  1. I know it's jumping way ahead of the gun, but Garlemald. I want my world war, dammit.
  2. I have no idea what that is but what it's saying to me is "THIS GAME SUCKS, BE GLAD YOU LEFT IT".
  3. Good fucking god, I'm glad I got out of that bullshit when I did.
  4. -Spits drink- ...Go on.
  5. I'll sign up as gunnery officer/munitions systems on that ship! o7 Congrats, this is now the most heavily-armed ship on the forum.
  6. I know I wouldn't be willing to make you guys suffer through dealing with my nub ass through coil2 or, gods forbid, coil3.
  7. No less than three of my characters have that exact feels about guns.
  8. There's nothing wrong with playing non-traditional miqo (both of mine are), and though mixed breeds are uncommon, it's clear you've put a lot of thought into it, so I say go for it. As for your other questions, I'd say that there's no reason they wouldn't have as much a life expectancy as the other races (except those long-lived damn elves), taking into account that odds are high people will die in the prime of their lives because of the nature of the setting. The furred one? It's my personal preference, but I treat miqo'te as not being furred, period. Even the ears and tails. It's splitting hairs, yes, but I will never not refer to it as hair, and am kinda weirded out by people implying or saying otherwise. But that's just because I don't like furries so my opinion is pretty invalid.
  9. Sorry, Kyrrae, didn't mean to cut the legs out from under you, just that was my immediate reaction. That aside, the logic there is valid, but I would also posit that they at least train their conscripts in the use of guns/gunblades. Even Chao, for all her prodigious magical and physical talent, is well aware that sometimes it pays to be able to quick-draw and put a .50 SAP-HE in somebody (not that I'm implying Garlemald has calibers and special ammunition like that). Me, I would love to see that prevalence of guns when we go to kick over Garlemald. I'd rather be on the other side of the guns imbalance, but you get what you've got. Hell, Ghost would feel right at home.
  10. I greatly enjoy Steps, and given my alternative is to sit around on Chao doing nothing, I wouldn't mind tagging along, see how much easier it is. Be warned: I'm a bad dps that has demonstrated an alarming tendency to peel away from Vishap and fire the big guns. (Direct hits guaranteed or your money back!)
  11. Indeed. I may not have to consider shuffling around some of my characters to other FCs if that's the case.
  12. ...I hope you can have more than one alliance. -Throws alliances at like half a dozen FCs-
  13. I think Chao made her position on their intent very clear.
  14. Nah, you were pretty good at it, mang. Better tank than me, that's to be sure. Also, it's not much, but I may have put up about half a dozen screens of the expedition. (After weeding out the ones that were just Chao, as nobody is interested in those)
  15. Efficient? No. There's a reason why assault rifles have bayonet attachments instead of the other way around. But this is Final Fantasy. Garlemald's got 'em, so fuck it, they're valid.
  16. Rule of Cool is exactly what it sounds like. Doing something because it sounds awesome and badass rather than because it fits logic or the setting well.
  17. The gunblades that the Garleans are shown to wield, at least in various cutscenes including End of An Era and the one at Castrum Centri, are of the "actual gun with long blade bit attached on the bottom" variety instead of the FF8 models. I mean, the temptation is strong to create a fancy Ironworks-model one to give to Ganale as an ooooooooooooooold throwback, but then I also want to keep him with his mercurial greatsword as an equally-old throwback.
  18. Dear t2, Enough with the fucking Allagan jewelry. Nobody fucking wants it stop fucking dropping it. Or else orbital strikes.
  19. Only one of my characters has ties to Ishgard via his mentor, and since he didn't wind up dying at the Steps, Tahz isn't going to go full-on vengeance mode against the horde. He may be likely to poke his lance in and help out from time to time, but he's still aware he's very much got a death mark there.
  20. Void comes up in the BLM quests. BLM, unlike THM, is intrinsically tied to the void.
  21. "Chao's a funny name for a miqo." "What tribe are you from?" "There's no miqo's in Doma!" "Don't touch that (magitek device/Allagan relic)! You don't know what you're messing with!"
  22. My first thought is of Tahz, who would not be bothered at all since he's married to a not!black mage. He'd just be like /thumbs up, /cheer, /goodbye. Ganale would probably be the most leery about it, but that's because he's seen (felt) what arcanism can do to people, and is in no hurry to get that kind of lesson regarding far more direct destructive magic. Yuuna, though wary of BLMs, wouldn't be concerned since she's more than aware that a bullet can reach that BLM's head before it can finish a cast aimed at her. Chao would try to compare notes, probably.
  23. t2 is better with friends. Even when it still refuses to drop that damn coat.
  24. Darklight, wootz, and wolfram are about the only heavy looking armor DRG gets. S'why I want to collect the last piece (head) of darklight to join the Tin Can Club.
