Regardless of his neutered status, if there's a Miss Kitty outside shaking her tail, he's going to want to go oblige her. Getting that taste could certainly make him want more. If Gizmo succeeds in darting he'll try harder for the next few days until he gives up again. A spray bottle won't hurt him or make him hate you. Most of my cats have all gotten in a few times in their lives when they're being little butts and they are all pretty well behaved and quite loving cats. It's just water and it just startles them away from what they're plotting. They're momentarily offended that you would wet their sensitive selves at best. Then they dry up and they're fine...and hopefully they retain that the door is offensive. ... or you'll have a cat that has just found a new toy in the water bottle experience.

This of course is negated if, like two of my cats, he enjoys trying to catch the stream no matter how many times it's squirted at his face/head/area... If it's a new behavior, it's possible that there is a cat in the vicinity that is in heat or that has recently moved in and he quite interested in them. It's going to be a constant battle until he realizes that he's not allowed out. We go through this with one of our cats (who's been an indoor cat since we got him at five months... he's four now) a few times every couple of months. He's a real ass of an opportunist in the middle of the night when I get up to let the dogs out... Mmm.. Practice soccer? You'll get good at blocking his ass when he goes to dart out... /owner of seven indoor cats :frustrated:

Of course wikis galore can fill your head with all the little tidbits you may need. The FFxiv discussion and RP discussion threads can offer lots of ideas. If you're looking to pull your character into some semblance of a network, the making connections threads may be helpful. You might also find some fun prompts to help develop your character in the Character Development section. Best thing to do when in doubt, ask a question! As it's been stated use transpose before you have access to three stacks of either and blizz/fire three. Once you have those you'll really only use it if you aren't paying attention to your rotation (tooootally guilty of it) and in your spam flare moments later down the line.

For this, we've decided to open up our IC pearl to the public! Need to scratch that adventuring itch but have ties elsewhere? Be a member of PATH without needing to leave your FC! The same short application>interview/invite process is required and can begin by visiting our site. Members of the LS will be held to the same policies that FC members are (as they'll be contracted employees, ICy) including the requirement to create/run or help run some small event for other members of the pearl/company. This is an IC linkshell. Any OOC communication should be limited and always offset in someway (brackets, parenthesis, etc). Should there be an expressed interest we can open back up our OOC LS. Finding a group you can run around with while you get your feet wet can help take some of the edge off of jumping headfirst into the community. EEEEarly mornings have always worked for me. I'm talking like 2am-8am, but I have noticed lately that new RMT things seem to be popping up on evenings around 7-8. (All my times are CST) Best thing to do is try, try, try again if you'd like a character on Balmung. Good luck wherever you end up!
