Starlight Refuge is an RP/PvE FC on Mateus. Formed by the Starr family - themselves refugees, the Refuge provides a home for those who have lost theirs. What made you switch servers from the main stage of them all to the new premiere stage that is mateus(or so I hear) if you don't mind me asking? I switched servers because the seemingly permanent lock on new characters was being a damper on my RP. The only character I was able to create on Balmung before the lock was put in place was Tyll'a, and people were complaining when I was on Tyll'a in game, but RPing another character.

I am also new to Mateus (having moved there from Balmung), but I definitely have roleplay experience. I'd be interested in sometime having one of my characters (probably Tyll, since she's more likely than either Tyll'a or Krydryss to go out and meet new characters) meet Arashi if you're interested.

I would definitely be interested in having Tyll meet Eadmadus! She's mentored other characters before in her backstory, so if you want I can have her act as somewhat of a mentor to Eadmadus. Also, I'm in the process of starting a new FC on Mateus; if you're interested in that, I'd be glad to have you!

You've been added in! :moogle: I do want to double check though... are Tyll Starr and Tyll'a Starr two separate characters? They are. Tyll'a is my main and the character I play most often. Tyll is his mother and the IC point of contact for new FC members. Keeper naming conventions can be confusing at times.

I am starting a new RP/PvE FC that might be up your alley. Here's a bit of a description: So, Starlight Company is a newly formed adventurer-company FC. 100% agreed with all of this. Also, the best way to learn to DM is to practice. Run a side storyline to get the feel of it before you do a main storyline.

I wouldn't consider myself a heavy RPer, but I do have experience with storyline RP. I would definitely be willing to help you with that. That said, keep an eye on this thread, as there are others who could help more than I can.

This looks really interesting! I might be interested in this, but I would need more information for me to be able to decide whether I have time to do this, and if I do, what kind of character I would make. After all, I've come up with more than one idea. So, what I'd like to know first of all is what the timing would be like. Would we have a set time? If so, what would work for you? Second, what server would this be on and what class are you planning on starting as? If we end up doing this, I would like to be on the same server and start in the same city, after all. Knowing how stubborn and injury-prone Tyll'a is, he'd probably be a patient in one of the NPC infirmaries.

Thankfully Tyll'a has overcome his Fear of his son's death. So now he would probably take the colors of Compassion or Love. Feral Tyll'a is still Rage, though.

What would Tyll'a be... Normally, Tyll'a would probably be Indigo. However, right now he's definitely Yellow, and Feral Tyll'a is without a question Red.

Tyll'a, for one, hates Garleans. Although that's a bit fair, as his sister died at Carteneau. But still, he's much more likely to draw his blades against a Garlean than he is to talk to one. That said, there is one ex-Garlean that he considers a friend.

Tyll'a would be a two-phase boss. Phase 1 Stubborn Miqo'te T Y L L ' A Tyll'a fights with his blades and his magitek staff. Dual Slash: Tyll'a's basic attack. Tyll'a slashes at the tank, inflicting damage twice. Charge: Tyll'a charges at the tank's legs, inflicting damage and a Slow if he hits. Elemental Blast: Tyll'a uses his magitek staff to send a blast of an element of his choice at the tank. Strategy: This first phase is a tank-and-spank fight. Heal through his attacks and you should have no problem. At 60% health, Tyll'a transitions to phase two. Phase 2 Feral Miqo'te T Y L L ' A Tyll'a no longer uses his magitek staff. However, his blade attacks are much faster and randomly attacks other party members in addition to the tank. Feral Slash: Tyll'a's basic attack. Tyll'a slashes at a random party member in range, inflicting damage twice and giving Tyll'a a stack of Feral Rage. Feral Charge: Tyll'a charges at a random party member's legs, inflicting damage and a Slow if he hits, as well as giving Tyll'a a stack of Feral Rage. Feral Rage: Gives Tyll'a +1% damage per stack. Strategy: At this point, the aggro table can go out the window, as all Tyll'a's attacks now hit a random party member, not just the tank. The healer will need to keep everyone up, and the tank will need to switch to DPS mode. This phase is very much a DPS race, as Feral Rage will quickly overwhelm the party if there isn't enough DPS.

I would definitely say to transfer characters to Balmung. That's the best RP server I know of, and you can use the character transfer function in FF14 to get around the block on character creation.

I'm on Balmung, I really like it, and it's not all that hard to get there. Just transfer a character from another server. You can even transfer from an EU server to Blaming - I did!
