  1. Sorry, I shiuld have been more clear: me not being punted into the moon by said moon punter is not godmodding. Ill take the hit. But not fly away that far.
  2. 1. I can and have judged people on the quality of there writing. Not in instances where english isnt their first language and they are trying their best, but rather where no way you look at it can what was written be a legible sentence. Imagine how is touch the sky comes to mind. 2. I have high expectations of people I rp with. I have invested my time and energy into making a character that works within the setting, and researching how magic etc works, so when I see someone tear that apart I tend to get frustrated and walk away. 3. I have an incredibly bad time keeping in touch with people. Unless I am around them a lot of he time such as in the fc. Given this I want to apologise with people I have either promised rp to and fallen through or stopped getting in touch with. I havent forgotten you, I just have issues with time management.
  3. I imagine with a statement like that the blades rpers will be watching you like an easily bribed hawk . Good luck
  4. Yeah, I thought that was pretty clear, but it's been obfuscated by a lot of confused posting missing the point about what they thing godmoding is. The idea is to not enforce arbitrary limits on another character without their say. Which isnt godmodding unless it is directly affecting your character. Me not taking a hit from a moon punter isnt godmodding, though it puta a limit on that character. Otherwise you are godmodding in nearly every interaction as your (non sepcofic your) view of the limits most likely varies from other peoples.
  5. As some of you know, Nako doesn't do sexy. I mean, here he is at Camp Bronze Lake. As you can see, not very sexy, but he will give it a try... a little bit of skin just cause he knows how you lot love it. Oh, wait, he's getting rather into it now. And that's all you're getting. Where did this come from!!! Turns out the old man has more life in him yet!
  6. I personally disagree with the quote in question. You can't enforce suspension of disbelief. And not agreeing with someone elses intepretation of the lore and setting is an expected part of rp, especially in an mmo where so much is left unexplained. As to the fight, I tend to just go with my routine style and allow the oponent to describe what happens as the result. For example: The only thing I have done which is a direct interaction is complete the action of the oponents attack, which is an expected part of fight rp. No god modding involved, and the oponent can apply their own physics to their next emote. Interpretation of setting and the application thereof is not the same as forcing your will upon anothers character.
  7. I have Memevachi come from 'A little village down the coast' of Thanalan
  8. I'm working on it with an alt, as I forgot to take notes the first time around, unfortunately I have aversiosn to it as so much to do on my main, but it is coming!
  9. silly Kurt, not talking to one of the people that cares about his wellbeing and potential before breaking point was reached
  10. There is no 'other' option Nako has training in both magic, sword play and unarmed combat.
  11. As some of the Red Wings found out, Magical Feedback tends to send Nako a bit on the Crazy side.
  12. Generally if you say one bad thing about Ul'dah around here you're lucky if it doesn't end in "shut your whore mouth." I'm kinda tired of that. Shut your whore mouth! /jk in all seriousness, I like the sights, I like the feel, and I like the setting for Ul'dah, which is why I made it my home. no regrets!
  13. I'ver never heard of Lance's being used by infantry, outside of fantasy novels/rpgs that is. To my knowledge it was the purview of the cavalry only. If people wanted to present a wall of slow moving long weapons then it would typically be a long spear, or a pike.
  14. I do use the current events of the MSQ in my RP, for instance, the events of 2.55 have happened, and they will be refered to, most likely by the majority of players. I tend to give it a little bit of a grace period before I do however, to allow those slower than myself to catch up. The reason being is that the MSQ, even if the events themselves don't directly happen to your character can have knock on effects that would affect them. For instance, 2.55 and anyone that RP's around Ul'dah. It also provides more information about the lore of the world we play in, for instance the cutscene about the Ascians and the Void provided us with more lore regarding how Aether moves.
  15. There's at least one conjurer that ascribes to the former considering BLM 50-60. not done the quests whats the gist?
  16. Only one question, is Muad'dib a killing word?
  17. There's at least one conjurer that ascribes to the former considering BLM 50-60. not done the quests whats the gist?
  18. If they ascribed the 'White Magic' good, 'Black Magic' bad approach, sure, but if they then went 'White Magic' succor, 'Black Magic' Draining the land, not really, due to the proscribed nature of the knowledge.
  19. what's the difference? currently our working knowledge is that a Primal exists within the aether and is coalesced when summoned. What if this is how other primals start?
  20. You might want to go and pay some closer attention to certain things that happen in the MSQ with regards to the Dragons, and specifically a revelation about the origins of a particular Elder Primal.
  21. Mch soulcrystal is likely a focus similsr to the crystals used for cnj and thm. Black mage one is probably similar.
  22. Nako has had sword training for an hour a day since he was about 15, so 22 years on, I would say he's quite well versed in its use. (he increased that amount when he had his aether restricted. He tends more to the wear them down method of fighting. Use the shield and sword to deflect and create an opening, take a couple of hits on the armour and strike at them. He is a bit too wary. He does however line his sword with a form of pitch, so that he can set it on fire. Cause firesword. His aether is reasonably restricted when he's in armour, due to not having a focus, so it tends to be relegated to short distance or touch magic, such as setting his sword on fire, or using the burning pitch that sticks to his opponent to litterally burn through their defences or turn them into a walking conflagration. Outside of armour it tends to be a little more free roam. Given his status as an aetheric scholar, I tend not to use specific ability names, and have made up several little spells that work well in the grey area of the lore (Astral Projection for one, Void chains for the another, summoning a gribbly cthonic monster for a third.) but typically it's stuff like using air to push people back or immobilise them off the ground, using earth to form rock spikes piercing their feet, that kinda stuff. Or making a pulse of pure aether flow through someone in such a way that it liquidises their insides. he has a small ammount of unarmed training, but it's your typical army/police self defence. Closer to Krav Maga than Wushu.
  23. As said, it can lend context, imply what a facial expression would be like etc.
  24. I just want to know if the Illuminati were tempered by him....
  25. With Nako, the aitches in the first name are not present in the spelling, though they are for the surname. its pronounced Nah-Koh-lee, rather than Na-Koh-Lee.
