  1. As I said in the other thread, Swift's dialogue leads me to believe that he'd be checking leads on any potentially-loyal current or former Flames, so that's an in at least for Ganale. Tahz is too busy with his mentor in Coerthas (maybe) dying at the Steps of Faith, Chao has her own shit to deal with right now, and none of my Domans have a dog in that fight.
  2. The Sultana is definitely dead. Jenylns says that "even he isn't granted an audience" which means he doesn't know. He's been fed the lie of her death as 'sickness' and bought it. As far as RPers go, Swift's statement that "You doubtless burn to act - to see justice served. So do we all." says to me that he's pissed underneath his exterior as well, and I can easily see that he'd be reaching out to trusted current or former members of the Flames to let them know what's happened. Because I can see open warfare coming and I'm sure he can too.
  3. ...Good thing I'm a nobody with most of my wikis being half-finished.
  4. It says a lot that I, being the biggest pessimist around, still have more faith in this than most around here. If even one person has their RP broadened by this event, I am relatively certain that Erik will consider it a complete and utter success.
  5. Says right there. EDIT: -Looks at wonky coding- ....Meh. Point got across. EDIT2: Also, flag on bullshit. It's not all big FCs. I don't even recognize half the FCs in that list.
  6. I kind of rely on the fact that a lot of the time Chao sits around on her level 13 ACN to have the book, so people have a natural tendency to assume that's the extent of her power, so I always have the trump card of punching their face in or exploding them with a fireball that they don't expect if things go sideways.
  7. I had immediately taken the phrasing "settle issues" (actual phrasing) to refer to any issues that one FC may have with another. Which is still a far cry from the implications being thrown around that some sort of mafia-esque league of FC nations is the goal here. And that's saying a lot considering I'm easily the most pessimistic person around that is most likely to jump to conclusions of nefarious activity on others' parts.
  8. Garon is basically my version of Jango/Boba Fett. Chao and Yuuna, duh. The source of Ghost should be obvious. Ganale is almost literally just me. R'tahz is the goody-two-shoes version of me, Seno is based largely on both Samurai Warriors and Sengoku Basara versions of Date Masamune, and Cres is just an older RO character I imported.
  9. Because despite the way the game punishes alts, I stillhave more than eight characters with wildly different personalities, histories, and play opportunities that I can fit into this setting and want to play.
  10. Yep, that's why I now have to bum-rush 7 full characters through MSQ, three of them not even 50 yet.
  11. But it's an instance we're doomed to fail anyway. And given that failure is without question the outcome, how are they going to explain our characters not dying horribly in the defense of the bridge? Unless they put us in the body of Random Mook #327. That could be fun.
  12. Chao's would stand out because she would normally post at least three times a day, but her latest one would be four days old (today) and be a picture of some dead Garlean assassins in the Drowning Wench with the caption, "Catch me if you can, bucketheads."
  13. ...Knew someone was going to eventually pull the Titan. I will be doing doses since I have like six characters associated with mecha in some fashion. I'll lead with the one that's most OP and liable to earn me rolled eyes. Pilot Name: Chris Ganale (or whomever else I feel like shoving in it at the time) Mecha Name: XXXG-01S Stryker Gundam (alternatively: GMF14-11NG2 Streich Gundam) Mecha Type: Gundam Source: Mobile Suit Gundam Wing/G Gundam Loadout: 1x twin buster rifle, 1x hyper saber, 1x plasma heat rod, 2x CIWS Vulcan Description: The Stryker begins with the base body of OZ-13MS Epyon colored a darker maroon with its sensor lenses being a dark indigo blue in color. The vernier engines of Epyon have been replaced with the wing-like verniers of the XXXG-00W0 Wing Gundam ZERO Custom, the left set retaining their white color while the right set is now colored black. Designed for maximum destructive capacity at all ranges, the appearance of the Stryker is meant to intimidate its foes, an effort seemingly wasted by the use of the ZERO Custom's wing verniers. Its combat abilities speak for itself, however, between the fast-recharging twin buster rifle, the ability of both the hyper saber and the heat rod to defeat Gundanium, and the near-precognitive benefits of the ZERO Advance system. The hyper saber is notable not only for its cutting power, but also the EM effect it releases on strikes, the ionization behind which has the side effect of generating severe thunderstorms in atmosphere.
  14. Ganale's Element is Earth, has been for as long as he's been a character, which is actually longer than I've been RPing. Even across the six or eight incarnations of him, he's always been Earth-aspected, and when in one of the settings where it gives him actual powers, he smiles when someone comes against him with fire or lightning. In FF, being Earth-aspected saved his life when he came up against a powered-up Titan-egi that hit him with its Earthen Fury (or whatever the SMN version is called). Chao is Fire, but that's mostly a product of her original setting, where she was from Mars and had the most powerful fire spells in the setting. In FF, her slant toward fire messes up the whole Astral Fire/Umbral Ice thing. Yuuna doesn't have a specified element, but she had wind and fire magic in her other setting to reflect her hyperactivity and favoring of fast but strong attacks. Seno doesn't have a set element, which is kind of odd. But his Shinmei has a lot of different element-based attacks in its list. Ghost and Garon are largely non-elemental. Tahz I haven't come up with one for.
  15. This is so a problem for me, with eight characters now in various stories, three needing to make it to 50 before Heavensward, and those three plus three more needing to get through MSQ so they can get their new jobs as soon as 3.0 hits, I have practically zero time to RP. It hurts me so, but Yuuna, Garon, and Ghost need their shiny guns they've had all along. And not one of them is even to 50 yet, let alone caught up to story. I guess it's wound up being backhandedly fortunate that my characters with big RP stories are mostly privatized matters around the few people in my FC and are, for the most part, in a holding pattern waiting for Heavensward. Chao is the one character who is in stories with people outside my main group, and it kills me that I never have the time to play on her. I'm sure her Science Comrade thinks I'm actively snubbing her. Hell, a lot of times at work now I find myself regretting that I've made so many characters because I don't have time to do anything 'fun' with them outside of grinding for stuff.
  16. None of my three gun-users will have any drones. They're all soldier-esque types first with just the guns. Chao will play around with autonomous drones, but that's a different field because she is an engineer and not a proper gunner, so she'll have the drones but not the guns.
  17. It is true that I want to do MSQ with both Yuuna and Ghost as gunners because those are their primary combat arms fields, but dammit, if I'm not able to... /sigh I'll just put up with it.
  18. I want to say TOR did that with Hutt Cartel expansion. But my main was already 50 and had cleared main story anyway.
  19. Well, Iceheart can't get me. Because I've already been got, lulz.
  20. Because I have a misguided confidence I can get on Iceheart's good side.
  21. Random disclaimer: I only threaten people with beatdowns from character if they've been a dick first.
  22. That is.....far more accurate than it has any business being. Dammit.
