I'm pretty sure this is pure speculation and head canon on your part, Valence. There is nothing that I can recall in the quests to back up your speculation. I can't think of a single place where this is mentioned. Do you have a specific quote where it is stated that White Mages cannot use White Magic (Padjali or otherwise) without a Soul Stone?

I don't usually agree with Kieron on much, but... That's seriously the dumbest thing I've ever heard, Staccato. I'd avoid that player in the future. They sound like a manipulative dumbass. Also, if people are heavily judging you because you can't keep up with chat scroll at large events, they're dumbasses, too.

I think at the very least we probably need more data centers. Gilgamesh and Balmung really shouldn't be in the same data center with each other.

I was 592 and did manage a small house. Barely. I think I got the last one.

Less than 10 minutes, actually. Every single Medium and Large was gone in under 6 minutes.

I have obviously missed the descriptions of what is involved in veneration of Nophica. ._. There's that big altar in Gridania, but I have no idea what goes inside it.

I feel it is a crying shame that we know more about how the Kojin revere their deities (the kami) than we do about how Nophica, Nald'thal or Ayzema are worshiped.

Well, yes, there should be. But the only ones we ever really run into are the Clergy in Eastern Thanalan who care for the deceased, the Halone clergy that figure large in the HW plotline, and the monks that worship Rhalgr. Which is, admittedly, weird. I know that there is a clan of Xaela who handle the sacred soil before the Nadaam (I forget their name), and they might be the closest thing to "clergy" in the Steppe. The great mother of the Mol also seems to be a shaman of some sort, but it's never really elaborated on. There's a shuttered temple that has some connection to geomancy in Yanxia, but, again, it's never really elaborated on. Wish I had more for you. :-\

I don't know that we have much of any information about a clergy of the Dawn Father or Dusk Mother. In fact, we really don't have much on clergy in the game at all beyond what we see in Ishgard with Halone and the monks that follow Rhalgr. Hopefully Sounsyy will be along to provide what we do have! But I can't recall any off the top of my head. Which sucks. I like playing clergy-type characters, but it's really hard in this game. :-\

Bear in mind that the character creator is not the be-all and end-all. When someone like Fernehawles makes a statement at a major convention (or even on the forums), it's important to take note of what he's saying. That's the guy who does the localization for the English version of the game. With that said, if you want your character to still be living the cave life, by all means. No one is going to tell you to stop. What Fernehawles said doesn't necessarily mean that Duskwights can't live in caves, only that Gelmorra isn't a functional entity at this point. So if they're living in caves, it won't be the relatively posh caves in the Gelmorran style.

You might have better luck if you peruse the FC and Linkshell halls and see what FCs are recruiting. Altho the romance angle may be a stumbling block.

They're not really cool with the Warrior of Light. As I recall, they tell you to leave immediately. It's just, shit is happening with the Ruby Princess, so that kind of gets sidetracked.

So it's a different language that is almost indiscernible from the Eorzean tongue in the Japanese version? I didn't see where it specified written text only but then again does it matter? If it's written one way then it's spoken that way too, right? This is why I'm just washing my hands of it at this point. I just plan to RP this out in the way that my partners and I are comfortable. Ah, no. I believe what they meant is that they drew so strongly from actual Japanese to form the language that, if your language is actual Japanese, you would be hard-pressed as the player to tell the difference. For anyone who is playing in a different language, the differences are obvious to the player. But it's still a separate language from the common tongue spoken in-character by NPCs and whatnot.
