I honestly was not too excited for the expansion ever since it was announced but after watching the gameplay videos it sure changed my mind about it all. The areas look so beautiful and I'm also liking how Ishgard does infact look like a city when you explore it, or at least from what I saw. I'm going to be spending a lot of my time exploring the wilderness that's for sure.

I was probably twelve when I had first jumped into the world of role play. I joined a LOTR proboards which did roleplay and during that time I was also casually roleplaying on a habbo hotel clone called Coke Music, or Coke Studios? I have no clue what it was called but I did enjoy it for some time. Although I had started pretty young my role play days had ended when I left that forum and coke studios closed down. The next time I would RP was when I joined SWTOR which really had me hooked until I came over to FFXIV.

This has pretty much happened to me shortly after the second launch. A Lalafell randomly walked up to me while I was waiting for FATES to spawn and he probably had given me about 6+ food for free. We kept in touch for a short while as he always supplied me with free food for whatever reason but eventually he left the game. To this day I had never received any more free food, and that some what makes me very sad. A player once bought me a HQ shield for a lowbie alt before as he noticed I did not have one equipped, and honestly I forgot I had a cheap one on me so I kept his HQ one because why not? nice community.

This is too bad as I did prefer the gil payment over actual money. The money paid with a Canadian pay pal account unfortunately adds up as the Canadian dollar is not so great right now but regardless it will not affect me too much. However the barter system does sound like it could work out quite well, even more so for the crafters out there.

Welcome to the RPC! I'm glad you decided to write up a welcome thread! I'm currently on the search for new people to interact with too because too many people I have got to know have unsubscribed not too long ago. Your character does sound like somebody I could get along with too so I hope to see you in game, I will not hesitate to say hello, and I ask you do the same. :3

Depending on the date and time I might be able to help out with your FC storyline. I have about 8 characters so upon hearing what you might have planned I can decide which character might be best for whatever you have in mind. :3

Welcome back to FFXIV! It is always good to see villains making their way back into the game. I have about 3 characters that would fit into the villain type role so maybe one day we might run into each other! I hope your return turns out to be quite enjoyable!

Welcome back to FFXIV! A hiatus every now and then is a good choice. Perhaps I'll run into you at some point and I'll have the chance to RP with ya. I'm always looking to opening up my IC connections when it comes to RP but yes, welcome back! do not hesitate to stop me too if you ever spot me out in one of the city-states or whatever. '3'

I would love to participate in some sort of events like this eventually. These are the type of RP events I enjoy most since I'm not one to always sit at a tavern or have picnics and what not. I had hosted many events for equilibrium in the past that had to do with these sort of events but do keep in mind for dungeons it is best to keep it on the easier ones and make sure you let your party know to take their time! People are often afraid of the Dungeon timer, IC dungeons should not really be about completion but more so the RP. :3

Sign me up! Not as this character because she is not as outgoing. My alt, Saeren Orbanis however would be up for something like this. :blush:

I'm glad I was able to purchase a home a long while ago. Yoshi had recently told his Japanese fan base that housing will be for those who work for it as an achievement basically. The price is supposed to help with the fight against RMT and that Personal Housing is supposed to be a means for those solo players that refuse to join an FC. I however do not agree with that and just see it as an excuse for the system that they have implemented at this time but what can ya do.

NOTE: The Free Company is under the moderation of FFXIV 2.0 players. The Arcanum was a cult that based it beliefs on " Salvation through Destruction. " They sought to reanimate Eorzea under their beliefs, for the people who are now in charge of the nations; are not what the citizens need to lead them through this new age. A being simply known as Legion was the founder of the group; whether it was forged by Legion himself is up to the debate of scholars and scroll-nerds. However his control over this cult has been going on for an extremely long time although he is hardly a threat at this time, his madness should not go unwatched and neither should his followers at that. At this time the Cult had been disbanded, and the new leader Kydenaux Langelier had taken the helm of Arcanum reforming it as an alliance between the power hungry, corrupt, and with the Void. The group is now small in size, but a brotherhood remains between those in the division, the alliance, and the leadership council. The Forged Axis is home to the notable adventurers who seek out a further challenge away from the Grand Companies and the modern guilds of today. The Forged Axis is the one of the very few central hubs where contracts are to be received, reviewed and than wholly accepted so that the adventurers can complete them for payment but the contracts received are not always easy, in fact the guild tends to receive the hardest of jobs that for the most part require teamwork to achieve success. Forged Axis offers much freedom, fame, and a place to call home in general but although the guild may have reduced in size ever since the Calamity, steps continue to be made to once again be known as the top guild of all Eorzea. Heya Zarek, JM is indeed an RPvP Server which at a time was amazing, but the RP community has been dying down for awhile now, its one of the least populated servers in the game right now but it was still a good server none the less.

Hello Everyone! I thought it would be nice for me to introduce myself. I'm looking forward to getting to know the community, to engage with many of you in game and RP too, I had heard you're all such a welcoming community so here we go! Well the only experience I have is with SWTOR on the Jung Ma server but before that was the amazing Ajunta Pall Server which triumphs over JM any day. I have RP'd for probably over a year now which is really such a short time but I have always been interested in it since I was young lad. My also had a brief experience with DCUO but it would not last very long due to the fact that the playstation 3 community lacked any RP which is not surprising. I do have several character ideas and will admit I can not only stick to one main character so you may see me running around with various alts even though the game play does not really require you to alt it up whatsoever but I could careless because being stuck to one character may turn me crazy. I had Google'd where to find this coalition, it was easy for me to find and was quite pleased it was easy to get connected. I am aiming to role play on a more medium-heavy level, I do not light RP just because I find it very entertaining so why not take it on a more broad level? I'm a fellow Canadian who is currently a working man, so work does keep me busy from my MMO's. I'm hoping to go back to school sometime soon and hope to move away from my hometown in the near future for the opportunities here is very limited.
