Errr. I feel kind of guilty posting here, haha. I should be able to just draw my own people. ; ; But y'know...Just in case. K'aworu Rhea - Male, Sun Seeker Miqote Wiki Page He's young, and I have difficulty drawing his picture age-appropriate. He's also kind of thin, on the side of being malnourished. Kind of girly, and is often mistaken for a girl. He has short, uneven silver-blonde hair. It's short all around except on one side (his right) that is long and braided. If it were let down, it would be curly. His hair would literally be half long, half short. His right eye is gold, while the left is a vibrant teal. His skin is slightly tan, but not all that dark. He has dark, red bags beneath his eyes. Clothing-wise, please feel free to dress him in whatever you like. He doesn't really care and will pretty much wear what he's told to. His height is small. He is very short for a miqote. Important details include a scar on the left side of his jaw, and significant scarring across his throat. It was slit, blade jagged. It left a lot of damage there.

Yes, that's right. According to what I remember in FFXI, that is. They had both White and Black mage abilities (but they were, essentially, "less potent" as compared to someone who was a full-on-specializing in those fields). They also used swords and shields. So they're kind of a combo of White Mage + Black Mage + Gladiator

I can't really answer if it'll ever be in game or not, but I don't see why you couldn't construct a character with similar traits. Generally, IG =/= RP. So, since the Red Mage is sort of a mix (primarily White Mage and Black Mage skills, iirc?), your character could have knowledge of both sets of skills and be able to use them, provided you don't go too overboard and god-mod, etc. Granted, when you RP them, you couldn't really actually title them a "red mage" so much as "this guy is sort of a jack of all trades." (I'm going off what I remember them doing from FFXI, for the record.)

I WILL PLAY ALL OF THE THINGS. But Bard has always been one of my primary goals. That/Whitemage/etc. I'm usually way better at the heal-y classes, but hnnngh. I love bards. so much. In RP, Ophelia will be joining the songstress ranks, as well!

I will admit, I have been mostly active since November when 1.0 shut down, but even today I am still really intimidated by a lot of users here. ;n; I'm not really sure why... everyone has been more than kind to me! I still haven't really RPed much with anyone. Nothing super heavy, I guess? I'm still really looking forward to doing it in-game, but kind of terrified at the same time. Hey guys! With Phase3's lift of the NDA for screenshots, I wanted to remind people who either haven't given me references, or want to change their old 1.0 ones, to take some new screenshots! To go sort of alongside the picture thread in a way...I dunno, haha. I thought it might be a good idea to have people post their character names so we can friend each other and locate one another. I really want to RP with everyone. I actively started talking to people literally on the last day of 1.0, so I didn't get to RP with anyone prior to that. Game-wise though, I am reeaaally looking forward to all the new quest and lore what nots. I really want to see all of the cities, housing, everything. Yes. I think that sums up my feelings, actually. Everything.

Forgive me if I'm off base here as far as how people do RP here, but it's been my understanding that you're not literally bound by the game mechanic. Taking my character, K'aworu for example. He is for all points and purposes a Conjurer and is affiliated with the Fane. However, he does have some talent in Archery. But for RP, I wouldn't really /need/ to switch between those two jobs for the sake of the RP. I could easily keep him, IG-wise, as either class/job. I could easily keep him as a CNJ, but through the course of RP, use text and other context clues to talk about his archery, or even demonstrate it in RP just using writing. I don't think I have to change him to the ARC job to say he can shoot an arrow, or say that he is shooting an arrow in an RP session. This has just been my impression on the matter. Changing jobs how the game does it, I don't think has any actual RP representation. Your character can just /know/ those other skills (logically, of course. Not in a godmodding sense.)

To touch on what Ronberku said; I was the same. I /did/ see a bit of open-world ("public") RP, but from what I understood, a majority of players took it to a private chat/venue because non-RPers mocked them (which is silly, considering Besaid was publically called the unofficial RP server. What'd they think they'd find?) Anywho! I'm fine with open-world/public roleplaying, myself. =]

Well, it's not QUITE a wheel, but if you take a peek at the newest blog post about character creation ( http://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/blog/post/335 ) It shows a nicely updated section for colors up in the corner there. Not quite a full on freedom-wheel for colors, but it's still a significant improvement IMO. Some of the new tattoos though...not so much, lol. But to each his own!
