  1. It's silly, but with the way they've set up the story they will require some grinding at 50 in order to access Heavensward, just to finish the MSQ.
  2. never bothered with the EXes. guess I should just to learn them
  3. Honestly if I were to monk it up in this instance I'd ask for a cannon position - less of a chance to screw up rotation and I can probably be more useful that way.
  4. I wanted to write a bug report just to spite you but instead, as I have been in that situation this past week, have an internet hug. It really sucks when you're staring at someone's workrate and they're dropping balls all over that you have to pick up. (I think the worst part I had to deal with was doing a check that requires 10 active computers to do with only 4 people and being more efficient than if we had 10 people)
  5. im fat. honestly I really should get back on the actually doing something train. my weight actually fluctuates a lot when I do exercise (like I've oscillated between 235-300 for the major part of my 20s). The problem is that much like writing I have zero motivation about doing something at home, outside costs money, and I have a LOT of problems psychologically, none of this shit being conductive to doing anything about it. I'd probably have to aim for warrior (NO ONE SAW THAT COMING) because of my club feet ruining anything having to do with running, and stationary bikes bore me.
  6. Maybe it won't be mixed by a person sensible of hearing and I'll be able to ACTUALLY HEAR IT. I'm not a fan of the pop-rock sound, but I'm willing to give it a chance. I just hated the transition and the fact that I could scarcely hear it. Later someone confirmed that they were the post-signature attack themes if they had any. So you get Under the Weight for the earth pony, etc. * * * I also play MMOs because I like the idea of a ton of people doing the same thing, interacting with one another. Then they say something in chat, and I realize I really don't like people all that much.
  7. THE ADORABLENESS IS REAL. Welcome from a fellow midlander to another.
  8. I'm not arguing it's hard, I'm arguing that even in its nerfed state it'll still be an annoying instance that's just not worth doing. To do that they'd need : 1) Rewards. (Because why would I waste 10-30 minutes of my time doing something for nothing? Everything else in the game has rewards, why not this?) 2) No returns (because THAT slows down the fight and is the only way I could imagine resets being made before Vishap reaches the end.) If they fix those, it'll be worth doing again.
  9. One shot mechanics? Not exactly - One shot means fight reset. This doesn't reset, which is the major problem with it. Honestly feel like they should not have allowed the multiple returns but y'know.
  10. Yeah, but you can bypass a lot of them now. It being part of MSQ is asking for new players/alts to be blocked by it if it hadn't been nerfed. I think this nerf might also have been in part because of that. Giving an incentive would probably be better, but y'know.
  11. If it gets too heated I'll just gtfo. No sense in going personal with people I'll interact with on a regular basis. * * * Never met them, but they're identifying themselves to Sun Tzu and that's always a good thing in my book.
  12. Sexiest lalafell in the history of XIV? You bet your sweet ass. Even beats a certain 2.55 lala.
  13. Some have said it in this topic even. The problem with that is that, honestly, raid mechanics ain't even that complex. It's pretty much a multiple person Press X To Not Die.
  14. The biggest problem with SoF was what Leggerless said above. It would have worked fine if people could, y'know, actually get something out of it. Hell, run it like you did Odin where you can get stuff that's outdated and obviously for glamour purposes! And yeah... not only that but you have to sit through at least 30 seconds of cutscene and seeing duty failed that are COMPLETELY UNSKIPPABLE. Just that was enough for me to say fuck this. For those of you arguing that it's a good intro-to-raid mechanics, I'd say it's an extremely poor one. Because in a raid, if you fail the mechanics, you die, womp womp you get to try again. in SoF if you fail, you get to WATCH EVERYTHING GET DESTROYED, WASTE A TON OF TIME, SEE DUTY FAILED AND THEN START ANEW. Which is a lot more infuriating than just butting heads against a brick wall because you can't just go "okay we fucked up this failed, this succeeded let's get back in there!"
  15. dis guy's so driven be doesn't even post a compliment. Now that's dedication! Yeah sorry yesterday my computer went kaboom. I fixed it but I need to reinstall everything which, let's be real here, isn't very pleasant.
  16. clio has a ton of coeurl bikinis. she makes them all look good
  17. so my internet is dead as fuck, my computer crashes on windows boot and I have no idea why. if it's my new vid card that did this I will be very unhappy. EDIT : INTERNET HAS RETURNED, vid card still wonky, but downgraded to an earlier driver and everything seems fine... SOMEHOW. So, my guess is that the newest driver from nvidia does not like playing old ass games that are insultingly archaic in design (witcher 1)
  18. IIRC there was an academic that did a study here about public workers' union protesting success and population approval rating, and saw there was zero correlation between the two. In short, public opinion doesn't matter as to whether your protest works because chances are the moment you started protesting (regardless of method) they were against you anyway. also don't think i've ever seen a peaceful protest actually yield anything of interest in the past 20 years but y'know i could be wrong. nor have i seen a peaceful protest get continuous media coverage as well. a protest gets a day, maybe. a riot gets weeks. nothing new under the sun tho.
  19. see kurt around ignore kurt go directly to nako do not pass go do not collect 200 gil
  20. goddammit nako i did NOT want to go to ishgard to freeze my nuts off so i can axe off a buddy.
  21. If Ishgard's open for business, someone will want to carry goods up there and back. And not have these goods be attacked by bandits, dravinians or other ne'er-do-wells. Perhaps the person who's package Kellach is carrying lies beyond the Steps of Judgement.
  22. Kudos to Meena for running the Gridania social.
  23. Kellach would blink - Isn't that magic long lost to time? Why does this spell look suspiciously like Shadowflare except with a whole lot more fire in it? Where did he learn this assuming he's just not the only black mage left? Is this something he should be aware of for his continued survival? He'd also ask if the mage needs an escort to wherever he's going.
  24. being a rp contrarian that wants to roll concepts that the community really can't stand i guess. (Roe ninja and future canon pal/whm lala)
