1. Have they confirmed that there is actually a Duskwight noble house? Considering that Duskwight aren't native to Ishgard (as they're relatively young as a clan compared to Elezen as a whole, and came a far bit past the genesis of Ishgard) and they're not listed as being present (in general) anywhere but the Shroud in the lore book. Not saying there isn't, I'm actually asking what the whole authority of that is? ON TOPIC, however, if you are looking for someone to RP with, my main could potentially be of some use to you. He is a somewhat estranged Ishgardian noble who is currently residing in the Shroud, essentially living off of his skills as an artisan. You can let me know if you wish to discuss it any further!
2. I do not see why not! Understandably, most FCs can be a commitment, and leaving can often be a bit tricky and complex. While we are just kind of starting to get the ball rolling and would welcome more amongst the ranks, other people are welcome to come and audition or contribute! So long as you are willing to invest the time, we'd love to have you a part of things in one way or another!
3. Everyone has a story to tell… Are you the knight loyal to his nation and his liege lord? Are you the scholar lost within her tomes and research? How about the magister with taint coercing you to exact vengeance on your worst enemies? Or mayhap you are the priest desperately seeking faith and freedom from persecution. Yet, you could also be the bard with the song within his heart. Mayhap you are one of these roles, or mayhap you hold the potential to be them all. You can never truly know the answer without seeking it out for yourself. Step upon the stage of the Moulin Rouge, a charitable and non-profit organization consisting of artists and performers of variety. ____________________________________________ [ Moulin Rouge (aka TART) is recruiting new members! Please see the following and note that none of the positions actually require any kind of prior experience, but it’d likely be a boon if you have some! ♦ Actors / Actresses / Performers ♦ Stagehands ♦ Costume Designers ♦ Security ♦ Public Relations / Networking ♦ Other Various Fields (i.e., Writing Assistants, etc.) Performing positions require an audition, so bring your best creativity and your own material. Moulin Rouge’s current performing venue is located in the Lavender Beds - Ward 3; Plot 31 (by the Lavender South Subdivision aetheryte). Feel free to come on by and take a look, though don’t mind us as we are currently in the process of potential redecorating. If interested, or you’d like to know more, seek out the esoteric Trisselle Ganathain or the most-recently broody Devereau Beauregard. We don’t bite! (Well, I don’t. I can’t speak for him.) ]
4. I would have had to murder you if you picked the hair colour in the first Elezen choice, it is too close to -mine-. That said though, the lighter skin can be interesting for some RP dynamic, depending on how you want to play it. In most places (Ishgard aside, but for no shortage of other prejudices,) the two Elezen clans are typically at contention with each other. In Gridania especially, you see a lot of racism directed towards Duskwight for often being unsavoury and being unknown, with their resistance and aversion to larger settlements. With lighter skin, one could use that to their advantage in blending in, or even just resent it. That said, I kind wish I saw more tension played out between the two clans in RP. I can understand why it's a bit touchy to deal with, though.
5. "Devereau Beauregard, treating kittens like that is getting you coal in your stocking this year." Well shit, it isn't -wrong-.
6. Hey, I know it's all a huge pain. It's suffering that everyone who wants to come over tends to go through. SE could probably use some better solutions to the issue, but there are a few options. Not the most pleasant, but: 1. You could make a character on another server, and transfer over Balmung for $18 USD. Bit of a price tag, and the character has to be 72 hours old before it is eligible for transfer, HOWEVER, the cost will allow you to move EVERY character up to 8 on a single server for that one cost. Best to make all the alts you want at the same time if you choose this option. 2. Keep trying to catch an open window. They generally shut based on current server volume. Knowing that, after a crash or maintenance, directly after, there is a short window you can create characters in. Best to have a visual profile and name all sorted out before you do this so you don't miss the window. Balmung is the most active RP server currently. Gilgamesh is significantly more lowkey, but choose accordingly! I would recommend Balmung. Best of luck, whatever you choose, however!
7. ...is your necklace lighting up cause that is some gypsy magic. Also I will post a picture of myself again. Someday. -Someday-.
8. Generally, if you are looking up stable facts and frequently questioned details, looking up any of the discussions or official posts with Fernhawles is the way to go. That's the guy essentially in charge of those little creative differences. He will also occasionally answer what he can in official forums without giving away spoilers or stuff under wraps. There are generally a few passionate discussions flipping around Tumblr if you ever want to dig, but stuff does usually get sanctioned into race-specific channels, from my experience. Oh, and if you're a really patient man, or have a very patient friend, or are able to find someone who has done this, levequest details are a veritable goldmine of curios. Crafters (omnicrafters, max level) tend to have access to the most. Sounsyy around here also seems to know a great deal of you're floundering too.
9. I really hope this turns out good. The frightening thing with games such as this that have been sitting about desired for...what, 14 years? People get pretty high expectations, even if it's not entirely intended. Really hoping its great though. Might be a bit easier for it to be, since there's at least the gaping hole where a conclusion needs to be wedged in.
10. Suddenly Devereau dedicated his life to the study of aether, if only for the sake of sparks and wind manipulation. I'll let you know when he accidentally burns his house down.
11. This is one of those times I wish I had Soylent. I guess a box of protein bars will have to suffice.
12. I'm not sure if this answers your question completely, but typically, on large patch drops, at some point after start of maintenance but before completion, usually somewhere around the half way point, upon attempting to log in, it allows you to start downloading the actual patch content. I'm thinking that the data will download for everyone, since gear and levels will need to be visible to all people, regardless of early access or expansion ownership. Of course I can't say anything for sure since this is the first expansion. Hopefully this helps a bit?
13. Like many, I could go for cloaks and capes and the like. However, I do also have a strange want for a nifty aesthetic for handheld items. Fans, parasols, stupid fanfare like that.
14. 11/10, 100% accurate depiction, even down to the duck lips. I think this fixed everything.
15. I will trade quality goods and entertainment for an amusing doodle. I always deliver.
16. I will have to prod you and perhaps huff money for a little thing quite soon! I hadn't realized you were commissioning over here!
17. Gods, did you see them when they were all crafting? It was the weirdest, most awful thing.
18. Banned for thinking other people are more pretty than I.
19. Dev could be about convinced to find anyone of either gender to be mesmerizing, should they hold his attention long enough to persuade him as such. However, should he be drawn to appearances, he would more than like gravitate towards to fairer sex (figuatively, I know) and would find himself most enthralled by those whom he towers over, or is overshadowed by. Most likely demure Midlander women or Roe women who make him feel short for once. Mind you, he has veered from this quite often. He does tend to value lithe beauty over overmuscular gruff appearances in most cases, though.
20. That is a really cool idea, and a good way of practicing and feeling out a particular deck, if that is something you find yourself in need of. If you are in need of fodder, I would be happy to participate. I know such things take effort and time as well, and I would be happy to work out at least some means of gratitude in game. I will see if I can get a hold of you!

22. If you are just starting out, I would recommend a Skill build. This game is VERY much more offensive and fast paced than its predecessors. While dying doesn't feel QUITE as punishing as the other games, they did go back to classic check mark styles, so you are going to have to reclear unlike some that seemed to have bonfires scattered like 7-11s (lookin at you DS2.) I was a little shield and spear magic bitch so I am like, caught on the second boss, but holy shit I like this way better than the others. Especially the theme. My only anger comes from my shitty inability to play it well enough to see more of it. There IS magic, but I would recommend saving arcane builds for something like, second play throughs. The magic type weapons equip on your gun slot and consume bullets. Some are pretty bloody epicly powerful from what I hear though. Not worth first go around speced though. To be honest, I screwed around with the character editor so much. Aptly named my character Devereau because I am awful.
23. It is 7:30am and I have not slept. My life is suffering. Or as Jan once heard me say, "Oh what the Hell, the sun is out? God, that shit is whack."
