Ready Player One by Ernest Cline. It was okay, kinda heavy on the wish fulfillment for nerd boys. I loved the references and I felt it was fun to read a video game/VR story where it seemed like an actual game and didn't substitute generic fictional equivalents for real world pop culture and games. (A similar appeal to Snow Crash) The last bit of it was rushed and I felt some characters were underdeveloped. Supposedly a movie is being made of it.

I just finished reading the Eon and Eona series by Allison Goodman http://www.alisongoodman.com.au/darkdaysclub.com/eon-and-eona/ - About a group of Boys/Men chosen by Elemental Dragons that are basically the care takers of the world, and this girl Eona pretends to be a boy so she can take the trial to see if she's chosen by the Dragon who's power is currently up for the year. Good story so I won't spoil the rest.

Also last week I finished a real good gamer book called "Ready Player One" by Ernest Cline https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ready_Player_One alot of 80's pop culture that any nerd would love.

Not necessarily the full thing, just yet. Being a compilation of stories...Does one of them count?

The last story I read in it was The Hound, which is famously the first story of Lovecraft's to mention the "Necronomicon". It was inspired by a visit Lovecraft made to the Flatbush Reformed Church in Brooklyn.

I'm currently halfway through Memory of Light, the last book in the Wheel of Time series. I've been mainlining the whole series at work since about July and it's been wonderful.

Prior to that, I reread Rainbow Six. Prior to THAT, I read a fantastic book called Superposition, which deals with quantum entanglement and string theory, kind of. It's sort of a horror book, but it's really neat.

The last book I read was 'The Arsenal of Democracy' which was about the American rearmament effort during WWII and the3 Ford company in particular. It was really good!

The last book I listened to (on audible) was the 'Bands of Mourning' which is one of the Mistborn sequels. It was also really good.
