I'm a RP player who is getting back from a very long break from the RP scene and a lot seems to have changed since I've been away. I'm looking for active FC's who's primary focus is RP, one that is more "combat" and "story" based as my characters background is that of an adventurer. LGBT or LGBT friendly is also somewhat of an important aspect. If anyone knows of any FC's that might match what I'm looking for I would surely appreciate their names! Hey everyone I was hoping to get some help and insight from the HRPC community on a free company that might fit what I'm looking for. To be honest I'm still trying to figure out what it is I'm looking for myself, but I would appreciate any suggestions from yall. A little about me. I've been roleplaying for years now across multiple platforms and games. I have 0 interest in PVP but do enjoy casual endgame content. I am an altaholic, so any time not spent roleplaying would likely default to leveling alts. I'd like to think I'm pretty easy going and tend to get along with most people I meet. I'm shy at first but when I get comfortable I'm very outgoing. I'm part of the LGBT community and so is Caleb. He has a pretty extensive RP history since I have been playing him for the better part of 4 years now. I'm searching for a Free Company who's primary focus is on Roleplay. To be specific I'm looking for what I guess could be described as "combat rp" or at least something where combat is part of what the FC is about. Caleb was previously part of a FC that had missions and frequent combat RP and I'm looking for something similar in that respect. LGBT friendly is a must obviously and would really like for the RP to adhere to most of the established lore/story (with exceptions of course). A FC with an active Discord would be a huge plus as I do enjoy talking to friends outside of the games chat system. Hello everyone, was just checking to see what companies might be out there, I know a lot of them aren't listed so thought I might check around here. Looking for a RP focused guild, maybe something with ties to Gridania or Adventuring. Love to get pointed in the right direction if anyone knows a company that might fit this description thanks!

I would honestly be SHOCKED if everything isn't taken within the first 3minutes of the servers being back up. I suspect Medium houses will go first, then Large houses, with small housing lasting the full 3 minutes. It will be pretty stupid how much of a land rush this will be. And I for one will likely take a break from the game for a looooong time should I not get my house >.>. likely only come back when they release more wards, and if they don't, welp onto other games that don't fuck their players over.

Yea doubling the 8 wards they currently have would have been a slightly better option. Though for Balmung nothing short of triple the 8 would cause even a slight dent in the market. But this is square were talking about, a company not know to have smart employees, at least when it comes to housing. Now it will just be mad dashes for the few houses that are being added. So question is, who is going for what lot in what area? My heart has been set on lavender beds and that's where I will be going the second servers come back up.

So I was planning on an RP event, one that would involve Eorzean Faith and I need to make sure my knowledge of the twelve is immaculate. But the lore regarding FF seems so sparse, especially about the twelve. Anyone know a place I can go to read up on them, or any good sources? I would appreciate it!

So just curious if anyone knows any Merc groups that would run Bis EX and how much each run would cost? Trying to get weapon for Glamour.

I'm gonna agree with others on here and side with the gm. I can't say for certain if its against tos but can see why it would be. If people were allowed to buy and sell houses it would have an incredibly negative impact for housing. As it stands housing in this game is utter shit with only a tiny percent of players being able to enjoy the content. And now you want to let the rich players fuck everyone else by turning this into a capitalist paradise where players buy housing then sell it to others for a profit. Fuck to the no. I hope they do crack down on house sellers.

Caleb was on his way home when a rather colorful poster grabbed his attention. It was a quick glance at first, then a double take once it sunk in that the man on the cover looked familiar. Slowly but surely his mouth dropped and sat hung open as he stared in disbelief. He stood there for a few minutes trying to wrap his head around what he was seeing, had he willingly put his face on this product? Was this some sort of joke? The poor bastard who did this should Berrod find out about the poster! A grin formed on his lips despite all efforts to not find it humorous, his partner did look a little insane. Then a sigh left him as he continued on his way home, should he tell Berrod?

I for one am jumping for joy that SoF got nerfed and here is why. I'm a nice guy, except for when it comes to PVE. When it comes to PVE I fully admit to being a complete and utter asshole. I'm the type of player who will look up videos of a fight, study it, and know what to expect before I attempt to join a que. I've played mmorpg's for years now, and on several games have been a serious raider. Not in this game, but on others like WoW, SWTOR etc. So when I go into a trial or dung or whatever, I know what the fuck I'm doing. I got too much shit that needs doin to be wasting my time wiping on stuff I know -I- am capable of beating. And so it infuriates me to no end when people cant learn simple mechanics. Content that has been out for months now, and people are still just running into a brick wall head first and hoping for the best. That's not how shit works, most places have mechanics, and if you cant do them, you fail. In short, I'm glad it was nerfed, and would rather it be dumbed down so that for those who can't perform the most basic of tasks wont prevent me from getting my daily and gtfo.

Had commissioned Threshthesky on Deviant Art (http://threshthesky.deviantart.com/) to draw the Agron Twins. Very happy with how it turned out, though i had no doubt i would be pleased. Her previous work has always been perfection.

So..I'm trying to get the Storm Blue color and nothing seems to be working. I keep flipping between Royal Blue and Abyssal Blue. I've used the color calculator online, as well as the graph I've seen displayed and nothing seems to be working >.> it seems to skip the step needed to get Storm Blue. Anyone have the color and know how to obtain it?

Overall I'm excited about them and will for sure make one when they are released, I'm glad they made it a "dragon/hyur" mix instead of another "fluffy cutesy" race. But if I'm going to be nit picky I do see others point on how the men look too much like Elezen and the females miqo'te. They should have given the males less of a "elezen long neck" and more of a muscular and or "cardassian" kind of neck. But we will see, still excited regardless!

So I'm hoping someone here is tech savy and can help me figure out whats going on with my new computer and FF14. I just yesterday purchased a new computer with specs: I7 Processor @ 4.00GHZ Nvidia Gforce GTX 970 Graphics Card 16 GB Memory And I'm having problems with some of the graphics in game. MOST of it seems to be working just fine, I took my character out of the Goblet and into other area's, went to limsa and stood at the top floor looking down and didnt experience the issue. In fact the problem seems to be limited to VERY long distance views OR cloud graphics.. happened in Coerthas as well. Anyone have any idea what is going on or how to fix this?

The thing with 1-star gathering is that for the most part they're in some demand, but practically every gatherer rushes towards that, and most crafters will also have grinded to get to 50 gathering. In my case, I tend to either gather until I have just enough or straight up keep reserves when it's something like darksteel/gold (my other gathering classes are at 44/40) If you've got Fishing and Alchemy to a high enough level, Shark Oil is selling around for 6.5k a pop, and is necessary for several recipes in leves and level 50 entry-level (Militia offhands, for example). Thanks for the replies will definitely be looking into the popular items more often. So long as they don't get major undercuts like the sealants have >.> *stabs the person that undercut everyone by 35k*!

Thanks for the input and just bought 3 sealants hopefully they sell..if they do I know what to farm! The Xelphatol springwater is going for about 150k too so if the sealant doesnt sell ill try that out

So I'm hoping to get some insight from some of the more wealthy players here on the best way to make gil. I need it so that I can purchase the medium house in Gridania (plot rather) that I'm after next patch, and I'm assuming I will need the 37k up front since houses don't last but for the first minute in game. I'm currently sitting on 5mil and that was made solely on leveling 5 50's and running my daily roulettes (mainly expert and trial on each toon). Now here is the situation. I realize that if you want to do the 3-4 star crafting you need to be 50 on every class on one character. And I plan to do that someday >.>. However here is my current situation. Prior to finding out just how anti alt this game is (which is entire BS IMO). I set certain characters to certain jobs as thus. Toon 1: Blacksmith/Armorsmith (44/44) Toon 2: Weaver/Culinarian (48/40) Toon 3: Carpenter/Leatherworker (37/38) Toon 4: Alchemy/Goldsmith (30/30) But for now I'm focusing at two on a time (not trying to power level all the classes). I DO have all the gathering classes at 50 with HQ gear (minus the accessories). So I'm able to farm the 1 star items, but those don't SEEM to sell for much. And I can't get the accessories because they require dematieria (but ton expensive on market) Though from what a friend told me I just need to demateria Brass Ring for the lvl 1 stuff to make my gathering accessories. Also I've been using the Ixal dailys along with the GC daily turn ins to level my crafting. Everyone once in awhile I do the leves (though that seems to get hella expensive when you don't have the mats.) Anyway, if you were in my situation, where would you go from here >.>. Like I said I know eventually I need to get to 50 on ONE toon. But what would you do with what I got now? Any insight would be lovely.

With "hot topics" like this it's always best to do your homework on the subject, that way you know exactly what you should and should not do. For most roleplayers it will all boil down to how you play the echo out, etc. If your shouting to the world that you have the echo, and you know how to use it, oh and your all powerful then chances are people will give you some shiznit. But if your subtle about the power, and have your character not fully understand it, or even better not have control over it then you shouldn't run into too many lore hawks. But I've always been a firm believer in playing what you want so long as it doesn't bring lore crashing down on everyone. I'll admit that when I start roleplaying on my White Mage, she will in fact be roleplayed as a White Mage despite some people's butt hurt on the issue. But I won't be announcing it to the world, hell she probably will never say it in character as I can't recall a time when IC Caleb was asked..."Whats your job?". But to those who have an understanding of Succor and how it works, they might realize the she is using it on her own free will, and not "asking/praying" to the elementals for it. Anyway my 2 cents

Humm I need to keep up with these forums more often, glad this has been kept civil and mature. So Sex and my character/roleplay, alright I'll share my and Caleb's views. Caleb's: For starters Caleb is a sexual person, though not to the extent that Berrod is. He enjoys sex and thinks its a completely natural way to express how you feel about someone. His sexuality isn't limited to one way or the other, he swings both ways and enjoys both the female and male forms, though his tastes in the sexes differ greatly. With males he prefers those who can challenge him physically, enjoying the struggle for dominance, which is why he and Berrod have such a good time in the sheets. As Berrod mentioned their sexualities are very alike in regards to dominance so it's a clash of the titans both in and out of bed. And while neither like being dominated, it somehow works out for them in a natural 50/50 way. With females he enjoys the chase, preferring those who are shy/quiet and make him work for their attention. Blond's in particular catch his eye, though none of these preferences has prevented him from appreciating females who don't fit any of the above descriptions. As mentioned before his character is not as driven by sex as Berrod is, but he is a man and he has needs. Now if only he could find some shame! :lol: Mine: So my views on ERP have evolved over the years and games, it's actually interesting now that I think of it. I started roleplaying way back in my World of Warcraft years as a female human mage. The focus of my roleplay tended to be more battle/story oriented and I don't think my character was ever approached in a relationship way. At least I can't remember her being approached. Then there was City of Heroes /City of Villains (Amazing game and I hope the talk of them bringing it back or giving it a reboot is true! would be a fun "off game" to this one!) Again much like WoW it was more super hero focused, though I did explore the friendship stuff a little more in depth. From there I went to Star Wars TOR, this is where my RP skills were really pushed and improved by a guild called The Republic Order. Shout out to my TOR friends! This group really helped me develop my RP skills and this is where my character really got into the more friendship driven RP. Though as a Jedi, she was very non sexual because of obvious reasons! Really miss the game...well not the game so much as my old RP buddies , wish I could convince them to come to FF! Then there was FF that again pushed me to improve my RP skills (that can always use improvement). I found a great group or roleplayers, started roleplaying and Caleb's relationship with Berrod just sort of happened. I'm now old enough and mature enough to appreciate the finer points of RP and view ERP as just another extension of character depth. I think it adds something to a character that you can't get otherwise, though I understand and respect others decision to not partake in it. I also understand that people who "RP" solely for ERP ends aren't actually roleplaying, they are cybering and those are two very different things.
