  1. Replying for Nailah: Halone, the Fury — What is your character passionate about? ● Leading her company, when she gets contracts in the house she's at her best. Menphina, the Lover — Does your character have any lovers? ● None at the moment. Thaliak, the Scholar — What topics or subjects does your character like to learn about? ● Currently she's studying Thraumaturgy, but she otherwise loves learning local history. Nymeia, the Spinner — Does your character have any extraordinary skills in crafting? ● She's more likely to stab herself with a needle.. Llymlaen, the Navigator — What is your character’s dream vacation? Where would they go? Who or what would they bring with them? ● She'd love to wander a new land. Oschon, the Wanderer — Where is your character from? Where do they consider their home to be now? ● Ala Migho. Despite getting the odd glance due to being a highlander, she considers Ul'dah her home now. Byregot, the Builder — What are the building blocks of your character’s personality from their childhood that determines their reactions and behaviors as an adult? ● The moments she had with her parents before they were killed in the Ala Mihgan turmoil gained much more value after their death. She has a strong desire to survive and live on, and the courage to do so, because of them. Rhalgr, the Destroyer — If your character had the power, what would they destroy? ● The syndicate. Because they're assholes. Azeyma, the Warden — Who has been the most important role model in your character’s life? ● Tarald, her ex. (NPC) Nald’thal, the Traders — What does your character do for a living? What is their favorite job to work on? What is their least favorite job to do? ● She leads a mercenary company, but prefers trading any day. She hates when she has to deal with people who break the Kindred's contract. Especially when she has to fire them. Nophica, the Matron — Describe your character’s parents? Who is their mother? Who is their father? ● Very little is known about them. Nailah knows that they were both in the Ala Mihgan security of some variety. In recent time she has speculated if they might have been allied to the King of Ruin and thus been on the "wrong" side of history. This doubt is causing her to want to be on the right side, for as far as she can see. Althyk, the Keeper — If your character could go back into the past and change one thing, what would it be and why? ● I do not think she would have changed much. If anything, she'd have gone back to try and leave Tarald in a way that she might be able to live with, knowing that the Calamity would strike at a point of deep regret over her former actions. She realizes that staying would mean that she would have died with them, and that goes against her desire to live on.
  2. Whilst goofing around in Makyn's room, I got the chance to take this screenshot.. Added a few thought bubbles for funsies.
  3. Yuss! I'd love to do this. maybe a brother/sister thing. I'm not too interested in the female Xaela. I echo this, though it depends when we get to creation/benchmark. So far I am leaning towards male. The girls just seem too.. Well. I kinda have the same problem miqote females. Like almost too cutesy - though they did say that their creation will be very detailed.
  4. I am planning one in my FC which could be opened up to more people (outside of the fc) - I don't really plan to have the two related too much. It's sort of a side-project for me and based on just what we know and then 80% assumptions. With the intention of modifying it along the way. If anything our little potential-group could probably do with some rivals, as it says they often fight with other tribes and such? I also might make more than one au ra (I'm hoping I get to make a conjurer like one, if they know of that. It should definitely be some sort of healer since that is unexplored rp-territory for the most part for me) so color me interested.
  5. You have a really nice a- Wait.. Tape to a cow? *cough* Ahem. You seem to have a good sense of humor! And your character certainly looks interesting too.
  6. I really like your style /stalks on tumblr for future pretties.
  7. I'd be interested in this for Nailah. What's your schedule like? I am an EU'er so I reckon it comes down to if we're ever online at the same time.
  8. Regardless of server - Hope to see you back online asap! It's never fun having to miss out on a game you love.
  9. Yay for EU friendly time. Unfortunately it looks like this is going to clash with The Anchorage, to which I've already promised my attendance ._. I love the concept, so if you host another one at some point I'll try to be at that one
  10. Shitstorms may yet be avoided! I quite like your post, it explains things as I also find they are and gives a helpful advice. I very much agree that communication is very important, and I don't think it can really be said enough. Just because something isn't done for the sake of affecting the persons behind the characters doesn't mean it can't get uncomfy and awkward. It's always better to talk with the other part(s..) in the situation than to suffer through something like that.
  11. ^Me right now. Finally some stuff! I don't like the fact that they made one of the au ri clans solitary and only adventuring on a "rare" occasion, mostly because it's rather restrictive when you go an RP it.. And though they left the door open, if you have twenty people doing it in your RP group/where you usually RP it probably wont feel as rare as it's supposed to be. But YAY for the other one. It's exactly what I was hoping for, and now I can start planning more for my little family sideproject.
  12. Banned because I'm going to bed. And because the sun is up.
  13. Tentatively yes. I haven't heard any lore that indicates how much or when, I doubt it'd have much to do with seasons.. But, if we look to real life for a few moments, humans shed hair too and especially long-haired people like me will notice our hairs everywheeeere when cleaning. Regular brushing helps keep it down/keeps it from going everywhere. I suppose a miqo'tes hair from for example the tail or the ears might be more noticeable, as they're short, and obviously could be contrasting color to the furniture. I reckon that a well-groomed miqo'te probably wouldn't have any problems with shedding too much. If they're not so groomed, maybe more? They could potentially also be exposed to more diseases that have increased hair-loss as a symptom. Heck, even increased stress can lead to hair-loss. More speculations than actual lore, but honestly nothing I'd find outrageous if you were to remark that your miqo'te is shedding a bit more hair than usual. Overall I would not say they shed quite like a housecat/dog when spring approaches.
  14. Banned because this thread is on page 44.
  15. Kudos to Verad for his random walk up to Nailah & following up on her request. I am in tears from laughter
  16. For me, and especially when it comes to plots and story-lines, I really appreciate it if the person you are roleplaying with is able to do so without a script. 80% of what I do in RP isn't planned, it's just improvisation based on the situations that occur which follows the general "ruleset" if you would that exists for my character's personality. I have experienced many times when you have someone playing a villain - which I know is not an easy job, where they rely a bit too much on instructions and aren't able to take the role and "own" it. Just because someone else started the idea for a concept doesn't mean you should, well, in essence stop being a roleplayer and be more of an actor. I appreciate it also when the other person.. - Have well-balanced characters and should they challenge one of mine, they're okay with using my chosen way of dealing with fights (free-form). A gesture I return, if one of my characters challenge someone else, I will be playing by their method (Like, roll-emote) even if I don't agree with it. - Plays fair, but also understands that there's no such thing as a fair fight. - Keeps a decent emote speed, especially if it's late in the evening. I will absolutely fall asleep if I have to wait more than 5 minutes for a reply. Certain situations are excused from this because they might be more out of the usual comfortzones. - Understands that taking roleplay seriously doesn't mean it can't be fun, or that I can't see roleplay as fun. And increasingly, that following lore doesn't make you the most serious person out there. It simply isn't fun for me if lore is violated so much that my immersion gets ruffled. (Insert obligatory "My immershuhn!" cry out here) - Communicates oocly and never feels like they can't ever ask a clarifying question. When there's no assumptions like "This person is ignoring me! Rude!" When it's a case of me missing an emote. - Is about as happy for OOC Drama as I am. Which means not very. - Doesn't railroad things. I am not a fan of pre-determining anything when it can be avoided. - Keeps OOC and IC seperate. I don't know if this specific thing absolutely makes someone "great" since I see it almost as a minimum requirement, but I will definitely be going in the opposite direction as soon as I notice there being any sort of a bleed. Especially when romance is involved. One thing that I do not put so much weight on is descriptiveness in emotes. If the interaction is flowing, then it doesn't matter to me if the couch was described as being soft when your character sat on it. Despite the fact that I myself tend to feel very inferior when there's someone doing entire paragraphs near me and there I am with my silly two-lined emote about sipping drinks and peoplewatching.. I could probably go on but I will leave it at this.
  17. Nailah is at times are tough, slowly approaching basement exterminator. I got tired of playing over 9000 characters in Rift whilst getting away with it (Ascended supersoldier woo..) Thala'to is at do you even aether. He doesn't like fighting and will still whine you an earful about the one single small scar he has on his arm from the last time he was in a fight.
  18. Matches for round one has completed. Any further signups will go into round two (Need another 10 for that)
  19. Nope! Constructing the spreadsheet right now
  20. Seems I have just about enough to make this happen. I'll start matching people up tomorrow!
  21. Dimensions from Rift. Some of my own videos from when I did them: 2JITkm-uTmY Novia is a co-build between me and my boyfriend. Several of the structures are built plank-for-plank (they later added wall-segments), and the item limit was sat high enough for us to be able to get a proper village feel out of it. It gave us the opportunity to create places from our characters backgrounds for future RP purposes, was a /great/ tool. 0Kxuhw2U3Ro This one here was from when the Dimensions system was being tested on the PTR (so, before it's actual launch). Deciding to see what it could do, my bf tried to replicate the pig and whistle (Tavern from Stormwind in WoW) and got away with it very decently. Again this is built plank-for-plank, so every plank has been manually placed. I sank so many hours into those things. My channel has a bunch of other videos from both mine and others dimensions, but I have not added any new ones since I started playing XIV.
  22. Still looking for someone who can show up (in some form) and tell a short spooky tale about poor maids mill. PM me if interested
