Just to get my house some more use. Goblet, Ward 10, Plot 42 A decent sized house. The main floor is a reading room with all types of books to look at and read. The upstairs is a research area and lecture hall for those who need a place to study and research or give lectures. The basement is the personal living space of Zanther so be mindful but there is a bathroom for use.

Just came up with a realization that solves the issue: I can still use perception and have a negative modifier when it comes to sight based rolls. Which actually explains one of his styles of fighting. He's known to use throwing-knives from time to time. Most just use one or two at a time. He uses a more barrage approach. Reasoning: He has a harder time figuring out the exact location of his target due to one eye. Tossing out lots of them makes it more likely to hit said target.

I'm trying to figure out a good angle with his missing left eye. On one hand, negative modifiers to anything attacking him on his left side...which would be hard from a GM angle. Perception checks could be affected but being taught how to keep an eye out for things and be good at observation...that almost doesn't work. I also could not have a 2nd flaw and cut out perception, implying Icly his lack of a 2nd eye is being negated by training but he won't gain additional bonuses from said training. And the bald was a phase (and as a sign of mourning at the end of 2.55) so he just shaves his head time to time

Hey. Making a char sheet for Zazanther and while I have one flaw for him (his fear of forests), I'm drawing a blank on a 2nd good minor flaw. So I was thinking, what type of flaws that would result in a negative bonus to various rp /random rolls that would be common things that are typical to Lalafell and are not too situational?

While I haven't used my Baby Opo-Opo in a long while, the minion you get for finishing the 3.0 relic quests I use as my Sch Faery whenever I'm not on my Scholar but she's still out and about. The wandering around is a bit annoying but liveable.

I have a Xaela named Ujihira Qestir, though sadly he's still in ARR content lol.

Ah, we had advertised a month or two in advance but I guess things slip under the radar. :C We will certainly be running another event in the future, and perhaps even in Eorzea as well as the Azim Steppes! Ah, well didn't help that I didn't have this char two months ago either lol (and my paying attention to events on this site have not been as attentive as I should be lol). I'm trying to get him through stuff but dam...such a long and boring journey in 2.xx territory. At least HW isn't as bad and the post 3.0 MSQ is shorter then ARR was.

Wish I had known this sooner...but also a downer as my Xaela isn't to SB yet (just starting on 2.2...have a long way to go) but just wondering...planning on doing this again in the future?

Good ideas and I'll have to take a good look at both places for sure. Forgot there is a smithing area over in Kugane. I'll have to take a look around for it.

I know. Wish they would increase the outdoor limit. I can see large houses maybe pulling off a small maze but that'd be the only thing in their yard.

Still...even if some of these eastern things are implemented I'd have issues choosing lol.

I'm not going to have room in my house for all that eastern stuff lol. Going to be hard to pick and choose. At this rate, my house will be a Manor/Eastern Style...

So, I tasked myself to make a smithing room for my FC. Question is, not all sure what to put in it outside of the obvious things like Smithing Bench, Armory thing and possibly a Leatherworkers Bench. What would you guys place in such a room?

Tbh, depends on what class I happen to be on while fighting lol. While being on Ninja, he tends to keep his distance if the person in question has a big weapon, like an Axe or Great Sword. For ranged people (and magic users) he tends to get up and personal with daggers and people with shields...all depends on what shield they have lol. While I've not had much chance to use it, he'll also use various Ninja magic as well. As a Sch, it's all about the range naturally. I'll sling out various elemental spells (one day need to make said list) that borrow from Arcanist/Scholar spell list along with basic Thm magic as he did learn some while young but hasnt' developed it as strongly. Against other spellcasters, he can null spells slung at him, or if it's lighting or fireballs, he can redirect it back to the user, while making it stronger in the process. He is also able to absorb certain spells, but all depends on the spell.

Cross-Server Rp coming...you better believe it! Joking aside would be interesting to see what they actually give the rp community and how it could help us out.

I've done some DnD in the past and have done (to my slight shame lol) LARPing with my friend and brother in our backyards over the course of nearly 10 years (we slowed down the last 4) and once I started in 14 I had seen lots of rp'rs on Balmung. Sadly, I was not able to get into rping in 1.0 cause of my **** computer. It wasn't until just a few months before Heavensward before I jumped into the fray (I had done some minor rping for a few months before) and have been off and one in the rp world since (more on my alt then main lol...main is looking for a good rp FC again). But ya, it was watching people on my server rp and drove me to want to join up with them. Glad I have for the most part

I might add my alt to this, as I'm a dps on him and hate the wait times on things (I'm in 2.1 so have tons of dungeons to go do lol...and Crystal Tower) I'll try and keep an eye out today if I get on.

Lol, welp...right up my alley, to be honest. Though I'm not on as much as I'd like (looking at you Destiny 2) and a strong focus on Au'Ra alt atm, however, I'm game for rp when I can. I've been too quiet on the rp side of things. My char is a bookworm and I try to follow lore best I can, though with our limited knowledge of Nym and Belah'da I tend to insert my own things that sound reasonable enough but only when needed. For instance, I've developed a type of ward system that could have existed in the age of Belah'dan rule from the ward thing you had to retrieve from the 2.1 story quest. Thus, he's a Scholar and a Scholar of the magical sorts. He is into rare books, which is why he likes to explore ruins on his own. He can keep any rare book he finds interesting and donates/sells everything else (my house reflects his book collection...I'm still adding books to the house lol). He doesn't have a strong opinion about Sharlyans, though was heading to the Students of Baldesion just as the Calamity struck, thus never reached it. Sadly, as Aurou states...if you were on Balmung it would be great to rp with ya lol.

Zazanther: After accidentally killing his mother, follows in her footsteps. Gets stranded on some forsaken island (Limsa) before finding a way off. Now wanders the realm seeking dark secrets of the past, including his own. Mandrag: Wakes up on some forgotten beach with no memory of how he got there. Years later watches his friends die in a fiery death before joining the Military and finding (and remembering)his own way down a darker path.

Welcome to the crowd. It is nice that we have a fairly friendly atmosphere in the RP community. Though the odds of Balmung opening up to even transfers is slim (my poor Goblin Rp char is stuck for now)

Just wondering, and maybe someone with a bit more lore knowledge can help (unless it's in the Lorebook...then I'll feel dumb lol for missing it) but do we have any idea on what a typical color scheme for Allagan life/flag colors actually are? I'm wanting to change up my char's rp colors more to reflect Allagan but not sure what would even work.

I will make sure to make it to the event tonight. THis might be what I'm looking for as my rp lately has been simi-directionless for the most part. I'd hate to leave the current FC as the leader really hopes I'd be a main part if the rp really gets going but I'm just not feeling it with them and might leave by end of the month if i like you guys

Hum...sounds interesting and mostly up my char's alley, though he/she has a tendency to like to share some things while hoarding others (books mostly, they have a massive book collection that will be shown better in their house come 4.0) My char is mostly into Belah'dan and Nym civilizations but also has an interest in Allg with some history with it too. Been more or less FCless since September with my current FC claiming to be rp but not much does go on (i might if i go to the house a little more often lol) I also do have a lovely house for researching at (Goblet, Ward 11, Plot 54)

Lol...ya you might not have been there for ARR early access ques...could take an hour or more to get in...it was really dumb. Maybe it was my luck for HW getting it, still seemed long and I was one of those "bad" players I hate to admit. Ok, I had thought so but was just making sure.
