Meishuya is now accepting applicants! Visit: https://meishuya.carrd.co IC Within the beating heart of Thanalan lies an oasis for misunderstood souls. Like a piece of Hingashi plucked and placed in the desert, the Ishino sake distillery acts as the face for a deeper association: the Meishuya. It fashions itself as a home for ne’er-do-wells from across the Star. OOC We're a medium-sized, 18+ FC, containing morally gray themes with a focus on Yakuza inspired crime. We’re mostly active in the evenings eastern time, and this is when we hold many of our events. Our community is centered around the idea that everyone should curate their own experience. We’re focused on enabling people to enjoy themselves and become a part of our narrative. Members and associates (see carrd for more information on the distinction) can freely submit events through a form. We believe that many hands lighten the load, so we have an Assistant role for those who wish to directly involve themselves in our FC's narrative, granted on an opt-in basis. We want you to curate your own experience while being as involved as you’d like with everything that goes on in our FC. You might like Meishuya if you enjoy: Roleplay that focuses on interpersonal connections and loyalty to criminal organizations. Complicated social dynamics for your character, including things like secretive partnerships with leaders and peers, morally ambiguous events and other, secretive, criminal activities. Lore abiding roleplay with allowances for bending. Robust character systems for events that allow for creativity and freedom – but, with that interesting layer of randomness that TTRPGs provide. Long event series, shorter storylines and social gatherings. A safe, welcoming LGBTQIA+ community. And other things! SO MANY OTHER THINGS.

Hello hello! Been a bit a little while since I've visited, but I figured it would be wise to post up a new, fresh request for connections. What I'm currently on the lookout for isn't too specific. The past six months have been difficult, OOCly, and I'd like to dip my toes, so to speak. RP is a fantastic outlet and escape, and the FFXIV community has always scratched whatever itch I harbor at the time. So I hope to meet some of you soon! I'm currently seeking some RP connections for my character, Fen the Fortunate. I'm interested in both longterm plots and one-shots. Brief overview: Fen the Fortunate is friendly, flirtatious, and fetching Ul'dahn miqo'te that aims to make advantageous connections friends with others in various fields of background and expertise. Brief hooks: Fen is an Ul'dahn native and a frequent staple within the city. Anyone who visits can easily happen upon her. Fen can be hired to conduct "pest control", or what most would call mercenary work. Fen operates her own established & clandestine intelligence network. Others can join it. Others can profit from it, too. Fen is a wanted criminal. She had a hand amongst the Alacran who held power over Ul'dah for a time. Fen is fond of the arts, such as music and dance. She enjoys entertaining others and is versed in poetry and ballads from foreign lands, something soothing for someone pining for home. Her carrd, complete with more information, can be viewed here: https://fenthefortunate.carrd.co/

balmung Nastrond [EU Friendly Criminal Roleplay!]
Aldric Sayrillont posted a topic in Free Company Hall
NASTROND <ND-RP> is NOW recruiting! An EU themed 18+ Criminal/Dark roleplaying guild that follows the story of a organised crime unit that employs trade in the black markets as well as that of blood and bounty. What is Nastrond? With a name that originates in Norse mythology, Nástrǫnd (Corpse Shore) is a place in Hel where Níðhöggr lives and chews on corpses. It is the afterlife for those guilty of murder, adultery, and oath-breaking (which the Norsemen considered the worst possible crimes). The Mythos behind the title is where the origins of our free company was found. Operating within the public eye as a dive bar lead by the enigmatic Lord and Lady House Sayrillont, the venue holds as a front for an organised crime company that smuggles and secures targets as well as items to place on the black market. Though their main focus on items is those that would secure them the greatest amount of profit on the black market, the criminals found at Nastrond are not ones to avoid operations that set out for taking out targets for large sums of gil either. What rules do the Nastrond employ? The ranks of Nastrond keep confidentiality and subtlety first and foremost when it comes to their operations, only showing themselves when they need to be seen. They try to keep away from harming innocents yet are also aware that sometimes sacrifices need to be made for victory and can be ruthless and cold when they need to be also. Any act of betrayal within the ranks will be met with swift punishment, the cover and the main operations of the company serving among the tavern and the markets need to be done with the utmost confidentiality. How does Nastrond run its events? We like to stick to 3 events a week, which can include one shot jobs, the longer stories that can interconnect between major guild milestones and thrilling character development opportunities, and even a content night where we can push players through older content or map runs. We have something for everyone! And are always open for feedback. PLEASE be aware that Nastrond is a criminal themed organisation also, so do not expect every event to be a victory, and consequences have a fine habit of coming back on the organisation now and again... (Nastrond is a criminal organisation, so please accept that our IC actions in the world will come back in the form of IC consequences as far as character interactions and interactions go at times) Im in! How can I join? Feel free to message myself on discord or in game on Aldric Sayrillont if you have any questions or inquiries, we have advertisements on discord, RPC, tumblr and in game on party finder and shout chats. As well as accepting applications to our guild, there are lots of ways of entry to exploit, even simply finding us in the world and interacting works! We also accept external members in the cross world link shell to work alongside the companies activities. We hope to see you around as friend or foe! If you want to join, work with us or simply act as a rival to one of our plotlines due to the companies criminal nature, please let us know! Contact Aldric Sayrillont in game (Aldric#7268 on discord.) or Mairon Bauglir in game (Feynren#6959) for more information.- 4 replies

PIERCE TAWNEE AGE: 26 GENDER: MALE RACE: MIDLANDER CARRD LINK ABOUT PIERCE Comes from a crime family. Has a ridiculous amount of brothers. Raised in Ul'dah. Grew up just outside of it on some property his father bought on a cliff's edge. Always has a lot of money on him. If you hang in the Quicksand you've probably seen him offering stupid amounts of gil for favors just so he could humiliate people. He's got no concept of saving money or responsible spending habits. He'll toss a few hundred gil someone's way just to get out of his favorite seat so he can have it. Pretty poor socially and very harsh around the edges. You either understand how to read between the lines and understand him, or you will be incredibly offended by his front. Is not gifted at all when it comes to his connection with aether. He got a small amount from his father's side, and absolutely none from his mother. LOOKING FOR Mainly people Pierce has known across Ul'dah (mainly criminal ties) since he's been actively working in different criminal rings these past ten years. I need to find him some established friends in the underground of Ul'dah already. CRIMINAL ACTIVITY His family's main focus is trafficking. They kidnap people and make them vanish forever. Some of his brothers keep a few for themselves for cruel experimentation since a couple are very interested in the void. If your character has any involvement with the trafficking game in Ul'dah they should be familiar with the Tawnee family (or have worked with them from time to time). Trafficking of illegal objects. Some of Pierce's brothers brew illegal potions and elixirs and Pierce usually gets forced into playing delivery boy with them. Whenever he's on delivery missions it should be common for old clients or business connects to ask him to add some of their illegal goods onto his trip as well. Body disposal. Pierce has some connections with "chop shops" across the town. Usually butcher shops running illegal businesses out the back where they harvest organs and resell them on the black market to anyone participating in black magic or dark hobbies. So if you ever needed bodies cleaned up, Pierce is your guy. His eldest brother is a corrupt Brass Blade. If you need to bribe/use that connect going through Pierce is the best way to make that happen.

Dwassyith Swanra [This character is on *OMEGA* only] I. Basic Info Characters: Dwassyith Swanra Primary Character: Dwassyith Swanra. I roleplay him as a sociopathic, prone-to-violence, misogynist criminal. He is the kind of character that is very hard to get along with, but once you go past that (extremely thick) wall of unpleasantness, Dwassyith can actually be a valuable ally. Cunning, viciously sarcastic and heavily disillusioned, Dwassyith leads a life of crude selfishness and endless conflict, which often causes him to get into trouble with anybody and everybody. He begun getting involved with the trafficking of narcotics at young age and he is not a stranger to repeated murder under several circumstances. However, despite what seems to be a hopeless case of lunacy and pride, Dwassyith is actually capable of establishing long-lasting relationships with people. Yet, they often have a twisted sense of oddity to them that makes them take a harrowingly dark turn. To the ones he cares about, he remains fiercely and obsessively loyal to a rather unhealthy degree. Linkshells: RP Network on Omega. Free Company: Path of the Rootless on Omega. I commissioned this picture and this is FOR MY PERSONAL USAGE ONLY. http://robasarel.tumblr.com/ II. RP Style Amount of RP (light, medium, heavy): Definitely heavy. I RP every day and I put it as a main priority over all of my other in-game activities. So I can assure that I dedicate several hours everyday to progress my plots and stories. It's like an addition, the most beautiful of them all, for it is based on creativity. I am also a huge fan of dark/mature themes. I've had my fair share of positive, casual, slice-of-life tranquil and easy going RP in the past but I find that in the latest years I need my stories to have something more to it. What packs an emotional punch and takes the breath away, both in positive and in negative, I like. I appreciate the gritty, the sleazy, the crude and the realistic. Views on RP combat and injuries: Can do it both with rolls or without, depending on how my RP combat partner feels about it. I prefer the RP to be without the rolls because it leaves more leeway to creative writing and fairness. I think one can understand much about the other RPers by simply seeing how they handle IC combat, it's a moment where the true quality of someone's RP and attitude shines through. So yes, it is welcomed, as long as there is a person on the other side that is willing to be chilled, relaxed and go for what's reasonable and makes sense rather than anything related to ego-flexing. Views on IC romance: I've done plenty of that and I'm still open to it, just as long as it doesn't become the main thing. It's easy to burn out a relationship if too much obsessive focus is given to it, it's better to savour its sweetness bit by bit. It keeps it fresh, enganging and it's good for storytelling. Views on non-romantic RP (family ties, etc): Perfectly good, perfectly acceptable. Why not? If it makes sense with the character's background and the natural developments of his present times, I wouldn't certaintly put a stop to it. I have had the pleasure to RP ties a-plenty, and I still do matter of fact, for all my characters have relatives played by other players. It adds a further flavour to it all. Views on lore: I am semi-new to FFXIV but I am eagerly and voraciously trying to learn as much lore as possible. I abide to it, the lore is always my Bible to follow with religious dedication. Views on chat functions (/say, /linkshell, etc): I'll fill this one up sometimes later! III. Other Info Country: Italy Timezone: GMT+2 Contact Info: Alex6thJuly#1988

Whispers carry. They drift from bated breath heavy with the candied taste of plum mead or swift from the honeyed promise of narcotics. They echo off stone walls to weave through the underbelly of civilization, where the virtuous seldom venture. And when what remains of a body, flesh long since stripped apart by carrion and rats, surfaces adorned with soft carmine petals, the name "Rose" carries on those whispers. A woman whose ever-growing reach stretches from the thick air of the Indigo Deep to the snow-topped estates of Ishgard. A woman whose path lies littered with the bones of lesser demons. A woman who has a place among her court for promising souls unencumbered by an abundance of morality. Whispers….whispers carry. O b s i d i a n C o u r t The Obsidian Court is a small organized crime circle that thrives in the shadows. From small pockets of creeping influence, it silently tightens it's suffocating grip in the underworld through the illicit narcotics trade, bribery, extortion, and murder. The court has a place for any range of skill sets to be put to use. From mercenaries and business owners to physicians and academics, there is a place for any expertise within the gilded confines of the court. Any gift can be shaped into something of value, provided the bearer is deemed worthy of developing it within the organization. From the bookish recluse whose talents could assist in laundering income and engineering instruments of espionage, to the seasoned veteran who finds a sense of peace in eliminating those marked enemies of the court, there is a place for all who wish to be of use. In exchange for their services, associates are rewarded generously with gil and protection. Those who demonstrate leadership and dedication are rewarded among the courtier rank, and while burdened with responsibility over their underlings, are given funding for the development of their independent ventures. One thing is certain: those under the blackened wing of the court are family. About Us Obsidian Court was founded in 2017 and has since grown to a small but close community of long-term characters. We aim to remain fairly small so that each character can develop meaningful relationships with others. We are RP-heavy, US based, and embrace a plausible realism approach to the lore. Our focus is on developing characters and all their storylines through regular RP, and events stem from that RP as they develop. Our members are adults, most of whom are employed full-time. Because of this, our FC is more active in the evening. Due to the nature of our community and storylines, we ask for applicants and their characters to both be over 20 years of age. We are currently in the process of a relaunch after a hiatus. While we aim to remain small, we seek to expand with fixtures to our little community who similarly enjoy roleplaying questionable or dark characters. We aim to be a curated community, and evaluate applicants based on the following criteria: What We Look For Command of English - To keep our RP as immersive as we can, we aim to have high levels of literacy among our members. The standard we apply in evaluating applications is that spelling and grammatical errors appear incidental, and not an ordinary part of an applicant’s communication. We additionally consider the complexity of the writing. Character Complexity - Not all characters need fit into the same mold, but we favor characters who appear multidimensional, developed, and balanced. We believe that weaknesses are as instrumental as strengths in creating interesting characters. Maturity - It is integral to our functioning as an FC that members display high levels of maturity OOC and conduct themselves in a way that neither creates nor contributes to strife among players. Activity - While we do not require a constant commitment, we aim to remain an active community and look for members who are willing to RP regularly. As such, we may be more apprehensive toward alt characters at this time. Initiative - We love when characters engage with the stories and understand that their actions will influence the flow of them. This extends to demonstrating reciprocation in RP, and effectively providing content to respond to. We also love to see players creating RP opportunities, be it from creating an event or something so simple as announcing that they are available for RP and stating where they can be found. Joining the Court If an applicant appears to fit what we are looking for, we invite them to test our FC out for mutual compatibility through a short RP. While we are happy to assist to some extent in developing hooks, we feel that allowing for the applicant to create their own hook is a useful creative exercise and allows for a more natural meeting tailored to their character, as well as demonstrating a potential applicant’s innovativeness. We like to see during the initial meeting phase that a member is capable of convincing the court that they have potential. We heavily favor characters who can demonstrate their unique skills more than merely speak of them. Typically approaching the court outright and asking for work is insufficient. We place a high value on creativity, and are willing to help develop a potential recruit’s approach, but largely limit that assistance to having the applicant’s ideas feasibly fit into our ongoing storylines. We love to see the extent of the interest the character has taken in the court through tangible action, regardless of whether that action benefits or harms the court. After the initial meeting, if there seems to be good compatibility, we invite the applicant to enter the trial rank of the FC, which is designed to last long enough for us to get a sense for the character and their player before deciding to move forward with their membership. While we are selective in our membership, we don't want to discourage anyone from applying because of this, so please don't hesitate to apply or reach out if you have any questions! More detailed information and our application can be found on our website (obsidiancourt.com). Any questions may be directed to either Dovienya Cuenn (Dovienya#0666) or Livia Crane (Livia#7728) in-game or over Discord.

Hello, I’m a returning player to the game, returned for stormblood mostly but also rp. However, I’m still new to the rp side of things. Used to have a friend core group, but it seems they’ve all either jumped to other servers or quit altogether, so looking for new cool people to hang with along with people to rp with. My character is M’isha Bearclaw. He was brought over to Uldah as a refugee at a young age. Have more on his past, but I’ll save that for his wiki page once I get off my butt and actually work on it. Character wise he’s a bit shady. He’s a career con man, but likes to tell people he’s a “traveling salesman”. What most people don't know is the goods he sells are either stolen or really shoddy quality, but made to look nice(think like bootlegs).Outside of that I imagine him coming up with stupidly convoluted schemes to get gil, just to drink or gamble it all away later. Push comes to shove and he really needs gil he’s not above pick-pocketing or straight up mugging people. I think he’d fit in well with a criminal fc of some kind, I could see him getting into more serious crimes if motivated by coin. Personality wise he’s very outgoing and comes across as very friendly , with his true feelings or intent hidden. He plays things close to the vest. However, the kind visage drops when he feels threatened or angry, in fact he can be a bit of a hothead at times and lose his cool. I’m looking for an fc for him primarily. Also looking for acquaintances, friends, enemies, really anything for him because right now I got nothing. Also a bit unrelated looking for friends in general for pve content, though I’m still catching up with stormblood so can’t do anything endgame just yet. I tend to be on evenings eastern time zone on weekdays and as much as I can on Saturday or Saturday.
