  1. Thank you so much! I had this character idea for a while, mainly play him in DnD. It was fun adapting him into a FFXIV setting! If you like to RP sometime let me know Absolutely! In fact if you end up at the Mischief's Coven Tavern where Liliro is, you'll probably have a good chance to find Kasi there too sometime! In fact, it's probably inevitable. Kasi is a for-hire mercenary who certainly doesn't mind dealing in the underworld, so she certainly doesn't shy away from delving into the shadows to make things interesting. I have generally avoided the Quicksand myself- it is entirely possible to exist "off the grid," so to speak! Most definitely! I just read over her profile and I love the character! Perhaps we can do buisness where my character is still rather new to the land. Sounds like a slam dunk to me! I shall add you to my hit list here and try to get you tonight, if not in the near future!
  2. Hey there! I would suggest hitting the Coven over here: http://ffxiv-roleplayers.com/showthread.php?tid=17879 They have an open tavern in the Lavendar Beds and a nifty little plot hook you use as a code word that you're looking for work (just order a bloody mary). You don't have to be a member of the FC in order to participate with their stuff either! Disclaimer: Kasi is currently employed by them too, so I might be a little biased. Ahem.

  4. Welcome aboard to the RPC and to Balmung! Glad to see another character that edges into the evil spectrum. Good stuff!
  5. Welcome back aboard! The world needs more lawful evil characters. grunt of approval Kasi could potentially run into her for business reasons. She's not very aetherically skilled, and relies more heavily on pure martial prowess and her strength to get things done, but she's started trying to learn more about aether manipulation. Specifically, she's interested in spell defense. Being as how she errs on the lawful evil side herself, she hardly shies away from the darker stuff either.
  6. Hey there, and welcome aboard! Best of luck on the RP hunt- you might want to consider tossing up a Making Connections post if you're in the market for anything specific, far as connections go!
  7. Welcome aboard to the RPC and Balmung! If you're looking to make a number of connections all at once, the best I can suggest is tossing up a post in the Making Connections forums. Then you can outline what you're looking for in particular as far as connections go- something ballpark-specific can help a ton with forging meaningful connections with other characters. You know, stuff like some common grounds! Creating a page on the RPC Wiki isn't a bad idea either, if you haven't done that already. In any case, best of luck!
  8. In that case, welcome back aboard! Git 'er done!
  9. Welcome aboard to the RPC and Balmung! Be sure to create a Making Connections post whenever you get settled in- it'll help you dip your toes into some RP right off the bat once you have a fairly decent idea what you're going to be looking for!
  10. Welcome aboard to the RPC and Balmung!
  11. The nice thing is that you get a 60-character Search / Examine description for your character natively, accessed by targeting yourself (F1) and right-clicking your target bar and clicking Edit Search Info. It's a lot smaller than MRP or TRP allows, but there's no need for an addon so everyone has it, and 60 characters are enough to add in a small description, a welcome note for RP walkups, and a tinyurl link to an RPC biography.
  12. Yeah, the nicest thing about it is that the whole game world is persistent. Character plots and development are moving forward 24/7, whether you're online or off. It's a much more lively, breathing world! Welcome aboard to the RPC, and welcome aboard on your impending move to Balmung!
  13. In Game Theme(s): Employment, Crime, Entertainment, General Contract Work, Tavern FC/LS Name: The Mischief's Coven <> Contacts: Liliro Liro, Kynha Silverwind Website: N/A Housing (type): The Mischief's Coven Inn (Lavendar Beds, Ward 12, Plot 50) (Always Open) Adding this at the request of the GM, Liliro Liro, who cannot post currently.
  14. Regrettably I have reason to believe this LS is dead- after conferring with Deahfel, neither of us have had any luck locating either admin and the account that posted this thread has been offline for 2 months. Has anyone had any luck getting into this?
  15. Hey there and welcome aboard! The Quicksand Adventurer's Guild in Uldah is your best bet for walk up RP. Beyond that, checking the FC and LS listings would be a good start. Finally, tossing up a Making Connections thread with a discription of your character and what you're looking for will give you some more long term encounters. In any case, best of luck! It's a big community, so you should be able to find just about anything.
  16. Hey there, and welcome aboard to Balmung and the RPC! So, I'd suggest hitting the main listings over here: http://ffxiv-roleplayers.com/forumdisplay.php?fid=15 http://ffxiv-roleplayers.com/forumdisplay.php?fid=53 Beyond that? Hit the Quicksand Adventurer's Guild in Ul'dah. That's the best place you can go to try your hand at RP and get used to everything. It's the de-facto place for pick-up RP (otherwise referred to as random RP). You can also freely observe other RP'ers if you want to get a bit more used to it beforehand, because there is a TON around the Quicksand at all hours of the day and night.
  17. Hey there, and welcome aboard! As someone else who plays a very active mercenary in the community, I haven't seen a lot of organized mercenary companies. Your best bet is to individually network with other players and groups, sign up for events, get involved into every spontaneous event you can. There is a ton of IC work to be done out there if you go and look for it (or make it yourself and get others to join in)! That being said, there ARE some groups that do offer mercenary work if you manage to take the effort to get into touch with them. For one, I can recommend Mischief's Coven at the very least, who do offer jobs aside from just simple thievery, and you don't need to join the FC to participate with them: http://ffxiv-roleplayers.com/showthread.php?tid=17879 Hope this helps a bit!
  18. Not much I can add here! In any case, welcome aboard the RPC and welcome to Balmung soon, hopefully!
  19. Hey there and welcome aboard the RPC! Most players here are on Balmung, but don't let that discourage you. Best of luck on the RP hunt!
  20. Hey there, and welcome back aboard the RPC!
  21. Kasi's got stories to tell- and plenty of them! You already know where to find me, though.
  22. This was fun to do. More people should do it. grunt
  23. So shall it be. I'll try to keep an eye out for you! Poke me though if I don't get you first.
