I've honestly thought about quitting posting anything RP related here because of that. No sense in busting my ass if no one cares.
-
GIVE. ME. REQUIREMENTS. I need to know iLevel for Void Ark, for Islands and for 3.1 MSQ. I refuse to get more hype until those are revealed.
-
Which I've seen exactly that before. Ah, you have encountered a very (not) rare specimen of catgirl futa.

Different reactions to different events. Light-hearted I'll pop back up, might be dazed if it's a big hit or rule of funny. THE MOST SERIOUS OF RPs - Scarring if it makes sense, accelerated assisted mending, etc.

balmung Postmoogle Delivery Service - Now in Hyur form
Kellach Woods replied to Kellach Woods's topic in Chronicled Connections
Updooting because schedule change. I'm available in the evenings now. -
On a scale of 1-10? 10 for the first questline, off the charts for the rest.
-
I just do what I want. And what I want is to be a bumbling fool with flashes of brilliance.

the quiz is bad because it's buzzfeed, not because the concept is shit like most of you seem to be saying. lessee... "I am white." - Wouldn't count in non-white countries. Applicable only to Western Europe/NA mostly and even then. Anything related to white people is effectively disqualified unless the test specifically mentions that it's only targeting NA/Europe/Australia/South Africa (the country) as a whole. i mean sure it's implicit, but if you want to make a more international flavor of that kinda test they already ask better questions for this. "I have never been told I am attractive “for my race.”" - Bad. If you've never been told you're attractive you won't see the problem the same way as someone who has and it changes the meaning of the question completely. "I have never been told I “sound white.”" - bad.com but not for the same reasons - i'm white af and i've been told i sound white several times. this is an issue of the test being trash. "I have never been called “fag.”" "I have never been called “dyke.”" "I have never been called a “fairy,” or any other derogatory slur for homosexuals." - first question - if you've ever visited the internet chances are you have been called that slur. whoops. second question is disqualified if you're a dude (technically, the first question is disqualified if you're a cisgendered woman which possesses less privilege than cisgendered men so already the test is shoddily made.) Skipping the rape section but i have thoughts about it. to make a long story short, there's too much implications on the public perception of woman victims (as in, how the media portrays rape rather than the more current discussions on rape) when the section should be about whether you were abused or not. "I have never gone to bed hungry." - I understand what they want to say here except... I HAVE GONE TO BED HUNGRY. OUT OF CHOICE. BECAUSE OF LAZINESS. THIS TEST IS TRASH DOT COM. It's funny 'cause the rest of the test past these glaring holes isn't bad other than the fact that its horribly weighted but come the fuck on. then again this is fucking buzzfeed they just decided to throw a bunch of shit up and figured "THAT'LL GET SOME CLICKS". like the exercise would be interesting! had it been done properly * * * "pls remove your curtains we're having the windows changed friday morning" k sure no probs that sounds like a grand old time i'll do that thursday evening when i come back from work and i have more time to do so because they aren't the easiest curtains to remove sound good yes great. "oh btw we're doing it at 7 AM thursday and we're just gonna leave a note on your door not knowing when you return from work obviously it'll be fine right?" UMMMMMMMM btw : i leave to go to work at 6:20 AM i'll pull them back but i'm not removing them. they want them removed they can do it themselves.

Are too many people "Fearless"?

At the same time, we both know Berrod would laugh and absolutely love the opportunity to weave a tale making this plausible. -

If that's the case, why Raubahn/Ilberd? They could have a regular fight instead of what we got. I don't think Aldis/Leavold even got close to that. Hell, even the Scions get in on the action of everyone gets a giant powerboost in 2.55. Then again, it's one of those things that I personally think what makes the WoL, the WoL isn't so much how powerful he is but just how goddamned protected he is. With enough dedication and the right circumstances, anyone can be as powerful as the WoL as most of what the WoL will use in regular fights is class/job training. They, however, will never reach the level of invincibility that he's shown (unless their name is JOHN CENA but I digress for the sake of a cheap joke). Just the fact that he can't be tempered or drowned helps immensely, but then he goes on overcoming obstacles after obstacles to show just how impossible it is to actually kill him (and even then I'm pretty sure if they did kill him the WoL'd just find a way to come back from the lifestream because reasons). But yea. -
I don't mark because the controls for that aren't intuitive and I trust my DPS to actually pay attention to what they're doing. I also don't tank relevant content.

Friends In High (and Low) Places [RP Development Questionnaire]
Kellach Woods replied to Ignacius's topic in RP Discussion
Strictly for Kell Gridania: Though not entirely unknown, as he's been seen walking around the city a few times. They view him as mostly yet another outsider, thus worthy of shunning. Doubly so because the conjurers do not trust him, even with the actual Hearers consulted being told there's nothing wrong with his acts in the Shroud so far. Those who have interacted with him will say that he's a good guide through the shroud for trade caravans, as he attempts to steer them away from situations where they'd have to kill something off limits. The Twin Snakes and the Wood Wailers are wary of him, but recognize that he's served a decent enough service to Gridania by seeking to guide other outsiders in avoiding the Elementals' ire. Limsa Lominsa: This is where he first appeared and where he first got his start. A former member in good standing of the Blacksmith, Marauder, Arcanist, Fishing and Culinarian guilds (not at the same time), he's been seen as a relatively happy-go-lucky fellow who's quite touched in the head. Many of the city's seedier elements steer a wide path due to lack of perceived value in face of a high risk - Especially after the feat of leading an expedition through Nymian ruins, living to tell the tale. A few will have seen his bouts of "genius" over copying the crafts of certain items effortlessly, as well as other shenanigans that involved him. He holds no standing within the Maelstrom, but has a few contacts in the Yellowjackets themselves, drinking buddies who inadvertantly press ganged him in joining the marauders' guild at first. Ul'dah: While he has no real love for the city, it's the city with the most trade, thus the most opportunities to make coin as a trade caravan escort. He has vandalized posters in the city before, and most there wonder why he keeps his mask on at all times. Throughout the traders, he is recognized as a fairly efficient caravan escort, though one of weak business sense. In short, they believe they're taking advantage of him, and they're quite happy about it. The Garruleous Gossiper claims that Kellach has performed many a grand feat using all sorts of skills learned from every Eorzean guild, but nobody likes that guy anyway. The Immortal Flames are too busy to care about a masked guy who looks like a gladiator. Few in Ul'dah would recognize him by sight. Much less if he has his mask off (even though he's probably the darkest midlander around). Ishgard: Outsider. Watched by the Inquisition. If he opens his mouth about the Elements, he'll be tried and executed as a heretic. Revenant's Toll: If anyone knows him there, it'd be the crazy man with the story about a Morbol that talked, the time he crossed the Coerthas Highlands in nothing but a subligar and some leather straps and the fool behind the worst dish in the history of Hydaelyn - the Morbol Salad. The Adventurers' guild likes him well enough as he, beyond a few hilarious anecdotes, does not shame the guild much. Rowena cares not for his antics. Idyllshire: Gobbiefriends bestfriends! While Kellach has visited Idyllshire only once, he has helped out the goblins and spoke to them before. He's regarded as a stand-up guy, one who seeks to further the ideals of Idyllshire as a place where all can live together in friendship and harmony. -

I wasn't planning on paying 'em 18 bucks to congratulate them on running the games on toasters anyway -
Getting into Balmung - Not Happening Indefinitely.

Like, it feels it's a relic from 2010 (was it 2010 when XIV first came out? I'm not sure) that, even back then, was outdated. I still pay 'em don't get me wrong (though I'm kind of burned out and I entirely blame HW for that) but it feels weird that this is happening today, y'know? -

While technical, this doesn't answer the question which was why. It explains why it has to be this way, not why they made it this way in the first place. Historically, I can't think of any MMO that's had such a long standing lock on any given server in terms of character creation. Now, I could see it in the case of accounts that don't already have a character on the server because that would add +1 to the potential number of characters on the server, but people who already do? I can't exactly log on as Kell and Sati at the same time, y'know. -
How to get the 58 to 59 Grind go faster
Kellach Woods replied to Desu Nee's topic in FFXIV Discussion
If you can melt all three real fast, then the 130k is worth it. If not, let it be - the Qiqirn Earring isn't worth the hassle. -

Kellach Woods replied to -no longer matters-'s topic in RP Discussion
Fearless, no? Stupid? Most likely. "he ain't worth a chocobo's dung watch me just kick him in the gil pouch and he'll fall like all men" *kicks, performs an Anderson Silva on himself onto the very well protected nards, is now naked, drunk and has a broken leg* -

So the few of you who know me likely know that I have a 3:30 PM to 11:30 PM Eastern schedule these days (and likely until the end of November - we're not counting the overtime like this weekend). This is pretty much prime-time for finding absolutely no RP with people as I'm smack dab in the middle of Europeans about to leave work and America folks being all at work like. As such I'm leaving this here - whether you need a random mime, a hyur postmoogle, etc. after midnight eastern or prior to 2:30 PM eastern I'm available. Right now I can't RP with most my contacts and let's be real it's not like I had many to begin with. -
How to get the 58 to 59 Grind go faster
Kellach Woods replied to Desu Nee's topic in FFXIV Discussion
Because the playerbase are fucking idiots when it comes to smart FATEing. Even prior to the FATE boost, Churning Mists and up were superior to Northern Than, yet you still have idiots at level 55+ grinding in NThan. -
The Screenshot Thread [Tag Your Spoilers]
Kellach Woods replied to Zyrusticae's topic in FFXIV Discussion
Nah. tl;dr - a monk once got shipwrecked, landed on the island back when they still hunted stuff, taught the natives some things before he left. they split from the main nation and formed two tribes, bear and roc both using the basics of what the monk taught them, then learning from their respective animals. fearing for their safety (and being dicks), the main nation sold them out to slave traders, wiping out the two tribes and leaving their history unknown until Kell's brother found out more about them. Since the two things he knows is the name of the tribe and that they had to kill a Roc naked to pass the rite to adulthood, this is his interpretation of the outfit they had to have. The Talons just look cool and are related to that, so I used them. -

If you're going for challenge bonus then sure, it's significant, but it should be stated. The actual roulette bonus is nothing.
-
You know why they call them Free Paladins? 'cause you don't have to pay 'em! Thank you, thank you, try the veal. This has been your regularly scheduled post making fun of ul'dah greed. * * * Essentially what they said - I'd personally aim for your own style to distance yourself from the Sultanate visually, calling attention to your free paladin status.

Guildhest Roulette is a complete waste of time, the bonus never scales beyond level 15. It's only first-time completion of a guildhest that's worth anything.
