The LS is doing great, thanks to all the members. We are active most of the time and now and almost full. To help with this we have instigated some form of activity checking so we can clear out inactive characters and allow space for new members. Keep on RPing!

Just one thing I would say, RP the character not the disability. Too often I have seen blind/deaf/amnesia characters be defined by the disability and it soon gets tired.

Tides of love

Oh I tend to have a sliding scale of RP so will still be doing it in my head even in a raid. I will then adapt to those I am with. Some constant things I do more often than not.. When I teleport in I stagger as my character has issues with it When I stand next to someone I often make an IC comment.. you never know RP may happen To teleport I will go to the crystal or try and find a corner to do it from All my gear is glamoured to be IC (you won't see my glowing novus for the level 13 sword I put over it) I wave at all the people on my friend list.. they are all glowing pink nameplates I may talk to the NPC in /say and emote to them

Some one liners from me: Macro the pet, it makes a big difference. Know the fight and get the shield in early Understand when you can move and still get the cast off (used to be essential for the wall in AK & Titan) Use the pet aoe heal to effect (you have on macro) and let people heal back from that, don't feel you have to do all the healing... maybe shield them Keep the tank up, DPS should minimise the damage they take Swiftcast + Raise for the DPS that does not make it Energy Drain for mana, especially when Aetherflow will soon be available again On macros: Macro your damage to use & then you can target boss or tank and dps without switching (note that you need to work out how to see boss casts - maybe focus target?) I use mouse over healing, which is not for everyone (see in your macros).. EoS heals the target if I have one or mouse over .. while I just heal the mouse over .. which can heal two different people at once There is a lot in some of these lines.. hope it helps

In a word, no. My characters have a life, they are not immortal, so they do die. But there is a story there to play. I may retire them and put them out of the way, but I expect I would always leave the opportunity for them to return. In other dice based games where RNG can kill you, then yes I have had characters die permanently. But for me my RP is now more about the role play and less about mechanics. If I was to take my char out in FFXIV, then I would probably just re-purpose the toon with a new look, name and character.

Not so much in lore but this is such a crazy place you could fit this in. Personally I have gone down the "Hedge Witch" route mixing vague fairy tale and hokey stuff together. Like Snake Oil, Warding Talismans, Crystal Healing, Seances, Astrology etc.. I have done plots like this where such hokey fixes came into play.. Runaway Vegetables - where the vegetables from the farm are running away in the night Ghost Whale - where we had to build an enchanted harpoon and create spectral goggles to see into the realm of ghosts Love Potion Failure - where there were some rather strange physical effects to the men who used the potion Pirates Health Visitor - curing many issues and maladies for the Pirates at Wolves Den Rat Robbers - rats steeling gems from the miners guild Addicted to Bees - ? pending

It means to get in contact with them. You know? Poke them to let them know you're around? Don't be embarrassed... not everyone knows these things Yes sorry maybe my English showing? I mean to "/tell" them in game. You can do this by using the player search, then right clicking on the name in the list and selecting "send tell" then add the message something like "Hello, could I please have an invite to the Open RP shell?" I also keep an eye out for those who have raised an interest, so I may spot you first
