I don't RP in-game and even forum/Skype RP is quite limited but I have to say that I'm interested in this just so I can add some little fluff here and there with mostly short interactions I guess, who knows? ^^ Though I am not a great fan of linkpearls in general outside of military organizations and the like so I won't personally treat it as an IC one. I guess the idea of people having a large portion of the populace on speed dial just makes me tilt my head a little bit. Still! If anyone visits the carpentry guild then I could use my lowbie character to play a background part if not a direct part on occasion. That and my hyur whom involves himself with the Adders on now and then. Also a bandit!

Hello and welcome back (^^/ Balmung is notoriously difficult to get into at the moment. Although, there is a maintenance occurring on Tuesday the 24th from 05:00 to 10:00 (GMT) and according to a number of people, the best time to create characters on servers largely locked out like Balmung are shortly before and after the servers go offline/back online. So if you're interested in getting on to Balmung in particular then this would be your best bet, if possible.

Frankly, people should understand that other people are going to have conflicting views and that it is not a personal attack on their methods in most cases. If it's difficult to not be offended then all it takes is to stop reading the shell for a while. It doesn't take a lot of restraint. Having said that, you're always... always going to have touchy people or those kinds of people whom come off as very blunt and/or opinionated and often have their words taken the wrong way. So really, it should be a compromise. If there's no way to publicly involve others whom may like to read and contribute without hurting another's feelings, then just show some consideration move the topic elsewhere. It's not ideal but at the end of the day you're upsetting someone. Suck it up the same way you wished that they had when it came to dealing with your conversation.

I think I would turn completely creeper/stalker and just spy on K'nahli through the french doors that link the kitchen to the living room. She probably would be very venomous with any attempts by these strangely-clothed, modern hyurs trying to speak to her so I don't think I would force it too much if she seemed as though she were about to take my head off. But still.... ( -////-) ;; If K'mih was with her I'd probably die. The girl would likely want to ask me a billion questions and that would only piss K'nahli off even more. (Also, more staring) -------- If Andre was here... well he's very easygoing so I think it'd be pretty okay! We'd get along pretty well I guess. Alex.... he's not very sociable so that would get incredibly awkward incredibly quickly... not that he would care. Lulani would probably be really, REALLY funny after he had a chance to calm down. I've found that K'nahli doesn't look particularly nice in anything that isn't a darker shade of blue(not unlike her hair). Purple might work too. Her current set is dark blue with some black leather and white trim. Her raincloak went through a number of changes but was also recently changed to a dark blue which is definitely my favourite so far. Her coat for cold weather is purple with white fur and some unavoidable red trim. Finally, her IC set(for the desert mostly) is a mixture of grey and brown. A little plain but darker colours are a no-no in Thanalan anyways.

Yep! Newly married this week~ Currently enjoying the privileges of dropping in on each other with ring-teleportation unannounced. I do agree that cliques and friend groups aren't inherently bad things -- I hope I haven't given that impression, because...well, obviously they're inevitable and it's bananas to tell people not to hang out with people they like on a regular basis and give them your attention. That'd be nuts~ I just think it's important not to rest into a 'got mine' state of mind and forget that other people exist outside the circle. Whatever the case, this thread has been plenty helpful and has given me a lot to think about, so I appreciate all the responses that have come from it. Ahhh, hahaha. I was eavesdropping on his RP in the Quicksand for the past while and I noticed that you had the same (first) name that he mentioned. He's still there with three other people if you are interested and you don't know already. Although, at least two of them -may- be leaving soon. They sounded as though they were wrapping up until the fourth person came along. Alothia was here too but it seems she left. I don't typically RP in-game, but even should Trenton intend on leaving soon then I could try and set something up for you if I use a random character to perhaps act rudely to you... hopefully to garner the attention(and intervention) of onlookers? (I'll try and think of a softer means too, haha ; )

It's been something I've often wondered about and while very interesting, i think I'll skip it for the sake of ease and communication. I don't want to imagine that K'nahli speaks with a particular accent and possibly struggles with Eorzean in general no more than I want her to be perfectly fluent in both languages. She spent most of her spare time training, not studying. In a way, I do hope that I see a bit of this at some point. I'm sure I could imagine that K'nahli has some knowledge of a number of terms and phrases of her old language, at least!

People occasionally make posts like these and while I don't really have much experience either way, I do empathise with it ; It must be a horrible feeling to have your attempts refuted but all I can really suggest is that you keep trying and perhaps look for connections ahead of time on the forum here and organise meetings in-game and hope that randoms might join in with your group(perhaps that's more appealing to some?) On an unrelated note, are you by chance married to Trenton Cador?

My characters would never flirt, but in the case of Andre it's fine since someone is already taking the initiative.... (Don't tell Clover I posted here. That scene never might've possibly(?) never happened!!)

Just a theory, mind you. A sound one, I think, but just a theory. It doesn't matter, it's still something to go off of instead of: "There's a certain look we want for the game, and a tank wearing healer robes goes against that image" - paraphrasing ....in spite of the fact you can glamour yourself to appear naked - complimented only by a snowman head and not break said image.

Even if it derails from the hope that they might someday wake up and stop being stupid, it bring me immense comfort to actually, FINALLY have a legitimate reason for why they have non-relic gear class locked - so thank you very much.

Put plainly, none of my characters use or manipulate aether in any way. I don't know much about it but I'm not interested in non-mages using anything of the sort, personally.

If you don't send a tell and just go for it, just keep in mind that you may be given the cold shoulder or a blunt reply ICly. It doesn't necessarily mean that people want to ignore you, but that it's in the character's nature to do so(or they are just in such a state/mood that they do so anyways).

Not interested in the game in the slightest but I guess I approve(?) I love Y'shtola. She's the most interesting MSQ character to be found(outside of city state leaders) in spite of hardly having any lines by comparison to the others.
