And you're one of them! :cactuar:

Eh. I think people can certainly show PDA and make it completely PG or PG-13. That shouldn't offend people--or I wouldn't think it would, at least. Val constantly has his arm around his lady to make sure others know she's his. I've seen others kiss, hug, and cuddle/hold hands in /say and it doesn't bother me. It's when you turn the corner and see someone actually doing something that's a tad too much =p

Not really a mistell, but in another MMO I was RPing as my main character who was currently dating a lady. Meanwhile, I was talking to his ex in whispers and writing emotes at the same time. The character said something and meant to use his current girlfriend's name, and instead, when the ex (who is still a great friend of mine OOC) sent me a tell, that name got stuck in my head. ..So, he ended up calling his girlfriend the name of his ex girlfriend. It was a tad embarrassing and lolsy. Not to mention the fact that I was in vent with a group of friends (about four/five of us) and we were ALL RPing. And they never let me (or my character) live it down =p

I've taken this test several times before, both for psychology courses I've taken and a few others where professors feel it's a good "ice breaker." Every single time, I get INTJ. In fact, a lot of my RL friends are also INTJs. I feel that we tend to mesh really well together simply because we get one another =) And here's another good site for figuring out what an INTJ is: http://www.truity.com/intj

Hi Naih'ir! I'm not entirely sure how well our characters will get along, but I'm more than willing to RP with you! To be honest I haven't found much in the way of plots going on, either. It has gone to simply logging in and having Val interact with others. Most plot-based RP, from what I've seen, has been kept within their respective linkshells and aren't open to the public. I understand this, but as you said, it seems incredibly closed off and I feel it's hurting the community in the long run. Why? Because people won't stick around if they can't find people to RP with. The less people play, the less chances there will be for thrilling and entertaining plots to exist between groups. Val was never meant to be the head of plots. I've said it before, but I've built him so that he can be, more or less, involved in any plot he's wanted/needed in. He's a mercenary and, quite honestly, a bottle of wine or a meal is as good of payment to him as gil--assuming the job warrants such. Since he's a mercenary, he can more or less be involved anywhere that someone is willing to have him. ..And yet, I've still had issues finding people that are in plots that are willing to allow others. As far as your plots go: I'd love to do IC dungeon runs, but with the timer I feel incredibly restricted by it. Pay Val enough and he'd gladly go after some thieves =) Sadly, Val doesn't much do research and he isn't incredibly intelligent. He can go find things and protect someone doing the research, but as far as making assumptions himself--well. It just isn't in him! TL;DR The community seems stale overall--at least to someone looking for RP that doesn't already have a set group. I'll RP with you if you want =D

I have SO many games already that I'm not sure I'll have time to play it. I'm currently playing Splinter Cell: Conviction and trying like hell to beat it before Friday so I can pick up Arkham Origins. On my plate, I still have: Legend of Zelda: Windwaker HD Dragon's Crown Lego Marvel Pokemon X Playing console Diablo 3 with the girlfriend I have some others that I don't really recall at the moment, but that's currently what's resting in the "I wish I had time to play you" pile. I just KNOW that if I pick up something as hefty as Black Flag, it will take AGES for me to beat it. My college work is getting in the way of such greatness ;-;

Fen! Yo stuff is so awesome. It looks great! I love the one with Sio/Fen =D

You know I'm MORE than willing to RP with you on any characters that you have! Simply add me on one of them or let me know who you think Val would better mesh with!

Welcome! And I LOVE Da Vinci's Notebook. The moment I saw this title, I immediately thought of that song and immediately had to stop in and--yes! You did it! My character, Val Nunh, isn't exactly the most respectable individual and he lacks a great many social graces, but you're more than welcome to contact me in game under that moniker and I'd be more than happy to RP with you! Welcome (back) to the server!

Val simply studied the woman for a while, his eyes trailing over the various features that made up her face. Not unlike her, his features scrunched up in an equal amount of annoyance and he crossed his arms about his chest. "Oh yeah!? Well.." he began, only to immediately falter. He really seemed to have nothing to shoot back at her. At least, he certainly had nothing to say that wouldn't immediately land him a fury of lectures. "Comfort ain' got nothin' t'do with it." he quipped back as soon as she had given him something to respond to. His attention went to the finger that poked the rough leathers he wore. "It keeps me protected enough an' keeps me from gettin' m'shit kicked in. S'long as it works, I can't complain. 'Sides, ain' like I got the money t'afford anythin' else anyway."
-
It took some time for Val to realize that the person in which she was speaking to was him. His features changed to give him a rather bewildered look and he scoffed. "..Y'what? Y'want me t'wear /that/? D'ya know how much've a fruit I'd look like in that shit?" he quipped back, voice alone doing more to show his distaste for the idea. Even with the words, however, the Seeker turned and promptly closed the bit of distance between them. He, much like her, looked between the pieces of fabric and then at the rough leathers that covered his form. "Idunno. I ain' one t'wear all that.. light frilly stuff." His right gloved hand reached to brush his fingers through the blonde locks that covered the back of his neck and rub, perhaps to ease some sort of cramp or pain from the spot. "...I s'pose y'know what you're talkin' 'bout, though. Ain' like I ain' been wearin' th'same damned thing for a few years now, anyway."

Here you go!

Oh definitely! I do the same thing! If it's something MEANT to be private--like a whisper, inside a home, etc. I totally understand!

Stop talking about me =p I've already mentioned before how very one-sided it is. People that I've had the pleasure of encountering are either neutral or super good. There's nothin WRONG with that, mind you. It'd just be nice to have someone or something to spice things up a bit! I do have a character that is meant to be evil, I just haven't rolled him out due to being too busy with my main. If I have to, I suppose I can. I'll talk about chu if I want! Joo ain't teh boss o' me! D:< I don't know. I don't feel like people should feel obligated to roll bad guys just for the sake of having them around. Can't that be left to people who want to play them full time? I know they're out there. They're everywhere... Gotta stop throwin' them monkey wrenches in the potential bad-guy characters' plans. The monkey wrench of kindness. Oh, I agree. Full-time baddies would be glorious, but I've always had this character and the intention to play him. I've just been caught up in so much other stuff P.S. Sio I want to RP with you sometime. I miss it.

I'm not a fan of private RP in the slightest. I feel that it stifles an already relatively small community and doesn't allow others to get involved. If you want to stay small, that's great--but that's also how cliques and whatnot get started and I've seen far too many MMOs devolve into such.

I prefer entirely free-form RP. Knowing what's going to happen makes me feel like I've already read to the back of the book and saw the ending. Not knowing, to me, is just as fun (if not more fun) as RPing getting there. Even better when the favor goes against your character and the character him/herself grows from the experience. All in all, it's wonderful. I'm not entirely against planned out events, mind you. Sometimes, if we want our character to reach a certain point, we really don't have much choice. I'm going to bring up WoW simply because I used to RP there quite often. The server I was on had an IC council for which my character served as a bodyguard on and, quite often, would stalk the streets (rogue) to try and find villains and others doing things they shouldn't be. Most of them were entirely open to the idea of someone stumbling on them, though I certainly made sure to ask "Hey, do you mind if I get involved or would there be no way to see what's happening?"--you know, doors and such. Back in those days, there was no shortage of villains and villainy. I truly believe that, as far as dramatic RP goes, it's really a necessity. Now, I don't mean villains as in the kind that simply try to destroy the continent/world/realm/reality/everythinginexistencemuwahaha. Any sort of antagonist to your character's desires/wishes, to me, is a GREAT addition! A guy trying to take their girl, someone that likes to show up and just be mean/ruin the character's day, etc. It's fun and thoroughly enjoyable. To be honest, I get bored when all the characters do is stand around and talk without some sort of eventual conflict. Overall, as the others have already stated, I strongly feel that you must respect the other individuals and show courtesy to them. I have zero problems with people RPing villains with his/her own personal agenda so long as the person playing the villain knows that it might not fly with everyone else, and that's fine. Simply avoid those people and spend time with those that do want to be involved. After all, it's a pretty large world out there. That's just my personal view! A lot of people don't want/need that kind of RP, but for me it adds a nice spice to things =)

Not far from the ivory-haired Midlander stood the sandy-headed Seeker. In fact, he was but a mere five feet from her current position. The Miqo'te was a stark contrast to her, wearing dark browned leathers that sported several rips and tears in both the fabric and the stitching that held it all together. He wore no jewelry. Instead, smudges of dirt, dust, and a light bruise or two adorned his form. Quite possibly the most noticeable thing about this Miqo'te is that he looked absolutely, utterly, terribly bored. His tail, colored the same sandy-blonde as his hair, flicked back and forth behind him at a quickened pace. His arms were drawn across his chest, fingers tapping lightly over the worn leather along either bicep. His eyes were only half open, the skin just barely covering bi-colored eyes; the left golden, the right a pale blue with a scar bisecting from top to bottom. The majority of the Seeker's weight rest along his right leg and, with this slouched posture, it was hard to tell exactly which one of the two was taller. The blaring heat obviously didn't help things, though the few droplets of sweat that beaded down his forehead and fell from his brow did very little to bring him to attention. Despite his rather annoyed or tired disposition, two fluffy ears remained ever perked toward the sky and constantly satellite dished about as if attempting to hear that which was around him. On very rare occasions, he could be spotted glancing back to peer at the Ul'dan merchant and offer a scowl of disapproval.

I'd say this is all about right =|

Thanks guys =) Maybe we'll find others roaming about.

Val Nunh, my main, is also a mercenary for hire. He'll take most jobs so long as the pay is right

There were several times during Tobias' speech that Val came incredibly close to proving the Hyur right. Especially when he had offered Val's lady the compliment. Val did move after, though it was not likely in the way that Tobias had hoped. Instead of rushing at the Midlander, the Seeker simply finished off his drink and placed the cup on the bar. His right hand slid to the coin pouch at his side and he removed several new, shiny coins. They obviously had not came from him, considering the state they were in. The gil was placed just beside the cup and he turned to Tobias. "I already proved m'point t'ya, kid. Y'fuck with m'woman an' I'll kill ya. She's already been instructed t'keep 'er distance, an' she's already promised me she ain' gonna interfere next time y'act out like y'did." The words were spoken not as a threat, but moreso as a warning. "Y'can admire 'er all y'want. Y'can even talk about how y'wanna have 'er. That's all well an' good, but at th'end've the night she's comin' home t'me an' no one else. An' as I told th'other guy: she always will." Val pivoted on his right foot to turn toward the door and begin to take his leave, clearly in believe of the words he'd spoken to Tobias. He had no desire to be in the man's company, and such was very clear. All offered to the man as he left was a dismissive wave over his shoulder, and just like that, the entire confrontation had been dropped and forgotten.
-
Not once did Val allow his attention to part from Tobias, even when the Hyur conversed with the barkeep. "Yeah, y'could do all that." he began in a rather stern reply, "An' it'll end up 'xactly how y'said it would, only with less've that retarded ass bondin' an' whatnot. Y'already know where I stand with ya. Don' much care t'make friends--got enough's it is." Only then did he turn from the man, though both of his ears perked slightly to betray the fact that he was certainly alert. "Don' worry 'bout m'tab or none've that. An' th'lady's where she needs t'be. Ask me 'bout 'er again an' I'll cut out y'damned tongue." He looked as if he were about to say more, and instead opted out in order to take a rather long draw from his glass.

I will say I know a couple of people that have left, but it in no way means that MOST people are leaving. There are some that I've RPed with that I just simply haven't been able to find again. Others, however, I RP with on a near daily basis. It all depends on where you look, really =)
