  1. I'm curious to see your interpretation of Beatric. Mind if I add myself to the queue?
  2. Yeaaaaah, that's the spirit. I totally remember that guy!
  3. Turns out watching some Metal Gear: revenge is a great way to bolster creativity! 3 done in one night, hot damn! Zarek
  4. It's honestly probably one of the best things that has ever happened to the internet. No question.
  5. 15 minute sketch! I hope you don't mind my taking some small liberties with her hair.
  6. Let's go on a ride. A favorite pastime of the Misericorde chat is to share your awful finds on the internet. This usually ranges from the strange, stupid, and just... indescribable, enough to confuse even the most hardened internet browser. So, I want to take the time to give you all the gift of some of our most terrible findings, and hopefully you can give a little in return with some of your finds. Don't worry, it'll be fun. Trust me; I have like 5 boats. So, let's start off this thread with some of my favorite finds: *The Time Cube *Steve Spiros "Going Easy" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TPsPkhX9B-0 *Miranda Leek's Twisted! Also here for the written story. (You need a SomethingAwful account to read it and sometimes can be NSFW.) *The Hollow Earth Theory
  7. Doesn't matter who it's for, just as long as there's something to work with; descriptions, screen shots, previous art, whatever! It all works. For those of you who've posted, I'll start working on them soon. Just be aware there's no real ETA; I do them when I can.
  8. Hay peeps of RPC, I need some interesting faces to sketch out. Hit me with your character references!
  9. While looking for a new comic series to read, I remembered this thread. I picked up the first two Hellboy TPBs the other day after work, because of all the talk of it being inspired by Lovecraft. I loved it. Great series. Can't wait to read more. The art, the writing, and the themes are fantastic. I used to dismiss Hellboy as a one-dimensional series that appeals to pre-teens who listen to too much Iron Maiden. What I found was quite the opposite. It's very Lovecraftian, while being uniquely its own entity at the same time. The characters have depth, the stories keep you guessing, and the humor is tasteful and befitting of the circumstances. Outstanding read. Thanks for the suggestion. Just saw this and I'm totally stoked that you gave it a shot and liked it. Like I said, it's had a huge influence on my media intake as a whole, seeing that I got into it fairly young. I just love paranormal investigation stuff, with some dry humor, and Lovecraftian tones splashed in. I still need like 1 or 2 books to complete my master Hellboy collection, though. :bomb:
  10. I suppose I should finally get around to filling one of these out... Name: Beatric Reid Race: Roegadyn, Sea Wolves Primary class(s): Summoner, Bard, Scholar. Hair: Short, scruffy and unkempt. It's grey and a couple of shapes darker than their skin, but not too much. She also has a patch of white at her bangs. Eyes: Bright turquoise. Notable Features: A large scarification piece on her face that almost covers it completely. Also usually sporting a smudge of ash in the middle of her forehead and possibly a septum clicker. Clothing: Typically robes, anything loose fitting or items that would just make sense at the time. She's not picky, but just practical. Expressions: Concentrating, smug, 1,000 yard stare. Some Arts: [spoil] [/spoil]
  11. Thank ya! I'm still undecided if I want to keep it or not. As with most piercings, it'll probably end up coming and going as I feel like.
  12. Re-working an old picture and possibly considering giving Bea a septum clicker, 'cause those things are so damn pretty.
  13. I know this goes without saying, but ugggggh, I can't wait for phase four of beta! I finally got my computer shipped over without any issues and I am sll set to play this shit! The random chatter in Misericorde's skype chat has been keeping me occupied, though more enthused than ever. Also, maybe Archage. There's boats for wrecking things and I might need that in my life.
  14. Yes on all of these! Especially Dark Souls 2 and Destiny. They're going to be soooo good!
  15. Great! I look forward to seeing what you come up with!
  16. Here's what I've got so far: Bea's grimoire! It'll probably linger in WIP hell for a while, though...
  17. Why should the writers have all the fun? There are a fair amount of artists on this board, so I figured drawing a prompt would be just as fun as writing one. Draw some of your character's equipment (weapons, armor, tools, personal belongings, etc) that's unique to them. I don't know about you guys, but I've been needing some practice on drawing non-living things, so this'll be some good motivation! Obviously, as with other prompts, skill level does not matter here, so feel free to contribute. We're not here to judge. I'm currently working on my on contribution and I'll update as soon as I sketch out a few.
  18. Absolutely loving the way it turnrd out. Great work!
  19. I wanted to draw a grizzled Lalafell, so have a Wart!
  20. Fffffffff, you're spoiling me! I seriously love her expression and how dusty her third eye looks. Thank yooooou!
  21. I dunno if I'm too crazy about this. Not that it's a bad thing, but I've played a few MMOs with the talking emotes and they always tend to take me out of the moment when used, because how ridiculous they look. Here's hoping they swing for something more natural.

    Misericorde

True facts. Just about everyone involved in Misericorde has some kind of dain bramage in the brainular and sub-brainular areas. It's all very scientific.
  23. Ya'll are a bunch of turbo nerds, only sitting around only playing video games. (I'm kidding). For me, I've been keeping myself busy with getting myself back into drawing everyday, playing Kentucky Route Zero on Steam, playing my Mechromancer on Boarderlands 2, prepping myself to play my first round of air soft, hunting around the local nerd shops for all the issue of Gunpop, seeing all the summer flicks at a drive in theater, planning my move half way across the country, continuing to create my Iron Kingdoms character as well as further developing Bea... Oh yeah, and yesterday Shuck, myself, and a couple of friends went on a 4+ mile hike to see some abandoned POW tunnels. It was amazing, but the ceiling was literally crawling with bugs the size of mice and it was pitch dark. I'd be lying if I said I didnt shriek...alot. I also currently have no skin on the back of my heels. Good times!
  24. Sword & Sworcery! Serously, despite being a tablet game, its a top contender for one of my favorite games. It's very art, music and story driven, though, just in case you're more into fighting games. But, yeah, definitely check it out. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.capybaragames.sworcery&hl=en
