Maybe they're all riding a desk somewhere? We can't all have 'heroic' exploits like you, Kale. If I wasn't so busy trying to play catchup, I might consider running my own Flames RP thing. Anzio's definitely got the IC chops, but with my fluctuating work schedule I feel like I would be a letdown. Being out of the way like I am now allows me a little more freedom.

Pascal would by your typical loser that gets expelled after a couple of years of skipping, doing drugs, and getting into fights, even though he's not that bad once you get to know him personally. Anzio would be a spoiled rich kid who comes off as a know-it-all dickwad with a serious dose of holier than thou, but is actually pretty just underneath all his glamour. He would be a class rep or a member of the student council for sure, and likely either absolutely loved or hated. A nerd deep down, though he manages to always have an entourage of jocks and bullies like Kale around. A'nzil would be that loner kid that always gets beat up and is average in most of his classes. People find his speech impediment annoying so they avoid him. His few friends are close though.

Hey there! Whenever I try to run the benchmark I get an odd error that says "A screensize of at least 1024 x 720 is required to run the FFXIV: Heavensward Benchmark." My screensize is 1824 x 1080. When I open the config the window immediately closes. It's very frustrating. Can any tech-inclined folks give me a hand?

Au Ra, Xaela tribal alliance and enemies?
Anzio replied to industrythirteen's topic in RP Discussion
Some my actual family and I are planning to make the remnants of a small Au Ra tribe that were already pretty bad off when the Garleans rolled in. I wouldn't mind some estranged allies, or even some folks that were killing our people off -
Anzio falls into this category as well as an experienced Flame. Pascal on the other hand is about a Basement Exterminator.

It had taken time to craft his little surprise. They needed to be dried and he didn't have any actual tools so he had had to make do when grinding up the Dragon Peppers. It wasn't like the Lalafell was going anywhere. He was going to wait right here. After a while though, his efforts bore fruit. He had a fine powder that was just as hot as the spice itself. The lot of the burning dust was dumped into a couple of pieces of thick parchment with a small fire crystal in each for a little pop to tear the paper and release his dust into the air. All that was required was the right charge of aether. A member of his first unit in the Flames crafted these little spice grenades. Useful things. If they hadn't been killed at Carteneau, then they might have ended up becoming a common weapon in the Flame's arsenal. The fellow was Ul'dhan like himself, so of course he was looking to start a business venture with it. Anzio didn't wish to sit around reminiscing however, even if he had nothing but time on his hands. Stuffing one of his payload into each of the pockets on the robe in a discreet corner of the camp, the Lalafell wondered around seemingly looking for other folks to trade with. The locals wouldn't want him here forever. Gridanian attitudes towards outsiders had lightened some since the Calamity it seemed, but they all weren't so keen on offering warm welcomes. They're were a few other folks passing through. He kept an eye on him. Looking for business prospects to any undiscerning eye, keeping a watch for any of the Chain's goons in reality. Were there suspicious folks coming through? Sure. But none stayed long. Anzio figured they were likely criminals of some kind, or at the very least people that didn't want to be found. In that trickle of travelers, a Miqo'te came. Whether they were a Seeker or a Keeper he couldn't tell because of the clothing, but neither were an uncommon sight in this region of the Shroud. Rather than move on, like the others, they stopped and rested. Casting a brief glance as he sauntered across the camp, he could tell a mask obscured the Miqo'te's face. Masks were also common in the Shroud, so there was no cause for alarm. However, when they took the mask off, Anzio nearly stopped in his tracks, and he certainly ventured a stare longer than he had intended, his emerald eyes not believing what he was seeing. It looked a bit like Kahn'a. No. After a second he could tell they looked exactly like Kahn'a. He had met the Wing's executive officer before. Didn't they get captured though? He had sworn he had heard over the Flame pearl... Something was off here. Realizing he was staring like a fool, Anzio turned and walked the other direction, trying to look as casual as possible. Was this part of some trap? Had the Chains made the man cooperate somehow? Maybe he was mistaken about the Miqo'te. He didn't want to risk another glance to find out. Hugging his arms close to his rotund Lalafellin form, Anzio slipped a hand inside of his robe to clutch the grip of his gladius. “Just be ready,” he thought to himself.

Anzil was first taught to read and write by Gharen and the task was continued by Ryanti. He's still not fantastic at either.

Me and my two cousins are plotting something similar, a family unit that's fleeing Othard (though not Doma specifically) to escape the Garlean occupation. One male and his two younger sisters. Depending on what lore allows we may be from a backwater region of Othard and have our own slang terms for things for a little "WTF are they talking about" fun.

One could argue that most of his military career had been one long, cruel joke and if so then the joke surely didn't end here. After inadvertently injuring some adventurers in Mor Dhona, Anzio had left the Yataghans behind for a different line of work. He was a new face in the Red Wings, transferred just in time for whatever in the seven hells this debacle was supposed to be. Given his relative newness to the unit, it could very well be that he could plausibly offer himself up to Swift at the Hall of Flames and after some brief questioning, get off scot-free. However, the Lalafell had been played dirty by corruption in the chain of command before. This whole situation had the same stink. It had right from the start. The Wings were his new home and he wasn't about to abandon them. Nymeia had a way of making sure he had some grand challenge to overcome in some form or another. Why not treason now? His own Flame pearl left him appraised of some of the situation. He had kept it as far as Drybone, heard the reports of two of the unit's members being captured. At that point he subdued a crow with an under powered lighting spell, and appended his pearl to bird's leg. There were methods of backtracking pearls, so if Chains had access to them, they could have fun figuring that one out. Some of the members of the Wings seemed like newer hires. Anzio had been with the Flames since they were thrown together before the Calamity. The Wings' patch might have been new to his uniform, but he was a veteran of the Sultanate and had earned his way to NCO status not once, but twice. He had heard of the Chains in passing. A unit that effective at its very specific MOS was certainly bound to garner some reputation. He knew a couple of things about them, but lacked details. One thing he had heard was that they always got who they were looking for. Anzio was a clever Lalafell however, and wasn't going to make it easy on them. Serving for the years he had, there were plenty of contacts and allies of his own he could draw on, both within the Flames with without. First he had tapped an old CO for some details about the Chains merely to know what he was dealing with. Information was ammunition after all. The other things he had acquired was some choice equipment and a little better disguise than a mere robe. Now he stood in the shade of the Twelveswood, white hair flowing from from a heavy weathered hat, with a matching faux mustache sitting on his lip. A monocle sat over his right eye to help cement his identity as old trader. Of course he had the simple robe too. Otherwise how would he obscure all the equipment he was carrying? Quarrymill wasn't too far from Thanalan. He had picked this place for a couple of reasons. The thick-knitted trees of the Shroud would seriously cut back on sniping range. If that wasn't enough, the settlement’s high walls would do the rest. If they came for him, they might still be shooting at him, but it would be within eye shot. “You sure you want these littlefella? Mighty hot.” A local trader that stood in front of him held out a few Dragon Peppers none the less, snapping him out of his reverie. Anzio had been bartering with another peddler that was traveling through Quarrymill, with a particular purpose. “Sure do! Ol' Saruta Baruta isn't afraid of a little heat. I got a mean recipe for these little buggers.” He took the peppers with a smile, ignoring the Hyur's casual slight of his height, normally something that would outwardly irritate him. Reaching for the coin purse on his belt, Anzio withdrew some gil with his free hand to give the man. “Pleasure doing business Mister Baruta. Don't eat those all at once, you hear.” “Oh, I shan't be. They're for some one very special.” He smiled again.

Pirate's life for me...

I've played through the main story three times now. There are limits to my sanity.
-
Dingdingding! I was going to fantasia an alt if I liked the lore. They look decent enough, now they just have to be decent enough.

I know Anzio will definitely be a Machinist as he has already had some IC training with magitek firearms. Psyched that the job looks so fun.

As a PS4 player I can tell you that in the Beta the only things you needed PSN for were Strikes and the Crucible (competitive multiplier). You can still play story and free roam content freely. Also, my PSN is ArgentCsero. My EU PSN is PenumbralCraze (I play FFXIV on this one). I'll be using my regular US account for Destiny though. Hope to see you out in the wild guardians!

balmung Looking for fellow Lalafells!
Anzio replied to Foforo Lunaforo's topic in Chronicled Connections
I have this fellow right here. While he's busy with Flame stuff ICly most of the time, you can catch him about here and there. If you're looking for something specific that could involve Anzio, just shoot me a PM or post back here. I would be happy to assist a fellow Lalafell. Sadly I don't get to meet many fellow Lalas ICly. -
Breaking up the yukata action with some pirate swag. A'nzil out of the wilds of La Noscea:

A bigger shot from Anzio's wiki. This was one of the coolest pics I've ever taken of him. Isn't he dashing and heroic? Obviously, he takes his job really seriously.

My Elezen character might fit in with this. I'll be keeping an eye out.

Ah, the Flame Yataghans... Like 86% women. Sometimes I think that's all Kale looks for.

Character Name: Anzio Zansio Character Gender: Male Dunesfolk or Plainsfolk: Dunesfolk Time Zone: EST (late hours) Server Balmung What Rp are you seeking? Any, though Anzio needs to interact with more Lala ladies than just his sister. I generally like plots as well. He's an Immortal Flame so he won't be doing anything overtly evil.

(Balmung) Looking for Order of the Twin Adder members
Anzio replied to Faye's topic in RP Discussion
I swore someone was shouting for an Adders LS + FC while I was doing dailies the other day... I forget the name though. It may very well have been the Surveyors as were mentioned before. Also, there's more Flame shells than the Yataghans? Do tell...
