Here are some words that I think highlight some of the colours within our RP Introspection Close personal interaction Social banter Jeopardy Action Mundane to epic Action alone is not sufficient, it needs a context that places it against the backdrop of a story arc that is generally epic, while at the same time allowing for personal stories and feelings to play out and later to feed introspective thoughts of individuals and groups. Or to borrow from zen and Jedi - Characters need to be invested in the moment, while aware of it's place in the past and mindful of the consequences for the future. Practically I expect individuals to own their own story and some wider group (FC, GM etc..) to own the Epic arc. The action part is something that facilitates these and brings its own elements. Example.. Party come across a wagon being attacked by bandits, they get to do the fight, then interact with survivors. Action from the fight Nice interaction with survivors, probably a nice backstory They can follow the threads that lead them along the epic plot of the caravan, why are they moving where are they going, what is is in that chest they hide from you? They can follow the bandits and find a larger ring of organised unrest that leads them into corrupt officials and outside influences .. there are any number of larger plots that could suit, you can even seed in players hooks if they need them I may have not answered the question... if it was about combat mechanics.. I vote RP.
