  1. Rewatching Samurai Flamenco, Overwatch, Dragon Quest Heroes, and...god, I dunno. Cooking dinner at some point, probably.
  2. McCree, Genji, Reinhardt, and Mei for me. Did I mention that it's HIGH NOON?
  3. Your character sounds lovely! I'd love to RP sometime, since Khy is a huge nerd. He's actually entangled with a bookkeeper right now himself, so at least he'd have the vaguest understanding of her work! (And then he can introduce them and drown in numbers, but cest la vie)
  4. +w+! I SEE THERE'S SOMEBODY HERE I'VE MET BEFORE? Also, thank you for the warm greetings, everyone! Except you, Arrelaine, u rood. OHOHOHOHO. Perhaps, perhaps~
  5. Gotta be careful! There's some...rapscallions out there.
  6. More Roes = more greatness. Welcome aboard!
  7. I refuse to play it. Until the spinoff comes out...Kamen Rider Atsume...it will destroy me.
  8. I signed up before downloading...and managed to download the entire thing before getting a confirmation email. They must be getting hammered.
  9. If you're looking for adventure, feel free to hit up the Gold and Glory FC/Linkshell. They do events, constant RP, and all sorts of fun stuff. You can check them out here! http://ffxiv-roleplayers.com/showthread.php?tid=14526
  10. Please don't be morbols that she likes. She'll never get the stench out!
  11. Aw, shucks! That was a lovely thing you guys did! Congrats to all of the winners, as well! Enjoy your loot~
  12. Definitely looks like it belongs in a world with giant, sword wielding robots. Or maybe flying suits of robotic armor that shoot lasers. Definitely not in a plain ol fantasy world like FFXIV.
  13. I'll be trying to hit another level 60 (The glamour beast in me needs more clothing options). Well, that and cooking a 13 pound prime rib, but that's less because it's Christmas, and more because Christmas gives me a good excuse to spend 100$ on a fancy hunk of meat to gorge on without anyone being too judgy. >_>
  14. Whee, I'm in! 1- Falconer's Shirt 2- Fat Cat! 3- A Thavnairian Bustier 4- A Company Tabard 5- A Pair of Music Boxes I don't really need the other housing stuff, alas!
  15. I think during the anniversary event, they joked about it being in the next expansion, and I know Yoshi P has said he wants them to be a DPS class. (And that the reasoning behind not releasing them early on was because two Japanese themed classes close together was something they wanted to avoid, I think?) But yes, as of now I'm pretty sure they haven't made an appearance in game. Alas.
  16. Mmm, Roegadyn ladies...wait, what was the topic again?
  17. Interesting, cooked? I have a recipe somewhere. Uses jalapenos and cascabella peppers or banana peppers. Spicy as allll get out. Lots of tomatos, I think I remember a small bit of canned tomato, cilantro, green onions and a tiny bit of white onion. -griffin squawk- EXCUSE. noun. a person who does not belong to a widely held religion (especially one who is not a Christian, Jew, or Muslim) as regarded by those who do. ... oh well, yeah that is true. Mhm. The onions and garlic were sauteed, and the tomatoes were all blanched, peeled, and then roasted for an hour to make the flavor richer. It's a puree style salsa, rather than a chunky/pico de gallo style.
  18. I just spent four hours making homemade cooked salsa. Once it chills I'll give it a proper tasting, and if it's good, I'll share with you good folks~
  19. If they were gonna add a character from a FF game, I'd much prefer Sabin. His Blitzes are perfectly suited for the move setup in Smash Brothers. NOT TO MENTION HIS FINAL SMASH COULD BE SUPLEXING THE DOOM TRAIN ONTO THE STAGE.
  20. Five hours and fifty one minutes until it unlocks. I'm eating, taking a nap, and then I have a row of energy drinks waiting for me. I work tomorrow, but I'll survive. Somehow.
  21. Have you seen MS Gundam The Origin: Blue-Eyed Casval? It uses the same art style to tell (as the name states) the origin story of everyone's favorite villain, Char Aznable. They're doing it as a series of OVAs to tell the background behind the original MS Gundam series and even retell some of the events from it, all in the same quality as Unicorn. Also there's this weekly anime series coming out on October 4th as well (Iron-Blooded Orphans) done by Tatsuyuki Nagai: http://g-tekketsu.com/index.html I knew about the new series coming out, which I am waiting for. Still hoping it will deliver, since I feel like Gundam's TV entries have been really lackluster for the past several years. At the very least the director of the new series has experience with "tugging at your heartstrings" moments so I am definitely looking forward to the emotional storytelling aspect of the new series (which is admittedly, a huge draw for me when it comes to Gundam). I did not know the first OVA of Origin was already out though! My goodness that completely slipped my notice. Hopefully it will come out at a steady pace and not take four years like Unicorn did. Remember when Unicorn was announced at only going to have 3-4 episodes? Sigh... Have some bad news for you, Edda...The first episode came out in February. The second doesn't come out until Halloween. More than six months between episodes bodes poorly for not having it drawn out.. That long, huh. Oh well... Honestly, if it's coming out within a year, that is good enough for me. Provided it stays four episodes, anyway. It's a hell of a lot better than the Code Geass "Long OVAs with Theatrical Releases." Holy crap. Over a year and half from episode 2-3, not to mention the added wait for the Blu-ray release. Just... kill me. They weren't even that great... :frustrated: Well...the Origin ep 2 theatrical release is on october, I should say. The 70-90 dollar bluray comes out a week later. Japanese bluray pricing is certainly...special. So that's another 8 1/2 months for ep 3, and then another for 4...so just over two years for Origin, provided it stays at 4.

  23. Here's a little fuel for the fire; Why is it almost always accepted for a protagonist to be skilled, but not TOO skilled (i.e. needing friends and such), but it's a hugely popular trope that the villains are just that much better at so much? I mean, I know it's obviously to do with the whole theme of needing a nigh insurmountable obstacle for the heroic character to overcome...but doesn't the villain's existence in itself point out that yes, someone can be insanely skilled? (just that it might not be you. And that through the power of narrative plot, you can kick their ass anyway.) tldr: Fiction is full of people who are crazy skilled. It generally means nothing in a narrative sense unless you want it to, and in an RP setting wanting it to and giving consent mean more than any six hundred page backstory regaling the tales of how he once killed two dragons with one punch.
  24. I think the biggest thing that ruins Gundam shows honestly is a tossup between Tomino himself and side materials released later. Stuff like "Oh, G-Reco happens 500 years after Turn A". Something he said recently in an interview that he never mentioned to anyone ever, and none of his staff even had any clue...especially since all the print materials for gunpla and such said that Turn A was the end point of the UC timeline...I guess not any more! Or the 08th MS Team novels, where in the sake of being 'more realistic to war', Kiki Rosita is gangraped by Federation soldiers and kills herself by biting her tongue off. No thank you.
