Yeah, that sucks- especially sewage backing up. Speaking from experience, any time any contractor does work near a fiber run, the backhoe inevitably tears the damn thing up (even if they're told to use shovels and be careful). Then another contractor has to come out and fusion splice it back together, which can take a good day. So, even if it hasn't happened yet, I hope it goes quick! The old joke, "if you're ever lost in the woods and have a strand of fiber with you, bury it and wait for the backhoe to arrive" has some grains of truth in it.

I'll echo Erah- Balmung is as strong as it ever was, and little is going to change that. Now, given, there's not a lot of actual growth going on with the server locked down, but we did have a lot of old players come back and reconnect with the community- so there is growth of a sort, anyway.

Man, there's just something about backhoes, contractors, and fiber runs. Here's hoping you get reconnected soon!

Hey there, and welcome back! Going off your wiki and what you've written here, I think Sav and Kasi would share a great deal of common ground. Kasi is a bit of a wandering explorer, mercenary, trader, cook, mother, and a few other things on top of that. She's a pretty big proponent of Miqo'te nationalism (master race, cough), so there's not much she won't do for kin down on their luck or in trouble. To her, kin (Keeper and Seeker alike) and family are the two most important things in the world, and she's on a bit of a quest to try and preserve cultural traditions and heritage in the face of a changing, increasingly civilized world. It's kind of led to her establishing a bit of her own following over time (though I hesitate to call it a tribe or a clan). Kasi could totally and happily mentor across a good number of subjects, including wilderness survival, hunting, skinning, swordplay, polearms, and her favorite topic of all, grilling and smoking meat. I imagine a few of those things would probably be of interest to Sav! Regardless, here's hoping you find a good number of folks for Sav to meet!

Actually, Gabriel's backstory from that snippet works really well considering the "Dragoon situation" in Ishgard (i.e. that there's only, what, 12 active duty ones and they're all named?). So being a 'goon that never finished their training works perfectly well within that framework! Plus, being trained to kill dragons only to find out that Ishgard has more or less made peace with them would definitely throw someone for a loop, especially if they were really dedicated to the idea. S'all good- it's really just a word of caution is all!

Hey there and welcome aboard to the RPC! :thumbsup: About the only thing I can say here is to read up on Dragoons- they are one of the more rare and unique jobs in the game so they need some special consideration. The Lore forum may be able to help you there. In general, jobs in RP are fairly rare, at least on Balmung, so this may not apply to Mateus. Either way, best of luck on the hunt!
