Topic! You basically somehow magically meet the poster above you in real life, the real person, not the character. How do you react, what do you do? Do you fangirl and giggle, or do you annoy the brains out of them? Do you have a nice lunch with them, or sit down and share a bar of candy? And etc., etc. Let's hear it! :bouncy:

One of the most helpful people I have ever met, and one of the most fun too, be it from RP to running stuffs, or just talking in general.

I'd like to thank everyone for the valuable input and useful words you have all put in. I really appreciate everyone's advice, and I'm really happy that people decided to help me out with this predicament of mine. In the end, however, I'm seeing retcon as the best path for Eleni and my ability to RP her. So, I think I shall do just that. But, thankies once again, everyone! :bouncy:

What will the RPC be without Nathan? I honestly can't imagine. His flowery charms are a must for this community, and for the ladies. But very helpful and open person. One of those few people who you genuinely feel comfortable and at complete ease around. Also very fun! Also a great RPer. Need I say more?

Okay, so one point I think no one pointed out (correct me of I'm wrong though) regarding the grammar and language issue is that not everyone's first language could be English. We say we want well structured, good quality posts, but what if the other person just wants to RP, but is unable to do so at the same level as us. Similarly, not everyone is gifted when it comes to writing, and everyone has different levels of education in languages. This is why I will give everyone a chance grammar and post wise. While constructive criticism is good, I will generally try to avoid it unless I know the person really well, because the other person is also a human, and could, even if there is the slightest chance, take it in a bad way. So, no. I absolutely do not not RP (what...?) based on this category. People want to enjoy RP. And maybe if you, as a better RPer, by interacting with them can help them become a better RPer, then give them a chance, please. I say all this because English is actually not my native tongue, and I know all too well the struggles of people who are not all that good at it, but want to be. Relate that to wanted to be good at RP post and content wise, and really, that is one thing that should not stop you from RPing. Give the other person a chance. I'm sure they want to enjoy the game and RP just like you.

I'm gonna be honest, I have seen nothing but positive attitude from Okhi. Just so nice to get to meet someone and know someone who's always happy. It brightens up one's day. Always has good things to say, this lady. Hats off!

Eleni's chocobo is a snow white female named Mimi. Eleni initially met Mimi when she was under Cingur's care, giving him a hard time. Mimi was initially very frightened and troubled, and refused to trust anyone. Despite this, Eleni decided to take up Mimi as her chocobo. After what was a long time, and a fated event in which Eleni put her life at risk to save Mimi from a Morbol, the young chocobo finally developed an inseparable bond with Eleni, that to this day is intact. For Mimi, Eleni is now everything, and in Mimi, Eleni has a lifelong best friend. As Eleni likes to say, "I never figured out why Mimi was so hostile towards people, but I guess she chose to forget her past. Because I'm going to be there for her, and I'm going to give her a bright future. That's my promise to her." (Fun fact: Mimi is actually based off of my own white faced lutino cockatiel, also named Mimi )

I feel like I've done this before...? Eleni has extremely low alcoholic tolerance. It will take a few sips to get her to start babbling nonsense and become incoherent and all around stupid. Despite this, she still keeps up hope that one day she can conquer her alcohol! She is very fond of being pet on the head, ear scratching etc. and will start purring and go all relaxed and super happy. When she was younger her grandmother used to do this very often, so she actually really enjoys it. But not everyone is eligible to pet her. She will normally get defensive or back off. If one can pet her head that means she trusts them. She has an insatiable sweet tooth, she'll eat lots of sweets, chocolate being her favorite. However, she does not like caramel, surprisingly. She's also very ticklish. Tickle her and she turns into this little helpless kitten. Lastly, she's a hopeless romantic, and is very often daydreaming about couples she knows, and weddings and fluffiness. SHE STILL DREAMS OF VAL AND FAYE'S BABEHS!! Make them babies, you two! :bouncy:

Oh, oh! Okay, so specifically what happened is that Eleni got married. And things were going just fine. But the other party involved might not ever come back to the game due to RL reasons. That is what I meant by cut short. The problem is, that I just cannot see a viable explanation for her husband just disappearing. Separation or divorce is very very unlikely because well, like I said, things were just fine, can't point out anything negative in it. And death is just as unlikely. Considering things were normal and there were no problems or issues, why would he just suddenly die? Lastly, why I personally want to retcon it is because if either of those two things happen, Eleni will become very difficult for me to RP. Which is why I'd like to take it back to a point before that, so Eleni can continue being Eleni. Moar thoughts from you all please!

Okay, so I have an important thing to ask all of you, because naturally, you all combined are more experienced than I ever will be. Okay, here's the thing. How do you deal with an RP scenario that was perfectly okay in your book, and was going fine but then had to be cut short. Now considering that this RP is not minimal or passerby RP, and is rather big, what would be the best way to go about it? Retcon it or come up with some sort of post RP explanation. Personally I'm looking to retcon it as if it never even happened in the first place and start over from the point before that. But, valuable advice from your side is very much appreciated.

Right, so when I initially finished 3.0, I thought that maybe our character had an evil doppelganger who would end up being the Warrior of Darkness, considering that the CG trailers and stuff focus on the generic Warrior of Light, and the silhouette at the end of 3.0 mirrored that. But now there's not one, but 5 Warriors of Darkness, and the leader is our one and only widely recognized Hyur! Which brings me to my next question. All the cinematics we've seen so far, and the midlander we saw in them, well, are those cinematics supposed to represent the generic Warrior of Light, our characters, or was it this Warrior of Darkness all along? Another thing that's been bothering me since the Warriors of Darkness have appeared now, and because they're sided with the Ascians for some reason, is that what if our character, the Warrior of Light, is unknowingly doing something wrong. Something that they have yet to listen to or learn, that the Warriors of Darkness know, which is why they are with the Asicans. It also fits in for me as to why Urianger is even willing to enter into discussions with the Ascians who have so many times caused us so much trouble, and potential deaths, and a death in the case of Moenbryda! I'm so so confused now, someone needs to clarify this for me. Square Enix, you're making me lose sleep trying to come up with answers! On a side note, did the Miqo'te Bard WoD have a unique hairstyle, or am I not paying attention to the available hairstyles much?

Right, so I've been away for a while, both from the game itself and from RP, but I just recently came back with the implementation of patch 3.1. Health issues have kept me very occupied and, well, sad. No, I was not abducted by cat like aliens. Am I the only one who likes 8 for the females? 8 or 17. For the girls. For the guys... I dunno. Nothing really stands out. The hairstyles feel lazy? Eleni has an obsession with chocobos and moogles. If she finds one, she will pet and hug them. A bit too much. Which is why many delivery moogles run or hide upon seeing her. She also loathes King Elmer from the Saucer, because she just can't beat him in a game of Triple Triad. And he shows off too much for his own good. Few unfortunate souls can also confirm on her being very impulsive and extremely quick to anger. She's also very intolerant to alcohol. Gets drunk quickly and easily.

Veti is one of the sweetest, nicest and most positive people I have had the privilege to know. When she says something, I find myself smiling without even knowing it. Plus, she be very very pretty as well. *stares at avatar pic* :love:

What if someone invented a mind reader? And what if that mind reader was used on you? What funny silliness would it reveal? :3 I'll start. The most common thing that would be heard would be, "Did you do X?" (Where X is usually an everyday task like locking the door or washing my hands, etc.) "Yes." "Are you sure?" "Yes." "Are you absolutely sure?" "Yes!" "Are you absolutely positively-" "SHUT UP!!" E'yup, that's me.

Health issues can be very disheartening, but when things get too overwhelming, just stop, leave everything but yourself behind, set out a few days for just yourself and relax.
