Val's gaze never left hers, even as the woman leaned forward. It must have been quite the effort in his part considering his typical tendencies. Nevertheless, his lips curled into a wry grin at the woman as she turned and began to move on. "Eh. I've seen better." He commented aloud, not necessarily caring whether or not she had heard him. Both lids fell over his eyes as he thought silently to himself for a moment, likely relaxed due to the alcohol he'd consumed since he entered earlier in the evening. "...Seven. Nah, six-point-five. An' that's bein' generous." He stated to no one but himself. Immediately, however, Val's entire disposition changed. He recognized the voice and, upon opening his eyes, immediately the man that spoke it. His features fell into a deep scowl at the man, stance widening slightly and chest puffing out just a bit--an action that more than gave away the fact that he was on edge. "Th'lady's doin' just fine. An' sure, y'can speak. But if I don' like what'cha say, you're gettin' gutted again."

Val rolled his eyes almost immediately at the woman's response. His tail flicked a tad hard to its left side, a sign of annoyance. "Trust me, cupcake," he emphasized, likely a point made on purpose, "I ain' got no interest in ya. 'Sides, y'don't run around with y'tits hangin' out an' not expect someone t'look." The Miqo'te spoke the words as if he had a point, and if so, he truly meant it. He turned his attention entirely to the glass in his right hand and took another swig, pausing long enough to savor the flavor before gulping the relatively harsh liquid down.

Val had already been within the Coffin, bi-colored eyes of blue and gold watching the entire event unfold. The way the Seeker handled the man brought a wry grin to his lips. When the reappeared through the swinging doors, he wasted absolutely no time in trailing his gaze over her figure, nor did he try to hide it. After all, unlike his brethren that she'd so easily forced to vacate the room, he was more than confident in his capabilities to defend himself. He turned from her, elbows of his leather armor resting along the bar while his fingers drummed over its hard surface. His sandy blonde-haired tail swished back and forth behind in a lazy fashion, a maneuver that seemed to punctuate his rather relaxed, bored state. "Y'know," Val began after the woman turned to peer at the other occupants of the room, "If y'don' go lookin' f'trouble, y'likely wouldn't have t'kick some random guy's ass out. Just sayin', cupcake." The tender finally returned with his drink and Val paused in his greeting to take a quick sip of the beverage. "Though I s'pose th'guy ain' worth anythin' if y'can take 'em out so easily. S'prolly a lowly Tia or somethin'." The only time he ever cared to glance at the woman again was to look at her out of the corner of the right, scar-crossed eye to gauge her reaction. He wasn't too fond of being blindsided.

Hello! Nothing wrong with simply getting started out and getting a feel for things, even if you end up having to vanish! Considering the popularity of the game and the RP in it, I doubt it's going anywhere anytime soon! Plus, a lot of people like to RP outside of game via Skype/Enjin/whatever messenger is available at the time. I suppose what I am responding to say is simply, "Welcome to Balmung!" I hope that you manage to have a wonderful time. I'm not entirely sure if Val and Victoir would get along, but you're more than welcome to add me and run me down for some RP sometime! I would be more than thrilled to do so! RP is very plentiful, but it never hurts to have more people to play with!

Veteran Highlander Miner seeking RP friends on Gilgamesh

Welcome to Balmung! Feel free to add me on Val Nunh and, if you want to RP sometime, we can certainly do so =) -

Just checking as to whether or not there were other Wolf tribe members out there? Truth be told, I've only seen one, maybe two others in game. I'm not expecting to get a lot of response to this, but I figure it'd be nice to ask. Thanks for your time!
-
Nope nope nope. Congratulations, though. I never could've done it, myself =x

Pretty much all the places people have named. I have been checking Wineport, but I haven't found nearly as many there as there were on release. I'd imagine that's simply because of the aforementioned reasons, though.

It's so awesome ;-; thank you!
-
Because everyone else is! And thanks in advance! <3 sent!

I've seen you running around before, and I think I responded to another thread of yours =) The name in game is Val Nunh. Feel free to whisper me whenever!
-
..Well then. If you ever get the time, Val wouldn't mind looking absolutely precious and adorable.

I have to say I at least agree here. I've seen someone with all those super hourglass-figured dimensions and saying how beautiful we see them, but uh. Some people think the figure is pretty ugly, so. I totally follow what you're saying though, and agree with it wholeheartedly.
-
I'll be sure to add you when I get a chance, Xydane. Unfortunately, Val is nowhere near the "strictly good" mentality. He's more a chaotic neutral. Likes to cause mischief, that sort of thing. But Cyrus seems very close to what you want, and I'm more than happy to introduce the character to you =)

You're so negative! Coming from a Warcraft background I know exactly what you're talking about though. My friends and I would walk around Silvermoon reading the hilariously bad ones, and take a drink every time one launched into some overly descriptive exposition about how pretty they were. This often resulted in blacking out before 1am. But, it's much better to roll your eyes and laugh it off than be upset about it. You can't change people's RP style. Eh. I don't fault people for wanting to have beautiful/hot/gorgeous/attractive RP characters. I mean, that's the whole point of RP, yeah? To pick a character you like the idea of being and.. well. Be them? Play them out? Whatever. Some of them do make me chuckle, of course, but hey. To each their own.

You can't =( but it's better than nothing.

I don't think good guys are boring to play at all. It really and truly depends on the community. I say this because if you play a truly good character (my character, Cyrus, is one) that has no villains or people to try and stop, it can get a tad mundane. They go about the same thing on a daily basis and can get a tad repetitive. With a villain or two thrown at them, even just someone with conflicting interests, suddenly there's this whole new dynamic opened up that really helps both characters grow. That being said, in no way am I bored playing Cyrus. I am gifted with one of the most wonderful RP partners that I think I could have found and, because of this, the RP he is in is always interesting and fun. If you want a good guy to hang with or need someone like that to converse with, I'd be more than happy to throw Cyrus at ya. Anyone, really. Edit: Oh, and Cyrus is a soldier that strives to be a knight. Super holy, gotta-save-everyone mentality. For those that are interested.

Wow, I didn't think a company as large as Motorola would have only one center. But.. Feel bad for SE support now, especially only a month after launch. Can only imagine what it must have been like over there closer to release. Those poor, poor souls. You would think! Needless to say, that center is no longer operational. I'm not quite sure what happened because I quit ASAP. We also handled all of the e-mails--so you had those techs doing tech calls all day PLUS answering e-mails while on the phone with customers. Horrid work ethic, and since I haven't much cared for Motorola. I'm sure they had other centers to handle other things, but as far as the routers and such went it was just us. I can't say that SE is like that, but it makes me wary to get entirely angry at the tech support without knowing how the company is using it. If there's multiple centers, then I.. don't see much of an excuse.
-
This is brilliant for the time being. People, DO THIS Done =) Hopefully people will be interested enough to see.

I once worked tech support for Motorola's broadband modems/routers. It wasn't until after I got moved to that position from where I was that I found out that we were the only call center in the U.S. for people to call. The only one. There were about 80 of us, tops. We worked 12 hour shifts, 4 days a week. It wasn't horrid, but that kind of thing can really grate on you--especially knowing that there's absolutely zero break time outside of your given breaks and.. bleh. Complaining aside, I can certainly see how an overworked/understaffed site can be. If that's the case, I feel horrid for them. It's not fun at all.

As many others have pointed out, IC is IC. I have three characters. One, my main, curses like a sailor. He does it because, well, that's just how he is. I imagine that those around can either block me or leave the area if they don't like the idea of seeing it. Strictly put, though, it's in character. It will always stay in character and I have no plans or desires to bring it out of character. My other two are completely different. One is a soldier who has big dreams of becoming a knight. He is incredibly nice and I don't even think has a curse in his vocabulary. The other is capable, but he finds it tasteless and only does such when he's angry. I'll never act like my main OOCly. To my knowledge, I don't think I ever have. If he offends people, or I feel he's offended people, I make sure to apologize to others OOCly for his actions and ensure that they know that I, the player, am nothing like that. I don't feel that I should have to do it, but it certainly is a bother and I'd rather be safe than sorry.

While Val wouldn't necessarily join, I think it'd be a GREAT idea for this to happen. It kind've fosters a lot of good RP, both for the community and the villains/negligent on the server. That being said, I also recall the Guard in Stormwind and remember them running about and doing a lot. The only problem would be the things that supposedly plagued them, such as favoritism and elitism and all that good stuff. I say supposedly because I honestly wasn't in the guild, nor do I know the truth of the rumors that inevitably surfaced. All in all so long as someone could keep it fair, I think it'd be great. Also, should someone have the need or desire to capture Val, I have no problems with him staying in as long as he needs/has to. I have alts for a reason, after all =)

-Goes to make a Miqo'te lady.- Hah! Joke's on you. I already have four.
