  1. In my opinion: Balmung has the best RP. Most of this forum is Balmung-based. There are some from other servers, but their numbers are fewer and more in between. From my understanding, an hour after server maintenance, the locks are down. Though maybe if you were around at like 4am EST, you might be able to get a character in on Balmung while the server pop is low. RP is fairly public. Yes, there are cliques and some people like to just hang out in certain player taverns, but Ul'dah almost always has RP going on. The story kicks off fairly well. Though you can't travel between cities via airship until the level 15 quest. No level requirements for RP. Even the Grindstone, probably one of the biggest dueling events in Balmung, is done entirely through RNG. So a level 1 RPer in Ul'dah can go out there and presumably have a chance at winning. Questing and leves are the main ways of leveling. Dunegones do it too, and once you have a few unlocked, you can do 1 random dungeon a day for extra XP. Bonuses if you're the 'needed role of the day', which seems to be Tank a lot lately. Never DPS. Lord knows DPS is a dime a dozen. But the Quicksand and the area around it is the main RP hub of the game. The inns in Limsa and Gridania aren't as populated, through there are people who RP throughout the city, you just gotta hunt em down.
  2. Kyr and Malosi might be in some problem. Kyr be like:
  3. Malosi has had something of a psychotic break between the events in Ul'dah and friends turning into enemies. Kyrio has found himself on the outside and looking in, and going like: dIMw4rOIz0E
  4. I don't seem to remember the actual transformation being spoken of. I remember the member of the Holy See being a draconic sympathizer of sorts, using his powers to condemn to walk enemies off the cliff. But during a confrontation, a drake showed up to assist as the PC was seeking to but an end to the farce. I was always just under the impression that if people wanted to play Domian knowing that they're coming, that they just say that they are such. We know that they exist, so people will find a way to play it.
  5. Character Name: Kyrio Lamansque Wiki link/short description: https://wiki.ffxiv-roleplayers.com/pages/Kyrio_Lamansque - Recently more friendly, but I haven't kept the wiki up to date the best. Have you completed the MSQ up until end of 2.55: No, but I know generally what has happened. I spoiled myself and watched the Heavensward trailer. My character should be anonymous: Either works
  6. Pleased to meet you! Kyrio's home base is in Ul'dah. And while he tries to be an upstanding citizen, he has his past as well. so surely the two will be able to get along!
  7. Kyrio and H'Malosi are out for a walk in LaNoscea. They happen across sisters. Plot ensues.
  8. Kyrio would be a homeless scavenger who has enough manual skill to be able to put stuff together.
  9. This describes the last two days of Kyrio's life.
  10. Kyrio is 100% this. He's been friendly and a little flirty in the attempt to make friends. But one of the people he's developed an interest in now thinks he's a player. Now Kyr is like FML. But ~*~*~*~HUGS~*~*~*~ for you!
  11. There's another person introducing themselves here that is already friends with Kyrio. You're making the job of welcoming you and saying that I'd RP with you difficult when I already am. /striaghtface
  12. ^ On the short-list of people I really want to RP with sometime soon!
  13. It's also Wrestlemania day. So may all your birthdays be like... AN RKO OUTTA NOWHERE!
  14. We've never actually met, but you seem like an awesome person to RP with!
  15. Foxberry! Fancy bumping into you here. It seems we've a similar set of friends, at least in SWTOR.
  16. Pretty much what Eorla said. I've met a few of you, but most of you I haven't. And I'd love to have the pleasure of meeting you all in-game.
  17. I've probably seen you around! Kyrio hasn't tried to RP in Griadnia or Limsa yet, so if the Quicksand is the primary RP point.. probably what kept me from throwing Kyrio at you is either the group was too big for the conversation was over something Kyrio had no reason to ambush.
  18. I pretty much agree with the sum of what's been said above. Keeping IC and OOC separate is of course 'rule one' of roleplaying. BUT.. when a RP makes you uncomfortable and you're not OK with where it's going, it's time to handle it OOC. Let them know it's not happening. And unless they tone it the F down, the character is going to be finding the nearest exit asap and will be lining one's no-no parts with razor blades should the offender decide to follow. And that is why I approach people OOC when my character takes a shine to someone. Because boundaries are crucial in successful RP that may or may not include relationships.
  19. Remember this can go for phases of relationships. So it can be 'You know when X and Y were like Z? This would be their song. Kyrio x Sorora: The first two times these two have met have been nothing but sweet and gentle. So they get a sweet and gentle song to commemorate their meeting. _9cmcWQFrBM
  20. Ha'uruh: I guess I have to guess who the alt is? Faye: Yay! Just have to know how to find you. The same goes for Heart. I tend to default to Ul'dah unless I come up with a reason for Kyrio to wander off.
