I have to second Alothia here. If the rp or person behind the character causes you anxiety on an ooc level I think it's more than justified to cut ties in any way you see fit. It's simply not worth it. In my case I'm a horrendous coward and tend to just run away and hide until things blow over but I wouldn't hesitate to cut somebody out of my rp no matter what the ic relationship might be if it was affecting my state of mind. I've tried to roll with it too many times in the past, and it's just not worth the stress.

I get little to none of it, and it is the thing that most gets me down and dispirited I guess. I hoped that tavern roleplay would be a springboard to something more than more tavern roleplay but it doesn't seem to work that way for me yet. What I've always hoped for is a balance of adventure/action and social roleplay because things seem to stagnate for me when I only get one of the two kinds.

So, after limited success trying to bother people into interacting with Nhia in the Quicksand, I've decided to try to find some contacts for me/her here. Nhia is a rather sheltered Miqo'te who will pretty much interact with anybody. She tends to take people on trust so I'm open to contact with characters anywhere on the moral spectrum really. She is eager to make friends and/or be helpful in some context though she is slightly wary of males, having had little in the way of contact with them growing up in the Shroud. I'm most interested in exploring the culture-shock of a traditional Keeper being transposed to Ul'dah and the people to be found there but really any contact would be appreciated here. Ideally as a steppingstone to plots and something beyond tavern chat in time. I'll just point out that I'm a EU player so my times might be a little odd for some but I am lovely, really. Honest!

Nhia reads trashy romance novels that she hides in the cover of a more literary book. She also used to try to stretch herself taller by hanging upside down from trees but she's pretty much grown out of that now. Pretty much.

Given my most frequent state seems to be 'going afk in a few minutes' I'll happily get involved in brief rp encounters. Nhia is mostly to be found in and around Ul'dah so bumping into your Lalafell should be easy enough.

My girl likes to try to befriend (read pester) random strangers on the street/sitting down/wherever she might find them really, though she's a fellow miqo'te. So if you don't mind the contact potentially being more annoying than anything else, I'll happily hit you up for rp. If not, good look in your search!

If I'm not actually ic at any point, a quick prod is all it will take to change that. Views on RP combat and injuries: Open to this so long as it makes sense. I'm not a huge fan of long drawn out combat scenes and Nhia will tend to heroically flee at the first sign of trouble. Injury-wise again I err on the side of realism, even with magical healing and all I assume there will normally be some element of recuperation after serious injuries. Views on IC romance: Love it. The more awkward the better. That being said, Nhia is technically taken so it would be unlikely to progress beyond vaguely angst-ridden longing on her part. Views on non-romantic RP (family ties, etc): Yes please! Nhia is from the Shroud albeit a relatively small clan but if anybody would like to be part of her past, the more the merrier. Views on lore: I try to stick to the lore as much as possible but use it as a framework to rp around rather than something that must be conformed to in the most minute of detail. Views on chat functions (/say, /linkshell, etc): /say is ic at all times. Every other chat function is dependent on what I am doing and with whom.
