1. Hey there, and welcome aboard! Sadly I'm not in EU myself- more NA- but you could probably find me during the weekends at least. I can tick the checkbox of 'older' veteran mentoring with Kasi- she's 32 (is 32 old? Damn) with 17 years of combat experience, from the tribes in the Twelveswood, an ex-soldier with the Twin Adders, and makes a living these days as a wandering mercenary, trader, and cook (that might also possess significant underworld/criminal connections- ahem). That said, she's a huge proponent of looking out for and helping kin- essentially any Miqo'te. You could probably call Kasi a bit of a racial nationalist. In any case, you're more than welcome to run into her sometime!
2. It's $18 to get onto Balmung- no catches or anything else. It's just a server transfer. It is certainly more time efficient and cheaper than wasting the time trying to brute-force your way in after maintenance windows. In any case, Balmung is the place to be when it comes to RP- doubly so if that's what you're primarily after! In any case, welcome aboard FFXIV and best of luck on the hunt!
3. Hey there, and welcome back aboard the RPC and FFXIV! Being an NA player myself, I can't really recommend any EU FC's off the top of my head- but I am under the impression Azeyma's Oath has a pretty good amount of EU timezone people at least. I might be wrong on that though.
4. Hey there, and welcome back aboard the RPC and FFXIV! I can potentially recommend some, but it really depends on your character more than anything else. As for in-general Linkshells? Yeah, best bet is just to browse- your mileage will vary, however, as the amount of activity is going to vary wildly.
5. Hey there and welcome aboard to the RPC and to FFXIV! Feel free to use the Character Workshop / Making Connections forums for yourself- it'll help you get a leg up and be off to the races that much faster!
6. Hey there, and welcome aboard to the RPC! There is definitely a strong active EU community here on Balmung; as has been previously hinted at, Balmung is really the one-stop-shop for all things RP. So, if that's your priority? Hop on board!
7. Hey there, and welcome aboard to the RPC and to Balmung! The biggest thing with MMO RP is that it's persistent-world. RP here is always in motion, whether you're offline or online, and you are one writer writing one character in a story that spans thousands of characters. You help pen the story by moving your own character, but you get the suspense of a reader since you never know quite what's going to happen. It's kind of like a Choose Your Own Adventure novel on steroids!
8. Hey dude! I can potentially offer up some allies/accomplices with the Mischief's Coven free company. Our sphere of influence is largely limited to Gridania, but at the same time we're all over the place. In essence it's a tavern front for the mob and organized crime ranging from drugs, hired muscle, slavers and everything in between. While relatively small, we have a pretty heavy amount of churn generally on a nightly basis (12-21 people), so there's usually someone RP'ing around the tavern in the late afternoons/evenings. You can read the nitty-gritty details on the general tone of the Coven and how some of it works via the link in my signature, but it's always cool to sign on new contacts regardless! We have an IC LS specifically for contractors / family communication too, if that helps.
9. Hey there, and welcome aboard to the RPC! Best of luck on the hunt for RP!
10. Everyone else has already beaten this wardrum enough, so... Hey there, and welcome aboard to the RPC and to Balmung!
11. Hey there and welcome aboard to the RPC! Best of luck on your hunt for RP on Behemoth!
12. It was great running into y'all in Southern Thanalan over the weekend! Despite the inherent conflict in double-booking the same spot for separate DM storylines at the same time, the notion to semi-integrate both together on-the-fly was awesome. I would not frankly- or realistically- expect that level of willingness to go an extra mile, especially because DM storylines tend to be intolerant toward outside interference. Y'all are awesome!
13. Hey there Sileas! The Coven could provide a venue for y'all for performances, if you'd like! We have a semi-open stage on Thursdays for the Wings/Beer deal -- http://ffxiv-roleplayers.com/showthread.php?tid=18868 Otherwise, I know Rhen was looking for some adult entertainers here in the last few weeks, if that tickles at all.
14. Rhen already got to you here, and since you don't have a Welcome Desk thread... Hey there, and welcome aboard to the RPC and to FFXIV!
15. Hey there, and welcome aboard to FFXIV and the RPC! Most FC's, and even linkshells, have their own Discords, so you should be able to plug into a few of them once you're off to the races!
16. Hey there and welcome aboard the RPC! If you're after RP first and foremost, you'll want to move onto Balmung ASAP. It's an $18 transfer fee and despite what the site says, you can use it to get onto Balmung.
17. Hey there, and welcome back aboard the RPC and FFXIV! Character sounds pretty rad, too!
18. Hey there and welcome aboard to FFXIV and the RPC! As many have already said... if you're mostly after the RP, Balmung will be the place to be! Regardless, best of luck on the hunt!
19. Hey there and welcome aboard to the RPC! Miqo'te master race. Best of luck on the hunt on Jenova!
20. Hey there and welcome aboard the RPC!
21. Was great seeing everyone come by the other night! Apologies to anyone who had trouble getting in- at points we were getting overwhelmed by the turnout. You might say we got... mobbed. Hope to see y'all next week!
22. Hey there and welcome aboard the RPC! One of the resident lore gurus ought to be around to help! Sadly Au Ra isn't really my area.
23. Hey there and welcome aboard to the RPC! As has been previously stated, yeah, Balmung is the place to be if you're after the RP. Think Oyuu has got you pretty well covered here!
