  1. I'm not sure about Adamantoise, but on Balmung there are definitely a lot of RP guilds. I also know that, on Balmung, the Quicksand in Ul'dah is an RP hotspot. Welcome to FF14 and the RPC, and I'm sorry I couldn't help more!
  2. I'll do that! That said, I'll have to reinstall FF11 first. Since FF14 Ayu was a Keeper conjurer and a member of the Adders at the time of her unfortunate death, I'm thinking I'll make FF11 Ayu as a Mithra White Mage from Windurst, so as to keep the timelines similar. I'll let you know once FF11 is installed! EDIT: It's installed and I made my character. She's "Ayustarr" (since FF11 doesn't allow spaces) on Bahamut server.
  3. Tyll'a doesn't drink. During the five years he spent in the wilds, even one sip of alcohol would have been enough for him to make a fatal mistake, and even after that, he's never been one to drink.
  4. Tyll'a: Lost his family and never got over it.
  5. Nice to meet you too, and nice to see someone else playing a male Miqo'te! :-) If I knew more about your character, I could find out whether he and Tyll'a meeting would be feasible, but until then... Welcome to FF14 and the RPC!
  6. Tyll'a also spent some time as a depressed wreck, and he generally stays in the Gridania area as well. Maybe the two can meet?
  7. I'd love to be part of a crossover RP group! :-) I was thinking, with regard to the Starrs in FF11 and FF14 (if this turns out to be something), that it would be kind of a Spider-Gwen type of situation: while FF14 Ayu died at Carteneau, in FF11 it was Tyll'a that died after an outbreak of disease hit his village. So FF11 Ayu misses FF11 Tyll'a just as much as FF14 Tyll'a misses FF14 Ayu, and somehow FF11 Ayu reached out to FF14 Tyll'a in his dreams?
  8. What I meant is they're not playable. And since I assume this would involve playing both FF11 and FF14 (and giving me an excuse to give FF11 another try) that would leave Tyll'a out, as his Vana'diel counterpart wouldn't be playable. Fair. I'm content to leave my FFXI character in Vana'diel, though I do wonder if XIV will allude to it more outside of the one crossover event. I do really like the idea of one of the other Starrs possibly having a Vana'diel counterpart for this, though. Possibly even Ayu's counterpart could still be alive, as Carteneau wasn't a thing in Vana'diel...actually, that might explain how Tyll'a can see Ayu in dreams somehow, even though she's dead! EDIT: Actually, I'm liking that idea more and more as I think about it! What if Tyll'a dreams not of his own Vana'diel counterpart, but of his sister's?

  10. Now that sounds really interesting! That said, I don't have a character I can do that with, as my only RP character right now is a male Miqo'te, and male Mithra don't exist in FF11. However, depending on how an upcoming FC RP arc turns out, I might be making an alt that would be a female Miqo'te, and if I do, I would definitely look into that!
  11. Well, it turns out that Tyll'a just got the dragonscales, and still has to find someone to make them into armor...but I'll definitely consider getting that set! Thanks! If you're looking for a skilled smith and are anywhere near Ul'dah (or Limsa, if he's swinging by the Guilds), might I offer a Chachanji? If I can't find someone in my FC, I'll definitely look into that! Thanks! Actually, the white/blue version of that is the armor that I'm replacing with the dragonscale armor. But I would definitely be up for getting the dyeable version!

  13. One of my FC mates is getting Tyll'a some dragonscale armor ICly - now I don't have to worry about his armor burning anymore! However, as I don't really know most of the armor sets in FF14, I don't know what armor set would be the best. Ideally, I'd like to find one that works for both my ROG/NIN class and my THM/BLM class, but if that's not possible, I'll settle for one that just works for ROG/NIN. Does anyone know if such a set exists? Thanks!
  14. Absolutely, it sounds like they have some good common ground! We'll have to set up a time for them to meet then!
  15. Well, Tyll'a absolutely hates the Garleans, and also has trouble with his aether (as in, he's completely cut off from it)...maybe Tyll'a and Faye could meet sometime?
  16. Once Tyll'a finishes recovering from his latest injury, I'd be more than willing to have him meet Adodak!
  17. I know I'm a bit late to this party, but Tyll'a is actually completely cut off from his aether. When he was an infant, his mother had a summoning accident, accidentally summoning a minor primal. No one was hurt, thankfully, but Tyll'a was cut off from his aether, and that's why he can't use magic. Of course, he doesn't know any of this. He only knows that he can't use magic, and he wants to find out why!
  18. I completely agree with Deahfel there!
  19. Syranelle has only been on the surface since the Calamity, so any visits to Mealvaan's Gate would have been in recent years and of increasing frequency in the last two. Ah, in that case they wouldn't have met, given that Tyll (Tyll'a's mother) went missing shortly after the Calamity.
  20. How long has Syranelle frequented Mealvaan's Gate? I'm asking because Tyll'a's mother worked there before the Calamity, and maybe they could have met?
  21. That sounds like a pretty interesting plot and even if Tara can't help maybe she can keep an eye out for something helpful down the road. I'd be more than happy to set something up if you'd like to Rp and talk about all that. Feel free to poke/add me in game if you wish! Looking forward to it! :-)
  22. Aetheric researcher, eh? Since Tyll'a is completely cut off from his aether (owing to a summoning accident on the part of his mother when he was an infant), maybe we could have him run into Tarasa somewhere and possibly ask for help finding out why he can't use magic?
  23. Once you transfer to Balmung, I'd love to RP with you!
