    I think opposition is the wrong word It would be a bad idea for a player-based group of merchants to get on the bad side of the Syndicate, but the chance of that happening adds a little tension!

    If you mean the 90 minute count down, that's just how long you have till the bonus rewards are revoked. It doesn't kick you from the instance when the timer runs out. Are you sure it? It used to (I know from personal experience)

    Unfortunately, you are probably out of luck. RP seems to be heavily concentrated on Balmung and Gilgamesh. Both servers should open up for character creation at off-peak hours every day (this may be a 3-5 AM type deal, unfortunately). See this thread for some recent discussion about it.
