untilAs sure as the sun sets, it wasn't long before strange dreams began to replague the Teahouse. A twisting tangent of extremes - from good to bad, bliss to nightmare. As occasionally sensations dulled or overstimulated. Foods too flavourful or bland. Liquids singing hot or stone cold. And not just for Teas - now even a few customers were beginning to complain about the dreams. More and more often rumours of the Teahouse's haunting were spreading. And this time... a common theme: all the dreams seemed to take place around water. Drowning in ocean beds, or looming before the shore of a mist covered sea. Even in dreams where it seemed it had no right to be the water flooded through, sometimes calm... and sometimes violent. Perhaps it was getting to a point where something must be done. On Monday, May 23rd starting at 6:30 PM EDT, Samara Summerall is hosting a continuation of her last two events, but all are welcome if they want to dive into a world of dreams for some voidy adventures centered around her character and what ideals and bargains led up to this point. Please contact her if you are interested.

untilTo the interested trackers, hunters, and mercs of Shroudrose Teahouse: The Mizuno family has been receiving some reports from Yanxia concerning the safety of our rice farmers. It seems a series of abductions of people and livestock have been happening, and we have reason to believe they are connected to an investigation we have been working on. With many leads at play that we have to chase with so little time at hand, for this time, we require aid for the successful and living capture of the culprit(s). Appropriate compensation will be supplied upon delivery of the alive culprits, along with tea and snacks. Kami guide your blade. ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ((OOC: Taking place on Wednesday, December 1st, we will begin gathering around 8:00 PM EST, then will commence around 8:30 PM EST. Party of 4-6 people. Freeform combat with occasional rolls; mostly an event to interact with people and environments, setting traps and strategizing. Please contact Ahva Phaedra (Roselynshade#6072) if you are interested!))

untilIn the frosty reaches of Central Coerthas, two groups meet outside the Darkhold. The first, a band of mercenary types following a thickly-wrapped Lalafell through the snow. The second, a small squadron of Ishgardian soldiers bearing the crest of House Dzemael. Monetarists and Nobles - an obvious collusion that never led to anything helpful. The order of business: a Mhachi coffin that was uncovered deep inside the mines. A liability for house Dzemael, but a potential business opportunity for a shady Monetarist-leaning pawn shop. A price was set, a time was decided, and now a trade is being made to whisk away the ancient artifact to Gods know where. But unbeknownst to both, a third eye has locked onto the box. And the Tombtaker is ready to swoop in and steal it away - a speedy yet small airship acquired specifically for a high-paced heist! The crew of said ship would certainly be paid handsomely for the dastardly theft. Now who in Eorzea is foolish enough to join? === Calling all fans of crime! If your character likes money and thrill, and dislikes pesky monetarists and nobles, then Samara has a job for you. Throw on your stealing mask, and make your way to the Teahouse on Monday, November 22nd at 7:00 PM EST, hosted by Samara Summerhall.

untilIN AN UNKNOWN LAB... Two men stood next to the autopsy table, their eyes exchanging glances between the corpse and the written reports. "Fatality rate?" asked Leo in a casual tone, shuffling through the papers as he read them. "Exceeding expectations, Ser..." replied the man in the white coat, pulling the blanket over the corpse before taking off his surgical gloves. "And the effects on those who aren't the... main audience for this 'medication?'" Leo's eyes peeked over the papers, staring at the alchemist, a devious grin on his face. "Not... pleasant..." The alchemist shrugged. "But considering what it is meant to do, the survival rates of the other group is good enough indication that any spillovers or unintentional contamination can be contained as long we follow proper lockdown protocols." "Good!" Leo smiled, placing down the papers before picking up his mug, taking sip of his milk. "Prepare the first dosages. We'll start the trial for real. Depending on how it works outside of our tests, we will consider... mass production. Carry on!" The alchemist watched the spook leave with a shrug, taking back the report papers and straightening them up before turning over to the corpse. "Oops..." he sighed, realizing he hadn't fully covered the body. The corpse was a mess, its veins pushed against the skin, blood seeping through the crevices of the body; from the eyes, the nostrils, to the ears. "You at least deserve some privacy..." The alchemist winked, slowly pulling the blanket over the entire body fully this time. For a moment, he appreciated his work, smirking at the rotten third eye of the Garlean as the blanket descended over it... AT SHROUDROSE TEAHOUSE Mail arrives, directed to everyone... Apparently, it's from... Khan? Taking into consideration Khan's request, someone heats it up... Slowly but surely, a white ink starts to form over the wet splotch. The first prologue event of our next storyline will take place on Thursday, July 22nd at 8:00 PM EDT starting at the teahouse, hosted by Khuron Khan!

untilSOMEWHERE IN GYR ABANIA... "Ugh, Gods! It's a fucking massacre!" the Ala Mhigan Officer cried out before holding a rag to his nose to cope with the stench of the rotten corpses before him. He swept the area darkened by the night with his gaze as his comrades flanked him from both sides. They, too, complained of the stench. Although it was hard to see, they couldn't help but notice the amount of fallen figures and blood splatters everywhere. "Lantern, lantern!" the Officer barked. Upon command, the soldier to his left lifted up his lantern to brighten the area--an action he'd soon regret, as their complaints stopped the moment the lantern's flickering fire showed the true scene in front of him: Dozens of dead Ananta, the snakewomen of Gyr Abania known for their fighting prowess, had their corpses decorating the entire area with no survivors in sight. Many of them had arrows pinned against their flesh, gashes and cuts aplenty from blades from an unknown enemy. Even the oliphants were given no refuge as they lied limp on their sides, showing no sign of life. But what made the Ala Mhigans vomit was the way they were displayed... Every single of the Ananta hung upside down from nearby edges of the mountain walls and trees, coils made out of vines wrapped around their lower end with hands ever reaching for the ground. Some of them had their tails chopped off, some had their heads taken. Tusks of the proud eoliphants were cut down, as well. "...Who the hell would do this?" one of the Ala Mhigan soldiers cried out, clearly horrified at the sight. Not even the Imperials could match this sort of cruelty. "We got to call this in, Sir...." .... "Sir?" The Ala Mhigan soldier turned about, his eyes widening as both his fellow private and officer suddenly disappeared, the only trace of their existence being their dropped weapons. Shaking, he drew his weapon. The sword unsheathed as he pointed at the darkness in fear. "Th-This isn't funny! Agnar!? M'nama!?" the Ala Mhigan slowly retreated, pointing his sword at his front as he backpedaled. This wasn't funny, certainly wasn't an experience he wanted. The Ala Mhigan begged Rhalgr for strength, pleading this to be a cruel joke pulled by his comrades. Suddenly, a loud clang interrupts his thoughts. The Ala Mhigan swung his sword, pointing his blade at the source. An Ananta corpse stared back at him, the dead eyes of the snakewoman locked onto his. He let out a sigh of relief... then he froze... Another set of eyes blinked behind the Ananta's eyes. The "corpse" slowly rose up, revealing that the dead Ananta's face was worn by another that clearly had two legs. With a terrified scream, the Ala Mhigan turned around to flee, but met another dead end. Men wearing the faces of of Sahagin, Lupin, and Hrothgar stared back at him. As they closed in on the boxed-in prey, the once quiet night echoed the man's dying words, his pleads for assistance unheard by his comrades far away. The one who wore the Hrothgar's face turned West, the direction of his next prey. With a raise of his right hand, the hunters came out of the shadows, walking toward Gridania. These were just practice. The real hunt would begin against their fellow Dalmascan native: Silf Silverwood. Join for Silf Silverwood's Spotlight event on Thursday, January 7th at 8:00 PM EST on the Balmung server, hosted by Khuron Khan!

untilSOMEWHERE IN ALDENARD... "Tribunus, it is done..." Caelus spoke, approaching the Tribunus who watched the replay of the meeting; from Caelus' recorded POV of the tense meeting. "Good, everything is going according to plan. The more they know, the better. Let our threat stew in their minds. Some will scoff, some will squirm- matters not, all that matters is they know everyone is a target," the Tribunus responded. "Tribunus, are you sure this is wise? With the war going on, we cannot divert our resources for a petty vendetta of-" "This is not a petty vendetta," the Tribunus interrupted, turning his gaze toward Caelus. "They've interrupted our operations and they will do so again. Furthermore, this is the Blue Viper's bastard, who happens to be harboring traitors...." Caelus nodded, going silent. "But worry not. We do not need to march our armies in there. The Eorzean's worst enemies are fellow Eorzeans... They'll act against their own, as long they are paid enough. Worthless, unloyal dogs." The Tribunus walked up to one of the photos. "This one was called Kaia Moonglow, was it not?" the Tribunus asked. "Yes, Tribunus..." "Ah, a monk, is she? Ah, even her family! Hmm.... We'll start with her, first. Call up the Corpse Brigade. Pay them to do what they do best: killing monks." "At once, Tribunus!" On Wednesday, December 16th at 8:00 PM EST, Khuron Khan will be kicking off his spotlight styled events with the Teahouse associates, starting with Kaia Moonglow!

untilINSIDE SHROUDROSE TEAHOUSE... Yet another parchment that stinks of booze and sea salt is pinned to the walls of the teahouse: "THERE ARE REPORTS OF PEOPLE FROM VARIOUS PARTS OF EORZEA GOING MISSING, FROM LOMINISANS TO ALA MIGHANS, TO FARMERS TO SELLSWORDS- BUT ONE THING THEY ALL SHARE IS THAT THEY'RE ALL CONSIDERED BOTTOM OF THE SOCIAL LADDER. POOR FOLKS AND PEOPLE OF LOW STANDINGS. DUE TO RESOURCES BEING STRETCHED THIN ACROSS THE GRAND ALLIANCE & OTHER LAW ENFORCEMENT FORCES, WE'RE BEING CONTRACTED TO FIND OUT WHERE THESE FOLKS ARE DISAPPEARING OFF TO- FIND OUT WHO'S CAUSING IT IF THERE IS ANY ASSHOLE KIDNAPPING IT, THEN EITHER PUT A STOP TO IT OR HAND THE INFO OVER TO THE AUTHORITIES. NEED GOOD LADS AND LASSIES TO HELP WITH THIS ONE. - KHAN." __ SOMEWHERE IN EORZEA... "Already done, Tribinus?" an Imperial clad in black asked as he approached his superior. He looked down below after reaching the Tribunus' side, gazing at the slain 'games' below- these last ones put up a fight, but it still wasn't enough to entertain the Tribinus. "Hmmm~ Still no fun! Mayhap need to change things up. Bring in the next sets of quarries, but hm- double the finder's fees for more... exciting games," the Tribinus replied, glancing at at his underling before turning his gaze back to his kills. "At once, Tribinus Lucian!" With an Imperial salute, the soldier scampered off to fulfill his Tribinus' will- the golden masked Tribinus stared out onto the dark raining horizons in thought. He remembered the infiltrators that tore up his Castrum- the ones who dared to try kill him with his own machines. The happy go-lucky girl. The fierce Viera. The drunken Highlander. The audacious not-traitor. The crazed kidnapper. The grumpy Miqo'te. He found them charming. He found them... entertaining. "I wonder how much of a fight they would put up?" Join for a missing persons investigation on Wednesday, November 18th at 8:00 PM EST. Please contact Khuron Khan if you're interested in participating!
