The sun shone brightly leaving little room for shadows as it normally did in the Goblet, the air smelling of warm earth. Cliodhna sighed contently as she stepped out of the Sable hall and into the side yard; this heat was so nice. Tucked under her arm was what looked to be a piece of Galrean tech. "Okay...." She murmured, kneeling down and setting the small vanguard on it's feet. "Let's see what ya got Steiner." Pearl street always had it's problems, but because of the things that happened there; Cliodhna found reason occasionally to travel it, here boots clicking loudly in the night air as she walked. Though her gaze appeared passive, her sharp eyes were taking everything in; the drunk slumped against the door-frame, the whores heading out for work, the cloaked figure peddling ill obtained wares, his gaze fixated on her and glaring. "Get lost, we're busy." He growled at Cliodhna as she approached them. Her lips pursed into a smile, "No I don't think so...." She replied, slightly shifting in her stance. "Look, either you get the hell out or I'll make you wish you did. Pretty lil thing like you has no business being here if you wanna keep yourself proper." By this point the buyer; a Highlander looking to be in his late teens grinned as well, leering. "Right? I could take you out if you're really that desperate, honey." He grinned, flashing his teeth. Cliodhna shook her head, chuckling. "It's shit like you that makes me enjoy what I do for a living." Before either man had chance to reply; Cliodhna quickly delivered a snap punch to the buyer, his head jerking backwards as she heard the cartilage in his nose crunch as the force caused him to stagger against the wall before sliding down. The seller tried to run but she was already dropping to the ground and swung out behind him; sweeping her leg under his and knocking him off his feet. rolling quickly she tossed her weight against his and knocked him flat on his back; straddling his chest with her knees pinning his arms. "L-lady LADY!! Look I'm sorry! I'll give you whatever you want, here take this!! I got some high quality sum-fuckin hells!!" He cried out as she clocked him in the right eye. "First, you're a piece of scum selling this trash." Another snap punch. "Secondly you pissed me off with your comments. That is NOT how you talk to a lady." Another punch. "And lastly, you don't bribe a flame, you dumbass!" One more punch, knocking a few teeth loose in the process. "F-flame?" He gargled around a mouthful of blood and broken teeth. "Flames don't patrol this area!" Cliodhna backhanded him. "We do when you sell our shit." Turning her attention back to the buyer that had been scuttling away; Cliodhna spoke over her shoulder. "You, did you learn your lesson? Don't ever let me catch you this way again or I'll make your face match his." Quickly the younger boy ran off; hand clamped tightly over his severely swollen and bleeding nose. Still perched on the buyer as he whimpered in pain, Cliodhna tapped her pearl. "Captain? I got him." Shortly after a team of Flames arrived and picked up the Seller. He had been openly peddling a varying amount of stolen goods, most interestingly was a variety of Flame gear and had been a target to weed out quickly. Once they were gone, Cliodhna stretched and tilted her head from side to side; her neck cracking. As she did, something caught her attention. It was on the ground and in a heap of things the seller had dropped when being hauled off. Kicking aside some debris to get a better look. "....Thought so..." She murmured. It was a badly damaged Mammot, but the crystal looked intact. Knowing she should take it in for evidence, Cliodhna couldn't help but feel a bit sorry for the little thing as she picked it up and headed home...it would just rot in the evidence room forgotten. It had taken a few weeks but not nearly as long as she had originally thought. With a bit of help from Erik, she was able to repair what was needed and with her own skills form her former life, improve the overall design and concept by taking a model Vanguard toy that was typically sold only in Imperial lands she had smuggled to Ul'dah originally just to keep but decided on giving the Mammat a better body . Suddenly the sound of a small bullet cracked in the air; breaking the silence. Dragging herself from her thoughts, Cliodhna looked down at Steiner as smoke drifted off one of his guns. "Mistress! A threat was detected and has been eradicated. Praise me, PRAISE ME!" The small Vanguard boomed, it's arms shifting and key twirling happily as a bird dropped from the sky and landed at her feet; bullet in it's chest. Chuckling slightly, Cliodhna knelt down and patted Steiner on the head. "Thank you Steiner, but we'll have to adjust your settings a bit...." Continuing to kneel she looked at Steiner with admiration, he really was a beautiful melding of the two technologies and Montblanc needed a playmate.

What does your character wish for for Starlight?
Cliodhna Eoghan replied to Maril's topic in Character Workshop
Clio just wants cute clothes and money....and a day with just her and Erik alone with nothing crazy going on would be nice but clearly impossible -
Count Erik and I under frozen flames buuuuut I've never been to grindstone so I'm not really clear how the fight in that setup works.... .____.

....I saw you at flame hall the other day with your fat cat...and stood behind you for a good five minutes petting and hugging it.

Wow reading all these are so fun. c: A lot of them mentioned acting out minor things with their toys and it reminded me of something I had done with my younger sisters a long time ago. Back when Burger King had all those silver Dragon Ball Z toys, we had pestered our mother until she had gotten us most of the set, (I forgot who we were missing but we had most of them.) Being stuck at some sort of car show for my parents to watch, we then spent the entire time in the back bleachers acting out stories with those toys.....mostly which included a scene where Goku died and we held a funeral; Vegeta danced on his grave and got yelled at by all the other attendees until they started fighting (Kai blasts were represented by using lemonhead candy.) ANYWAY now that I shared that derptastic memory; I wanna hear more starter stories from people if they got any to share! OuO

How would your character handle being ill?
Cliodhna Eoghan replied to Shayrei's topic in Character Workshop
Haven't given too much thought to being ill but most likely Clio would handle it the same way she handles being wounded; ignore it and keep pushing herself until it's too much and finally knocks her on her ass. Then it's still denying help and insisting she's fine while trying to keep going. Not in a "I'm saying no to get more attention" more of "leave me the hell alone, I've got stuff to do still." kinda way. Stubborn girl. -
"Ugh I need to update my character's Wiki"
Cliodhna Eoghan replied to Berrod Armstrong's topic in RP Discussion
I don't even wanna look at my wiki right now. The last update I did was to change around some songs on the track listing. >.> One day I will tie myself to the chair, take away the controller for the game and make it proper...one day. -
Different uses for personal rooms!
Cliodhna Eoghan replied to Delilah Scythewood's topic in RP Discussion
Technically that's how it's going, but for rp purposes; it's the Captain's room and Clio just started crashing there. -
@Sastra I agree, newbies need a lot of help when they're first starting out. (Remembers her first rp character....a bubbly high school girl turned gangurl vampire because reasons.... >n<;;;;; ) There's just so much to any given game and a way to make things detailed that is just lost on a lot of new players at first. If they don't have anyone willing to lend a hand and teach-or worse yet, a bad interaction-it can completely shut down someone on RP and they end up losing out on a really enriching experience. :c @Wolf That's another thing I love about big RP communities as well. Just the overall feeling of everyone interacting. Even if it's just sitting somewhere to listen in or watching people chat on a LS...it's great to see how so many people can end up being friends OOC because they've started talking IC. I used to be really shy/not wanting to meet or talk to new people but since I started doing the whole RP interaction on a open level like this; it's made me much more outgoing and I really enjoy that.

Shar's gil commissions thread! (Gimme gillllllz.)
Cliodhna Eoghan replied to aure's topic in Artisan House
Ohh these are nice. Let me know when you get a slot open? I'd love to have one.....though I have to ask; what would be the price on a couple bust colored? -
Or rather; what was the initial pull that got you into RP on any form? Personally, I've been doing RP's for about....14 years now and have done it over a few forms table top (mostly White Wolf) forum/IRC based and now MMO more recently. The first RP I was involved in was a Vampire the Masquerade campaign with a rather small group (only three people) and even though I was dragged in by a friend at first with little knowledge of the concept; I was instantly hooked and haven't really stopped since. What was really a pull for me was the fact that it was fast pace writing. You could be descriptive or just quick with reactions and in face to face instances; really get into the character with some bad acting. (Still not one for LARP...it makes me feel a bit silly so that ruins the immersion.) And there's always that uncertainty on how a event is going to end because it's being written as you go. SOOOO...I'm curious; why do you love RP and how did you start? o3o

Hi there! Well even if you can't rp with your main on the other server...I'm sure you would be able to do some sort of rp on the forums here. Either way, it can't hurt to try, right?

Cliodhna Eoghan replied to Yhen Yizeh's topic in Artisan House
Such skills, so jelly OuO -
Yeah that's what it looks like. From what I can tell; it's mostly loosely based on the story (since I'm unsure if it was ever covered by the original play on how he got there..) but I really love fairy tale movies/shows/books that rewrite the stories. (So into Once upon a time atm as well.)

I wanna see that new peter pan movie. OuO

Two reasons; It fit the story I'm trying to do extremely well.....and the first reason was how big I could make her cupcakes in the character creation. .___.

What's something nobody expects your character to be/do?
Cliodhna Eoghan replied to Unnamed Mercenary's topic in Fun Prompts
Clio has a fear of large bugs...So of course being in Ul'dah now is the perfect place for her. Thankfully she hides it well. -
Before I was able to get some more pieces that fit the style; I had that little red starter skirt on constantly and still wear that (and other starter pieces) pretty frequently. As long as you don't feel the clothes in question are out if character, I don't see why you can't wear starter stuff.

I used the choco shed at my free company. Hopefully you'll get a house soon so you can at least try it out....even if you do like shooting things more and don't use your bird often
-
Congrats on the job! Please let me know when you open slots again. I want an icon so bad cause they're just too adorable and would be well worth the wait. >u

I wish I had this back when I dyed my chocobo on my main. :surprise: I managed to get to Snow White - which was what I was going for - through a ton of trawling through various posts people made on different forums, looking for those who had gotten the color and how. I ended up with Bone White, then pink of all things, and finally got Snow White. I haven't even put thought into what color I want Chacha's bird to be. Maybe Dalamund Red, so he can run three times faster. That or Honey Yellow. Either way, having a calculator that can help with that bridge when I come to it is a godsend. Also, nothing wrong with grape purple. Grapes are delicious. Even with this thing it was frustrating to get even close to what I wanted. Still; grape is close enough for now and I guess I might try later on in a few weeks or so when I'm feeling brave Dalamund red is pretty, my hubbie has that for his bird.

Managed to get grape purple....too scared to try again for currant and mess it up so I think I'll leave it for now. Thanks for the help to those that replied.
