1. If it came down to it, I have no idea what Andre(Paladin) would refer to himself as. Instead of using a term he might simply say he favours a sword and shield I guess. Lulani(Paladin) might say he is training hard to become a knight suitable of forever serving as Nonopi's bodyguard(silly, lalafel RP). K'nahli(Bard) has it easy, she'd just call herself an archer if she really needed to use the term. Alex(Warrior) would probably be similar to Andre and just refer to the weapon he uses rather than a term, but I imagine he might use the term "warrior" itself either, but not in the sense of it being a job; just the literal sense.
2. I would love a co-op option same as how I would love to see it in games like Skyrim and Fallout but I'm afraid that I must agree that it doesn't seem realistically feasible without at least one character getting seriously shunted on the impact of whatever they can actually choose to say. It would become incredibly complicated if they tried to replicate the same freedoms(or close) for both characters. Having said that, I would happily put up with this just so that I could play alongside my friend and explore the worlds/stories/characters together, but for a game like Dragon Age.... the first play through would only be spoiled significantly if I had so little influence and you only ever get one, first play through. It's trading one blessing for another, really ;
3. Well, we certainly learned something new about you today, Liro ~
4. A lot of people have the wrong idea about them in general so if you even show hints of promiscuity then you're going to get slapped by the judgemental hand of Lord Stereotype. I find this a good question. For example -- up until recent developments I played Berrod as a very sexually charged character. He sometimes went out of his way to display his attractiveness, down to the sort of clothes he wore. He had zero problem calling lewdly to women in public, and would often strut about with a blatant "You definitely wanna fuck me" attitude. Yet -- he never got the reputation of being a gutterslut. Was it because Highlanders don't have the same sort of societal construct as Miqo'te? I could never figure it out. I would honestly imagine so. As much as I hate to admit, miqo'te have a bad stigma about them when it comes to things like that and that's why I always find myself trying to have people look at it from a perspective that isn't so shallowly portrayed by those who wanted to settle for the first thing that came to most peoples' minds when they first heard the lore.
5. Haha, maybe I should give people more credit then. When I see miqo'te do it I can't help but think they mean a genuine purring noise and for me it's just like... "N-No... don't do that!"

7. I emote things like that when they seem relevant, like K'nahli's ears pinning down closer to her head when she is uncomfortable or unhappy like how you see in many animals, but I admit that I don't give these things a whole lot of thought. If it feels worth mentioning then okay, I'll go for it, otherwise it may just be an excessive detail. In the case of the ear example then it's obvious body language that can convey a message to those around her, so it serves a purpose. I neglect to remember the heightened sense of smell at times and as for a tail and balance? Well, that's something that I imagine one would take for granted and not notice(as a miqo'te) so unless you're that person who RP'd turning from a miqo'te into something else then I don't see the point in mentioning it. (Also I cannot take anyone who "purrs" as a miqo'te seriously. Someone did that recently in the Quicksand and I looked around for them hoping that it was just a manner of speaking and not an actual purr, nor a miqo'te using a pun of sorts, haha.... and it wasn't!)
8. That requires nuance and reading, though. We're discussing the lowest-denominator groups who saw tails, ears and alpha male positioning and stopped reading. Good roleplayers will play good characters. I'm challenging the idea that not emoting your tail or being overtly-miqoish in emotes removes you from the "good roleplayer" side of things. I do not think SE did themselves any favors incorporating such a taboo concept, though. It's going to draw folks who are only in it for the ass, and has. Ahhh, I see. I apologise for the misunderstanding.
9. To take a guess: SE handed players lore that outright said "These guys in specific get ALL the tail they want, and yes, you can play as one." They made Sex God a playable race. But that's such a modern societal view of it. I wonder how many tias actually see that side of it as opposed to treating it as a position of respect and honour. It defines them as the most capable hunter in the tribe and one whom bears the responsibility of siring the next generation. All I ever see are people scrutinizing it and writing it off as though it were just like: "lol im nuhn now. all de girlz are mien." Plus they don't really get any girl they want when they want. They obvious have to establish relationships with some of the girls that support him and not just treat them as pregnancy machine, haha. I don't know, but I think that any miqo'te that calls the setup a harem probably wants it to be a harem if that's the only way they can see it. This is almost like.... genuinely my canon perception of how lalafel come to be, hahahahaha ;;
10. A thin strip of light illuminated part of the girl's face as she subtly parted the tent flaps. It seemed that everyone else had made it back in one piece at last. She almost could have sighed. In a cruel way, the girl had, in part, hoped that someone else would have sustained wounds of their own so that she might justify 'her' injury more easily. Though from what she could tell, that was not the case. A sudden, shooting pain caused the girl to quickly wince and moan softly in discomfort. Her gaze shifted away from the world outside to observe as a tender hand reached down to try and soothe the discomfort - for the little it would help. After a moment, her eyes were then guided away from her wound and back out through the slit in the tent as the laughter and excitement that followed the returning huntresses continued to feed the growing atmosphere about the camp. K'nahli clutched a weak fist over her chest as her heart was felt to drum to an irregular rhythm. She didn't doubt her father's ability to succeed over anyone, especially the likes of K'ile - but that was not enough to stow her lingering sense of anxiety for the coming challenge ahead. In the end, she didn't create the chance to go and speak to the tia as she should have; though each time she would scold herself with that thought she would only once again, remind herself that having him show up now on his own terms, for whatever reason, would be just as unfavourable. Simply standing there by the entrance had become painful once more, though she favoured it above simply resting on her bed as she had already vainly attempted until now.
11. I took some screens of my male characters with the new hairs mostly for fun but also to try and imagine them back when they were a few years younger albeit it didn't yield the results I was hoping for exactly. A hairstyle alone seldom managed to accomplish that, haha. I did, however, also try the new style on K'nahli and was surprised how cute I found it for a more tomboyish look. Again, it's something that'd have been more fitting for her younger self if anything but at her age, those few years would have made her look significantly younger so it's really difficult to imagine *laughs* Still, it was fun. I'll tryyyy to avoid using it for any random dungeon whenever I can try the new content.
12. Ditto on that, it looks so nice (*-*)
13. This was mentioned numerous times in previous topics. I was curious myself, but only really thought of how it could be worked now and was surprised how easily the plausible answer came to me. I don't think much was said by Yugiri on the grounds of why she concealed herself. I imagine it could easily be avoided by changing a couple of dialogue pieces and changing her fully-concealed model to her normal look for when she first appears for new characters(be they Au Ra or not) once the race itself is released, in addition to having no emphasis on the Au Ra being new or anything in the beginning other than perhaps some little tidbit along the lines of: "Haven't seen much of the likes of you around". Easiest method I can think of.
14. This is oddly..... I find her..... Yes. Hahaha, she's so cute... and please don't hate those of us whom sometimes succumb to weakness and show affection to random lalas.... please! (It is also an unwritten, Lalafel law to express joy and excitement when encountering fellow lalas. Random, bonding exchanges must always occur where possible!)
15. Alex Hawthorn Random screen that I took a while ago.
16. You'll need to get Gladiator to 15 to unlock Warrior anyways, but the sooner you get is to 22 the easier it'll be for you as a Warrior during your learning curve. Level 22 Gladiator unlocks an absolutely mandatory, cross-class tanking skill that you'll ideally want for level 50 tanking.
17. While I play and love Paladin as a class, I voted for Warrior simply because it is more complex and versatile in my opinion while NOT forcing you to adhere to it's slightly more, difficult playstyle. That is to say, you can play a Warrior just as you would a Paladin if you really wanted. It's not advisable but if you like the class and are adverse to a lot of extras that can seem confusing at first then you can sure as hell do it. I won't speak for coil though, I'm sure you need to step up and try more when it comes to that, haha.. **zero experience past T4 - - - zero experience as tank at all**
18. Warriors are nice for the extra damage on the side but they take a lot more work if you want to play them to near-maximum potential whereas with Paladins you can pretty much take things lazily and not worry so much about aggro when it comes to end game. Combos: When it comes to Paladins, they have a three-skill-combo that is all that you will be doing for most fights along with a couple of skills that are off global cooldown. Outside of that combo you will only be popping buffs of some sort. A secondary, two-skill combo exists but is used primarily for large mob pulls as it regenerates MP needed for your AoE, enmity-generating skill; Flash. Warriors have two, three-skill-combos combos that, unless you are choosing to be lazy, you will be using in most fights. One being the enmity generating combo and the the other being a damage boosting(for both you and melee DPS) OR damage mitigating combo, depending on the final, third skill you attach to it. They have two skills off global cooldown like Paladin, but one's potential use is subjective to the boss/mobs you are engaging(see: Stuns) and another that can only be used when less than 20% health is remaining on your target. Stuns: When it comes to stuns, both have advantages and disadvantages. Paladins have a stun that is on global cooldown and therefore only has to wait little over two seconds before it can be reused, unlike Warriors who have a 30 second cooldown. In general, Warriors have it easier since its boss stuns that you will really want to have the advantage with and they can use their stun exactly when they need it. Paladins however need to wait for the stun to come off cooldown if they have just used another skill, and that can be scary for some fast-casting skills by the enemy. Having said that, Paladins have a silence(off GCD) and Warriors do not. Noteworthy Skills: Aside from typical mitigation skills, Paladins have two nice skills called Cover and Hallowed Ground. Cover allows you to take all physical damage directed toward a particular party member for ten seconds(so long as they stay within relatively, close range) and is one of those skills I love getting the chance to use since who doesn't like being helpful? Hallowed Ground is a 10 second invulnerability skill(with a massive cooldown) that basically gives you a temporary godmode that is very handy for those rare instances where your healer fails and its down to you/(and your DPS) to finish off the remainder of the fight or incur a reset. It's also a safety net for mistakes made by your party that may imminently risk your death and also a way to take a load off of the healer during significantly, large mob pulls. Warrior has a sort of similar skill to Hallowed Ground with the exception that you only get six seconds worth of it and your health will continue to decrease(just not past 1 hp). Summary: So put it simply, Paladins are great for tanking but Warriors have a great potential to, simultaneously, significantly increase the DPS output and, if you put some time into learning and understanding the class better, you can do some serious self-healing and work your way out of dangerous situations that a Paladin could not without the aid of a healer.
19. K'nahli allowed a gentle though somehow clumsy smile to force it's way on to her lips. Work ethic? In truth she didn't know how she could wish for a day free of duties. Aside from the guilt of forcing her own tasks upon her siblings for her own bumblings, she'd only quickly find herself growing bored from the lack of activity. After all, it wasn't as though she could live out a day of leisure to her heart's content in this state either. K'nahli nodded simply in response and carefully returned to her feet. Making her way to the exit of the tent, the girl paused a moment and glanced back over her shoulder. K'zhumi herself was not looking at that moment as she busied herself with clearing up her medical supplies. A natural compulsion to thank the woman and bid her goodnight wavered over K'nahli's mind, but unlike before, now that she lacked the intimacy of proximity, the girl was stung by a shy sense of reluctance. Though it was in that moment that K'zhumi, turning around now, met with K'nahli's lingering stare. The girl flinched slightly, embarrassed for having been caught but after a moment the girl offered a departing nod, accompanied be another small, returning smile before slipping through the tent flaps and out into the darkness. The chocobo that had led her home remained outside not too far away, finding interest in a small patch of grass by a cluster of rocks which it had since commenced munching on. K'nahli watched it with innocent contentment before approaching the bird. "C'mon girl, let's bring you back..." the girl whispered comfortingly as she tugged free a large, lump of grass from the ground before securing the animal by it's reins and proceeding to lead her back toward it's pen. The archer's limp persisted, but simply walking had at least proven to not be quite as painful now that she had some time to take the weight off of her legs. She watched the chocobo closely as it continued to much on the grass that remained in it's beak while she quietly led it forward through the camp, smiling with amusement as it did so. There was such a warming innocence to be found in the animals, unlike any of those native to the sands. "It must be nicer when it's fresh and green" she spoke quietly to the bird while feeding it some more of the grass she had collected in her hand, earning herself an approving and happy chirp in the process.
20. The girl hesitated a moment before reluctantly accepting the container. Relieving herself of her chores? That.... was not something that girl wanted, not in the slightest. "But.... were it that I could prepare food instead, or anything that does not require much movement..? Surely that would be acceptable..?" the girl asked anxiously, focusing her gaze on K'zhumi intently as she awaited an answer.
21. "I see..." K'nahli replied solemnly, her gaze remaining anywhere but the healer's eyes. Fidgeting on the spot slightly, the girl battled with a thought that had been wandering through her mind since bringing up her father in conversation. It was a embarrassing to just come out and say, at least for K'nahli... well, probably only for K'nahli, but at the same time it was something that in the end she somehow knew she couldn't leave without saying, despite everything else that has happened. "K'zhumi, I.... well, for my father...." the girl stumbled as she struggled to form a proper sentence. A very faint blush seemed roll across her cheeks in the short pause that followed in which she tried to compose her clumsy murmurings. "Th-Thank you for taking care of him...".
22. "Oh..." K'nahli replied simply, noting the woman's off subtleties but thinking little of them. "Then... he is alright?" she followed up in an effort to say at least a little more, though also as part of her genuine concern.
23. K'nahli watched in silence as K'zhumi got to work with cleaning and tending to her wounds. It was like that for a while, with only K'zhumi's occasional narration of what she was doing, presumably in an attempt to educate and calm the girl, intermittently breaking the silence. The cuts themselves did not come without their own discomfort, especially so when they were applied with disinfectants and the like, but on their own they weren't bothersome enough to make the girl so much as flinch. She was no stranger to injury in her youthful days and since then she had proven herself to be rather resilient to it's effects. Had K'zhumi much of a memory when it came to each of her patients' visits then at least she might have recognised that K'nahli's obvious difficulty with her wounded hip was far beyond that of mere exaggeration. Before K'nahli had realised it, K'zhumi had already returned to tending the hidden cut across her forehead, noting that there was far less room for evading eye contact now that the healer had naturally moved much closer to her. She blinked a couple of times idly as her eyes silently sought a non-existant refuge anywhere about her. Perhaps... she should try to make a little conversation, she thought. She didn't want to refute the woman's kindness after all. Hardly a moment had passed by since that thought when something had caught the girl's attention. "....?" Now that the pair had been forced into rather close proximity, K'nahli noticed a familiar scent emanating from the healer. Though it did all but make her flinch with hesitation, the girl sought to make use of it. It wasn't as though she had anything else to really talk about. Small talk was not exactly her strong point, after all. "Were you checking up on my father just now? I had assumed that he was back to full health... more or less..." she inquired naively with a forced, neutral tone - choosing to ask as she moved to avoid direct eye contact once again.
24. K'nahli clenched her teeth tightly together as K'zhumi proceeded to inspect the injury. Every slight touch offered by the healer managed to send a stinging pain deep into her flesh and begged for the girl to cry out to allow it's release... though luckily, this time she managed to keep her cries to herself. "I can manage. If you feel you must tend to the rest then... I humbly accept" K'nahli responded more easily this time as the woman posed her question. It wasn't that the girl felt particularly uncomfortable with the idea, but she valued her independence and ability to take care of herself as much as possible. That, and she simply wanted to return to her own world for a while, at nearest opportunity; where she could allow herself the peace of naught but her own company for some time - regrettably, the girl thought, to also take the time to gather the thoughts she would inevitably have to confront before the night would permit her to the sanctuary of her sleep.
25. K'nahli found herself growing solemn for a moment as K'zhumi continued to speak in a polite manner. She was quite nice, actually, K'zhumi. Perhaps it had been a while since she had been around her long enough to remember such a thing. It was a soothing thought to know that the woman seemed disinterested in the petty and shameful facts that had indeed weighed on K'nahli's mind since arriving home. Had she the ability to do so, then perhaps the girl might have even smiled to herself ever so softly. Nodding once, K'nahli slowly turned to unfasten the clips on either side of her subligar before then carefully proceeding to remove her tall boots. The girl flinched in silent agony as she was forced to bend her legs far up toward herself in order to to do so, and despite her best efforts, was unable to conceal a weak cry now and then in the process. Though K'zhumi was no stranger to bearing witness to both pain and weakness, the healer remained in the corner of K'nahli's vision, the girl watching closely... for even the most subtle signs of disapproval or condemnation - though luckily, the woman had proven herself far above the results of such childish paranoia. Next was the subligar itself, and, predictably, removing that was even worse. Being that the armour had been something which was secured tightly against the girl, even without the addition of the fasteners, it took some force to draw it down off of herself, but eventually she succeeded on her own without having to keep K'zhumi herself waiting. Looking upon it for the first time herself, K'nahli was almost surprised that something so painful had creates such a discreet wound. Her narrowed eyes travelled over the large bruise which had begun across her side and then focused upon the rather light damage that had been done to her skin. In a bizarre way, it was almost annoying that she didn't have something more visibly horrible to be in pain over as opposed to what appeared to be nothing. The girl sighed quietly enough to herself that even K'zhumi would not have managed to hear it. It would not be as though anyone would be seeing her hip in any case, she was thinking far too much - though perhaps that was intentional.
