Apparently this uses the Lodestone to determine if a server is locked and that page updates every 4-5 hours so this would be next to useless for Balmung I imagine, unfortunately. Thank you for the link in any case, it's certainly a nice fan-feature ^^

This sounds ridiculously adorable. Before the game launched I was in love with the idea of people playing as couriers and things like that since I was just imagining RP'ing in the world and doing my won thing and then just suddenly having someone walk up to me and deliver a message out of the blue. ....not that that will probably fall into that category but it reminded me of it! Good luck with your search in any case (^^/

I don't RP in public since I am generally too nervous for that so the only thing that comes to mind are most of my character's interactions with K'rahto Tia. I don't know what it is, but I guess since I ship my character and him so much I just get stupidly excited when he does or says any small thing that I love. Haha >w< ;;;

How Does Your Character React To Physical Touch?
K'nahli replied to Dat Oni's topic in Character Workshop
This makes me very sad in the heart. K'nahli Yohko - She'd be receptive of hugs from her blood sister, K'mih and from her mother but anyone else within her tribe would almost certainly earn a far, more, apprehensive reaction. Were she travelling and encountered an outsider whom was overly affectionate and launched themselves on to her with a hug, then she'd likely become immediately uncomfortable and throw them off right away agitatedly. Unnecessary hand-grabbing would warrant a similar reaction for outsiders but a tap on the shoulder or perhaps a poke would be fine. Andre Winter - Andre is a noble boy, so while he'd be very careful about how he treats others, he'd likely humour most physical contact offered by even complete strangers and simply become embarrassed at worst while laughing it off. Alex Hawthorn - Alex can usually be rather indifferent about most things. Typical contact would be ignored but if anyone, for whatever reason, decided to hug him or anything of that nature then he'd calmly shuffle himself free or push them back away with a glide of his hand. Lulani Manani - Would probably be okay with just about anything other than affectionate contact from fellow, male strangers. Females might make him embarrassed in a much different sense and lead him to finding a way out in a polite but nervous manner. Au Ra - Would most likely, silently disapprove of any contact of a friendly nature and promptly free himself from anyone whom would, for whatever reason, grab his hand or hug him. Being that he will be a largely emotionless character, these reactions are not ones you would really describe to be done out of mere discomfort. -
Andre Winter - Manslaughter (Self-defence) Desertion (Immortal Flames) Alex Hawthorn - Lawfully slain wanted targets

While I don't mingle as much with this community as I have others in the past, it really is the homeliest one I have ever come across. It seems like everyone is very kind and well-meaning so I really, really do enjoy it here as well. I understand sentimentalities though. I've expressed it to each an every one of my closer friends at least once and I'm sure they resent me for being so shameless, hahaha ; Anyways, I hope you continue to make great memories here and elsewhere ~

Are you serious? *genuine question*

Policy change: Sales of art for gil forbidden

Re-quoting this since it seems like the most logical reason as opposed to SE being arbitrarily against such a function. -

Policy change: Sales of art for gil forbidden
K'nahli replied to FreelanceWizard's topic in FFXIV News
To be the advocatus diaboli: RMTers could claim they did not sell those gil for money, they received art for it. Pretty hard to disprove. Ahhh, I see. That was quite simple actually *amused* Thank you. -
Policy change: Sales of art for gil forbidden
K'nahli replied to FreelanceWizard's topic in FFXIV News
I don't really understand why they need to make this against the ToS. Unlike botters who use unauthorized programs to repeatedly horde and collect mass amounts of IG items, art trades are paid for by legitimate currency. Unless this falls - vaguely - under some other direction and then can't find a way/don't want to rewrite it to allow art, then it makes zero sense to me as to why they can suddenly tell me how (not) to spend my gil - so long as it does not endorse activities such as those associated with RMTers. -
I wasn't hungry when I clicked this thread but now I am annoyed... *storms into the kitchen*

As someone who also has trouble saying no to people, I'd just like to repeat this message again. Unfortunately, she is already under pressure from accepting more requests than she had already intended to if I understood correctly ^^ ; Edit: She is so pretty, Aya @A@ Luckkky ~

I don't know... even if it were a situation where the tribe was smaller and considered one, big family then I have my doubts that the elders would see it as a wise course of action. I believe that they'd discourage it/forbid it... depending on how harsh you want to word it. If you are looking for an excuse however, then you could imagine that the elders were more lenient(at least at the time) and that perhaps the mother insisted that she would do everything in her power to increase the amount of food brought in to the tribe or divide her own share among her child should it prove to be weak and a waste of precious resources. On the note of nunhs and who they mate with(even though it wasn't part of your question), our tribe treats those exchanges as something that must be agreed upon mutually. Basically, if it comes time that the elders decide a female or more should bear offspring, then a nunh may be asked to find a mate but no-one would actually be specified, he does have his own free will too, of course. On a related note, females can't just decide to have kids either... not without the elders consent at least(or so I believe). Doing so takes them out of the hunting scene for quite some time and it may not even be seen as a priority to bring in more people. Having said that, in cases of emergencies where the populations is at risk then I'm sure he and perhaps any capable female(who didn't like him in particular but wanted kids) would be told to suck it up and just get it over with.

*hopes SUPER HARD that one of those options will be couple pieces* Me too! >w< And....- Wait... I got on to the Waitlist? @A@ I had no idea, I thought it was full! Edit: On that note, could I ask you to add a sample of each of the following to the opening post so I(and perhaps others) have a clearer understanding of the difference? I guess it might be a silly question but I am not very familiar with this I guess, haha ;

Most people want anything along the lines of romance to either happen naturally or be a part of a predetermined plot, usually with a friend; so you might continue to have difficulty finding someone willing to just snap up that role and apply it to their character without much concern. Though should you manage to then do try to be a little cautious. Perhaps it's just me but it's an area where even if I played a character who was very casual about the matter, I'm not sure that I'd be entirely comfortable getting involved in one without OOCly knowing them somewhat ^^ In any case, good luck! I hope she can get over her heartbreak soon ~

Ahh! I remember that now actually. Sorry for the confusion, haha. @Gegenji Well do keep us updated please! I'd like to hear how it goes ^^

Ah, that person wasn't directing that towards you. A lot of topics around a certain nature have often found themselves coming back around to a discussion about miqo'te lore in particular. In any case, any further questions or discussions about the topic are best brought to this topic where everyone can read and contribute ^^

Hypocritical?

Yes, exactly. You worded it better than I have. If not raw physical strength then at least some, desirable attribute. Though my tribe doesn't seem to see it that way, I find it pretty understandable to be just as careful with females too.... assuming a tribe can afford to be so picky(population and age distribution-wise).
-
*nods* Whenever I say "the strongest" I typically add "male at least" in there too just to be safe but I sort of like the notion of him being the best overall as well, at least in my tribe's personal circumstances, since it feels as though it gives his position more meaning since females don't go through the same process... WHICH MAKES ME WONDER..... Given this setup, surely females whom are lackluster hunters(few though they may be) would drawn upon some concern too? In the case of a shaman/healer whom avoids hunts you could argue that a coupling would be to ensure at least one birth from a mother whom has an affinity for dealing with aether perhaps, but aside from that... *thinks*
