In fact the term isn't even supposed to apply to roleplaying game characters unless you're RPing an original character alongside canon characters.

The PS4 can't do games in 4k, and if you're forcing it to upscale then you're actually hurting the picture quality. Set it to 1080p. Just got home from my cousin's. Yup, 1080p still has it. This right here, we're an eclectic bunch, a small sliver of an already niche demographic. While we might find the variety interesting or flat out enticing most like their men to be manly beefcakes and their women to be dainty and/or sexy/cute. I couldn't find the research in the time I have now, but I recall reading that even when players request variety like we have in XIV with Highlander women and Roegadames, character creation trends towards Midlander/Miqo'te types. I even remember it stating that even if the players make a stink about breast size, they still crank up the boobs to big when they have the choice (even female players do it apparently). It's just SE playing to its audience, and sadly we arn't it. Though admittedly I <3 AuRa females.

I thought the scale was stupid epic but the attack itself is pretty straight forward. We are talking about a setting where the main character is definitely an in-plot gary stu (not necessarily a bad thing, but c'mon his eyes and hair change color).

Important: Ignore plot holes about why Yugiri (or literally anyone) didn't just use a fantasia to hide her race when such a life changing vial of magic is common enough that accidents like these happen all the time.

Gotcha. Then mine will be brand new by means of Rakka'li's story ending and the avatar being name changed + fantasia'd. I'm not sure what you're asking exactly, by new do you mean a brand new roleplay character that has nothing to do with an existing roleplay character but might be created from an existing game character, or new as in creating a new character and starting out at level 1 with nothing? I think you mean the latter?

I'm pretty much writing reasons for my AuRa to end up with Rakka'li's house. There's absolutely nothing wrong with doing so to retain your RP desires. In fact my AuRa is going to be a remake of a character I RP'd in another game, one I had way more fun with than I ever had with Rakka'li.

You don't have to kill her, there's always the option of just retiring her and turning the character into the AuRa. It's what I'm doing with Rakka'li.

You can get around that by having the origin of the glamour a mystery for now, with the intent of it never being reproducable by current magitek. Not hard for me to swallow at all given the absolutley crazy magitek feats the Allagans demonstrate in second and final coil. Makes it more difficult to work with in open RP, but I think it could be done positively. Sorry if I'm derailing your thread with specific details Fai.

Well Yugiri just obviously doesn't know about it. I know it's a stretch. But like I said, there is way way worse things being RPd way less delicately.

Are there any established cases of that actually happening in-game though? It feels like a difficult pill to swallow - that someone would have a convenient permanent illusion cast upon them to the point where they aren't aware that they're a completely different race to what they thought they were. It's also - like I stated earlier - a cop out. We don't know a whole lot about the Au Ra yet and patience is a virtue. We don't have more than a few months to wait until we get a whole lot of information about them. I do wish more people restrained themselves and waited until closer to the time. I agree with you on every count but compared to many other things I've put up with in RP here it's a much easier to swallow pill. Additionally I've always held the view that if interesting RP can be had by pushing things then you should by all means push. In this case an AuRa that is ignorant of thier culture and eager to learn, as long as effort is made to fit things as best as one can and the reasoning behind doing it is a good one - that is it's done for the RP it will provoke with others and not because you simply want your character to be "cooler" than everyone elses - then I am open to it.

And if he is glamoured and has no idea he is an AuRa at all that would make the problem of not addressing thier exact history easier to manage. Some will roll eyes at you but who cares?

You have some interesting ideas here but I would hold off on doing anything more than brainstorming until we get the lore as we might get something that makes the whole thing much easier to work out. Edit: Much crazier shit gets pulled in RP, I think a lore bendy permanent glamour shouldnt be a big deal. Just RP it now and figure out the exact historical details when we get well... any AuRa lore. Edit edit: I am changing Rakka'li to a new AuRa girl character so I totally sympathize with having a ton of ideas and sitting on them anxiously.

Bloodbourne - spiritual successor to the Demon/Dark Souls - vetted developer Heavensward (duh)- active player of FFXIV, transparent, vetted developer Final Fantasy Type 0 HD - reviews have been out for years, looks like something I'd love Dragon Quest Heroes - I love everything Dragon Quest, gameplay videos just look great Last year I pre-ordered exactly zero games. So this is a big change for me.

I was thinking the alternate raid was going to be Floating Continent from VI, but they already announced it without calling it the Crystal Tower equivalent, so I dunno.

Alexander normal mode was stated to be "a little less difficult" than Final Coil, and hard mode "more difficult". They were trying to sell it as being for people who just want to see the story, but a little less than Final Coil is still pretty tough, and not something I think most people will be able to clear.
