For Khyros, I would have to say a heavy inspiration is thematically Wuxia films and the like, and more realistically, Baji Quan (Or Eight Extremes Fist, which sounds WAY cooler), which I admit I am surprised to see was mentioned earlier in the thread as well! A style that utilizes sword, great spear, and saber, as well as close combat heavily involving elbow strikes of various angles and intent, body slams, and arrow-like thrusting punches. The source of the explosive power of the style comes from the legs as mentioned, since you strike the ground as you strike the opponent to increase force. This video is a rather good example. (The loud slapping noises are his foot hitting the ground like a whipcrack, obviously.) 1QGGQA2WTBI

I honestly know next to nothing about FFXV, but that is hilarious. Well, technically it's Noctis Lucis Caelum, because hey let's give him a Latin name with a silly meaning because it SOUNDS COOL. Also we'll make him LOOK COOL. And he's a psychic who can teleport and use telekinetic sword battles with his color changing eyes that can see when you'll die. It's like...so many shounen cliches rolled into one that it will either be really amusing or amusingly bad.

I think the only thing that bothers me about his design, honestly bothers me, is the "eyes changing color when he uses his super special powers" bit. And that's more on the writing than the character design itself... (Well, that and giving him a silly name like Sky of the Night's Light, that just...what?)

Khyros is a follower of Althyk himself, this definitely sounds like something I'd love to swing by, work hours permitting.

That would be why despite being i113, I haven't been past t5 because I'd only ever go with a full group of people I know and would enjoy going with, because I don't pay to play a game to get berated by strangers. Hopefully soon we'll get the last few people we need..

My character Khyros is half Ala Mhigan, his mother having been a refugee who fled there shortly before the fall. She never settled in Little Ala Mhigo, instead moving to Ul'dah and trying to start anew rather than joining the resistance. Because of this, despite taking more heavily after his midlander father, he considers the refugees of Little Ala Mhigo as kin, though obviously not the nuclear family sort.

If I can get off of work, Khy will definitely be there. Maybe even with a date, who knows! He's pretty up and up on all the Althyk stuff, but he's not an ordained priest, so I can't offer him up for that, alas.

Aren't chocobos strictly regulated by Ishgard, though? Like...regulated to the point where they keep the females and you can't even breed them outside of the nation? If that's the case, I can see horses catching on simply as a way around the monopoly held on the birds, honestly.
