  1. My turn! With my first real event, I'm glad to finally be able to list some names here! My descriptions are a bit long, but it's usually because there's some good reasons for the level they're at. I don't think I'd consider putting 0's on the list, unless if it became so common to RP with them. Otherwise, to me a 0 would be 'just an ordinary person that you see once in a while'. I'll keep a small database of people who I RP with to keep track, just in case I change my mind =P Since these members (aside from Shurin) haven't been heard from on Molt, they're seperate and reflect the last time Molt RP'd with them. These are all contacts from Order of the Stormguard: These are recent RP's, though Sienna (to my understanding) is dead =(
  2. oo, what a fun game! Love to claim a spot for next time :cactuar:
  3. Very Nice, as if I weren't excited enough as it was!
  4. Hey there! Welcome back, but I hate to break the news, the servers are coming down in November and are probably coming up no sooner than sometime in January. BUT! Never fear, it's for the best, because A Realm Reborn will be taking this game's place, and I gotta tell you, it will be worth the wait. If you're still having financial difficulties, it will at least give you time to build up the funds. On a related note, check out the Legacy Campaign if you qualify/are able to get the qualifications for it, I recommend paying for the last 30 days to reap the benefits, like reduced monthly fees! Even not, this can give you plenty of time to work on a story. More or less, they're treating the current game date as still 15 years after Ala Mhigo's fall, even if it's been two years IRL time since launch. This may still be debated on the forums, though. The transfer into a realm reborn is simple, though. Between the servers shutting down and the relaunch, it will be two years. If you were active in the GC content, Luis (forgot his full name) will be teleporting "heros" to when they need them (which of course is in two years). People on the RPC are either RPing that they are among the ranks, finding a way on the battle field to gank a teleport or are going to RP that they're sticking out the rough two years ahead of them. Some RPers are taking this chance to create new characters, and killing off new ones, as well. I think you're a pretty swell gal, so I encourage you to hop on the train! There's a RP story thread on here where you can input your reaction to the moon getting closer and any plans your character has for the future. Last night (Sunday) we held a mass RP event to recreate...or create...Dalamud's descent (since it will be in November), so we got to RP out what what happens to our characters. when the time comes. I'm sure no one would mind if you or someone else started a thread specifically for that to RP/explain what will happen to your character, rather than explain your character's thoughts or motives on the previously mentioned forum. Also, I noticed your first post mentioned you were looking to play siblings or such. Once you know whether or not you're coming back and you know you if you want to stay, shoot me a PM. I have a crazy/pissed off ex-wife role for you. The part only has details set in stone, and while I don't have the back story up on my Wiki yet, it should be up in November, giving the detail of her (old) personality and what led up to the events of her disappearance and why she took her daughter without saying anything. Or maybe she was kidnapped? DUN DUN DUNNN!. Anyways, other than last name, a suggested first name and personality and back story, you would have complete creative control with the character, and even decide what her disappearance was about. Or you can opt for the daughter. It could be all lovey dovey, she could be jaded, or it could be a daddy-daughter relationship similar to Big Daddy and Hit-Girl from Kick Ass. Or stay with the ex-wife and adventure out with your ex-husband to find her! All up to you. Again, more details ill be up on my Wiki, eventually. Anyways, like I said, you seem like a swell gal, and I can't wait to have the chance to RP with you sometime. Last character saves are on October 31st, so if you need to get something done real quick, now's your chance! They will cut off recurring billings in November and start back up when the game launches, so keep that in mind, as well. =)
  5. glad to see the character models and clothing were polished off, and even more, the customizable features looks fantastic. Though, the Miqo'te was chosen and of course the largest bust size was chosen as the demo of that particular screenshot, It's good to see that "Very Large" is not actually obnoxious.
  6. Dick-Ass Mage...But not because of the dick or ass. Stealth is where it's at. The 1HKO is nice, too.
  7. As stated, your namesake is everything, and word spreads fast. While it's probably better to let things go, I'm in favor for Eva, because quite frankly if someone has your namesake, they can run with it and spread it as they will. Unfortunately, this hapens whether or not you defend yourself, but I can at least sympathize with trying to take an active role in ensuring your voice and perspective is at least heard and known. But then, like NKato... I just...I just want to RP!
  8. Nice! I was in Cladire Vortae (or something) for RP, then Raven Guard. After those I tried to raid with Ancient Prophecy, then finally Bloodthorn. Bloodthorn by then was growing pretty low on activity, including Wind Runners (the good-guy side) and I think people started leaving for Sigil. Me and some lower officers of Bloodthorn formed Intrigued and we tried to run some business but ultimately, my toon ended up getting kicked out (on good terms oocly!) and short after the same lower officers went inactive. Journey...let's see....IIRC, there was a girl in there named Etude? Might have been a different guild >.<. It's a shame to hear that about Splitpaw, but as far as I noticed AB is getting to be just as inactive RP-wise. The F2P system, and several other issues, in my opinion, killed the game and really the decline in the RPC has certainly been a long time coming. The game was absolutely fantastic, and still probably is. There is no company that can compete with the lore of Norrath, and even SOE can't kill that. It's just a shame it seems like there isn't enough RP citizens in any game!
  9. Vael...that's a familiar name-- ever play EQ2, on AB?

    TGS Trailer

Nice. I'd rather have appearance slots to show off that new starting gear, than the class gear though-- oh wait...I'd have to make a new char for starting gear >.< NOOOOO! Eternal, you're so right about Prelude...
  11. Ah ok. Sorry, I wasn't sure how much of a hassle it was. I'd be glad to help with the transfer tomorrow, I feel like I owe a lot to this community
  12. Top side-banner is from FF Wikia. The rest is from pottermore.com I post these images (mainly the latter ones) because I always liked the idea of having a website with a background like that, portraying you're reading out of a book or navigating through a desk. The only thing is, I just don't know how feasible that is, since one person may surf on their 42" tv (such as I), or their 14" netbook. But that's coding semantics.
  13. Oh and add 'taking over' the Tonberry's Lantern. Or..at least putting in articles and ads to...assist in helping us get what we want.
  14. ((EDIT: I realized I leaked a bit too much Stormguard info =P Edited and fixed!)) "The world is coming to an end. Excellent, add it to the ever-growing list of things I need to get on." Moltove mumbled, sighing miserably in the Quicksand, swirling his green drink around absent-minded. Molt was adorned in his usual garb, the same type of clothing found in the Phrontistery. His glasses rested on top of his head, while he had taken off his mask after being asked for the third time if he was a medical doctor, but even when he tried to explain what the passerby's could do to fix their ailments, they seemed less interested once he corrected them in saying he was only an assistant. "Their loss..." he said after they left moments before. Adiar entered the tavern, meeting eyes with Molt once he was flagged down. He wore the same clothing, though he truly was a doctor, and Molt's only real friend in the workplace. Adiar was a shorter Elezen, though his noble genes certainly shined through his somewhat-humble appearance. Joining Molt, he took a chair next to him and sighed, rolling his eyes, "Lost in the swill again?" "Not yet", Molt replied, almost bitterly. "Well, probably because they water down the drinks here. You know the tavern to be in is the Miner--" Adiar was cut off to Molt's scoff. "Well, I like the company here, O.K.?" "And what company is that? The eager and peppy arrivals to the city, believing they're going to save the world?" Both of them knew the reason why Molt was there. Years after the fall of Ala Mhigo, Molt still searched for his family, though his efforts has come to checking adventurer's taverns, airship landing stations and chocobo stalls. This pale in comparisons to the traveling he did before-- but after a few years, he began to wonder what was the point. "The moon is coming to party with us, Adiar..." Molt began, though he wasn't sure to go with it, lost in his own thoughts. "I didn't want to tell you this, but there's rumors that there may be a way to avoid...well, you know.." Adiar said hesitantly. At this point a Miqo'te server came to the table and attempted to take orders. Adiar declined with a less-than-amused expression, as if even suggesting the 'slop' they served here was a major offense to his refined taste buds. After all, he was a well-paid doctor, to boot. Molt just shook his head, unable to swallow down the drink he currently held. Other nights he was sick of the world and all his inhabitants, but tonight he was more sick of himself and drinking. The server blushed slightly at Molt, unsure if she should be embarrassed for asking if he wanted another drink of if Molt was behaving as such because of her. Either way, she turned around and waited another table. "What's the point, Adi? Everyone else will perish. I'll awaken to a desolate and empty world, with nothing to do but sit and twiddle my thumbs as I wait for civilization to rebuild itself. A shred of hope with eat away at me like a disease and drive me up a wall in hopes I'll see her again. What if they die? What if my Ama survives, but Sol doesn't? What if they both survive, but die because there's just nothing left? Solae's smart, or at least I thought, but there's only so much you can do after an apocalypse." Molt dropped his head to the table in desperation. "Molt, you don't know that! And in the mean-time, by the twelve, they could very well show up! Or maybe you'll find them, and be the reason why they survived!" Adiar exclaimed, trying to get Molt of of this impossible mood that has overrun him ever since Dalamud drew near. "perhaps you could do more with the Immortal Flames? They'll get you traveling in no time at all, and you'll at least find some purpose again. If you're lucky, you'll find a clue!" Molt huffed a sigh, "Might as well. The Phrontistery fired me today, so I've nothing else to loose." Adiar grimaced. He feigned any knowledge of this, but he couldn't be any farther from the truth without lieing through his teeth. "I-...I'm sorry, why?" He knew why, already. You can't have mopey people in the workplace. They bring others down and usually their own work, as well as others suffers. Showing up to work intoxicated never helps either. "I don't know, and I don't even care at this point. All I know is that that stupid red ball of death is coming and there's no reason to go on anymore! If the moon won't kill them, the Garleans will! if the Garleans won't, then the moon will!" Molt lifted his head as he said this, tossing his glass to the floor. Glass shards and green beverage covered the floor, and the Miqo'te waitress looked on with a terrified face-- it was her first night and already she had such a dissatisfied customer! "All the more reason to get back with them and finish where you left off. It'll give you purpose and, in the chance we all survive this moon thing, you'll be there holding the Garleans at bay. Show up at the Hall of Flames tomorrow and take your pole-arm proficiency! You had to of gotten better with your guisarme, so go for it!" Molt immediately perked up and hushed Adiar, throwing his hand over his mouth clumbsily, "SHHH! What did I tell you? Don't say..." Molt stopped suddenly and removed his hand from Adiar's face. "Forget it. I've failed that, as well. germfliq was attacked and humjikbllet. I couldn't even tell you where vwzisg is, but I can tell you it is no more. With hypsiarber gone, there is no purpose, and we were in the stages of rebuilding with what few people we had, so it was unanimous to...well, go our separate ways." Adiar hardly acknowledged the jibberish. He never could figure out what may have caused it, but it was obviously to cover something important. Molt never knew he spoke that way until Adiar pointed it out to him, all the while he thought Order of the Stormguard and Seraphine, while hushed, were always what came out. By now, the poor waitress meandered over and meekly cleaned up the mess at their feet. Neither men paid her any mind. "Do you...have it still, right?" Adiar asked, pointing to his own chest. Molt nodded and tugged his tunic down some, enough to show a small piece of the tattoo he received. He never actually showed Adiar the entire tattoo, just bits and glimpses in the changing room when donning their work clothing. From what Adiar could tell there was a black outline, sort of knotted around what looked like a fuchsia lightning bolt. He noticed Molt did try to hide it even in those circumstances, but they never could talk about it. "There's nothing I can really do. I can't bchifgy by myself and I'm in no place to judge character on xaquinjy. jhjkguh has..the zfdpfft that would dghmnjg, anyways." Molt sighed and raised from his chair, stretching. Adiar perked a brow, passing the thought to ask him to rephrase but disregarded the thought and sighed, unable to penetrate Molt's thick skull. "Well, start it whatever you can. They don't have to know the intimate details, but who knows? You'll find kchupah, or whomever you mean to say, along with your wife and daughter and you could live happily ever-after." Adiar replied, sliding from the table and raising from his own chair. They made their way to the desk, and behind it grew a very nervous server. It was clear her peers did not care for her much yet, as they continued about their duties, so she was alone and waiting for whatever belittling she was sure to receive. Molt reached down and pulled a decent sized coin pouch from his belt, setting it at the table. "Thank you, miss, I rather enjoyed my drink and you did a fine job tonight. I appreciate it!" Both the men turned and walked out, the Miqo'te almost fainting from pure relief as her first night became a success rather than a massacre. The two Elezen walked down the alley behind the Quicksand in silence for a moment before Adiar broke the ice. "Where did you get that purse?" "It was mine..." Molt replied, replacing his lenses back on his face, adjusting them to sit correctly. "Liar." "I lifted it. I couldn't fight it." "And...the other things we talked about last time?" "Well...I still have the dagger..I can't seem to dump it anywhere, so instead I've been practicing with it." Adiar stopped, pinching his nose, "How much?" "Too much. Idle hands is the Thief's plaything, it seems. You think that's a good quality to have when judging character?" Molt replied, walking a few steps forward, hands on hips. "I..I just can't help it...there's nothing else to live for or do--" "MOLT! STOP IT!" Adiar abruptly shouted through gritted teeth. He was clenching his fists and shaking by the time Molt turned to face him. "I have a wife and three kids at home. I've worked hard for what I've got, and you know what? With Dalamud approaching we. Make. Due. We spend as much time together as possible, and we make the best of it. But you're right! Of course you've got it worse, but in case you forgot, you're not the only one who's about to get crushed by that giant red blob. Your family, if they're still alive, " Molt cringed as Adiar seemed to strike a heart string, "they won't make it through this any better or worse than you will. There's nothing you can do, nothing anyone of us can do, so. Deal. With. It." Molt took a step back, his breath swiped right from under him as though it were carpet underneath his feet. Adiar was right, but he couldn't come to terms with it. He was always right, and he never wanted to face it. "If you can't find anything else to live for, then live for yourself. Do something. Make something. Have fun! Do whatever you want to do, not what you should do, and wait for this sobbing-mush-shit to kick in when Dalamud is just above your head! Make mistakes! Do something rather than piss and moan that you're too spriggan-shit to do anything!" Adiar took in a deep breath and gave out an exaggerated sigh, trying to calm down. Strangers in they alley looked on with curiosity, keeping to their shadows before wandering off to find something else to nose into. Molt stood, bewildered and unable to find anything coherent to say. They both took a moment, sitting on barrels left by a merchant in the previous day. "I'm...I'm sorry, Molt. But you can't keep doing this to yourself. You said yourself that you and Solae were doing anything but getting along, so maybe she just left. I'm not defending what she may or may not have done, but we're in a crisis. There's nothing else to do but be selfish and give in. Even the tamest animal will revert to its primal senses once cornered, and Molt...we're all cornered. There's still order, but you and I both see it-- people are running around in a hurry with no destination. They're no better than you or I, and us to them. But while we still have time, make the best of it and stay in control. You never know what will come of this, and perhaps one day, after all this is over, you'll thank me for trying to ground you while you went to visit Dalamud a little early." Molt crossed his arms like a pouting child, still speechless. He managed a nod when Adiar stood up and turned to face him. "Take control. Don't let these animals lead you- It's the blind leading the blind out there. And me? I'm perfectly fine with all this. My family may be worried, but...here's to hoping this will pass over us and hit the Garleans." Adiar grinned. Molt matched it and outstretched his hand, but Adiar would have none of that. "Aw, come here big guy! Did I hurt your feelings?" Adiar said while grasping onto Molt with an awkward hug. "S-stop! By Odin's wrath, get OFF!" Molt shouted, but couldn't help but to laugh, finally shaking Adiar from him. They both stood facing each other for a moment, as though sharing an equal thought and understanding on what must be done. They grasped each other's hand and shook on it. They went on their way on opposite ends of the alley, but little would they know they would never see each other again. ((EDIT: I realized I leaked a bit too much Stormguard info =P Edited and fixed!))
  15. Ok, post updated. Please respond with any idea or criticisms or questions.
  16. Hello, all. I know my presence in the RP community sure hasn't been established, but between two failed linkshells that I joined and some of the features (or lack of) in 1.0, I certainly did not get far. On top of this, I'm a EQ2 refugee and came to the game a little late, and did not play FFXI, and you can say I've been a little resistant, as though I longingly miss Norrath and the friends that I had there. But here's the thing: I'm no LS leader. What guilds I have led (sorta) before, I thought I was pretty good until my commanding officer bailed. But I'd like to get a small crew of thieves together, and see if my leading is up to snuff. But I figure this will be (at first) a equal membership, though Molt would call the shots with input from the other thieves. Molt will be taking in this corruption and making it his own, allowing him to grow into a confident leader and dream with his bag of thugs. The Guild To prepare for the Thief class (that will be arriving via a patch most likely in first quarter 2013), I will be recruiting in order to create a small gang of thieves and bandits. The theme will be just to have a Thieves Guild/Faction, but at a small scale. I'd like to get a small, yet diverse group together so we can explore and adventure together, mainly in 2.0. This crew will be a rag-tag team that's aimed first at bullshitting, but there will become a point in time where Molt (and hopefully others) will want MORE. we'll grow together with our goals of taking over the city-- we'll start to get connections, plant people in guilds and have so many hands in cookie jars that no one will have a choice but to come to us for a service. Think Skyrim Thieves Guild at that point The Goal The purpose of the guild will not be (at first) to cause riff with other LS's, it'll actually be used as a symbiotic relationship-- Whatever service your guild offers, we'll take. Protection services Extortion Money Laundering Chocobo Races (and race fixing associated with such chocobos) Real and fake gambling on the streets and the Platinum Mirage Planting spies to create interesting and dynamic plot twists and chances for confrontation Drinking Brokering More gambling Treasure and antique curation Creating convincing covers to evade the law and suspecting eyes Alignment: I'd like to have Erozea's general well-being intact, because if a city is attacked, then how will we conduct business? If we kill potential customers, where will our profits come from? As such, I do not wish for this to be an evil guild. I don't think I'd like a bunch of people who are out to cause literal trouble to other guilds at an OOC level. We're out for a profit, and perhaps enjoy life the best we can, even at the expense of others. Moving up the Chain: There would be a ranking system, depending on activity and desire to move through the ranks. I'd like to get to the point where the guild is self sufficient, as far as business RP goes. This means while I'll be the guild leader, everyone else will be able to go out and continue tasks or go about thieve things to spread the word that we're out their. The Story: Right now, I'm working on a small back story. It's going to sound selfish, but it's basically based around Molt. There is a cursed dagger that used to haunt Molt, and it's on the horizon, just waiting to be found. Molt has since vowed to never succumb to such a weapon and the stigma it carries, but after recovering a bronzed dagger left laying around, he hasn't discarded it, and is even practicing using it. With the world coming to the end, it doesn't mean one can't profit from the hysteria of the populace. Recruitment: Molt will now be watching people. How they move, talk, fight and conduct business. Surely he will be noticed as well and grab attention from others, as well. When 2.0 launches, I will post a story thread and a requirement thread, while in the mean time interacting with people I see RPing around Ul'Dah and Gridania. The Other Project: When the small gang becomes a guild, it will eventually focus on an Orphanage. This orphanage will act like a cover to all the thief shenanigans taking place. Depending on the housing system being implemented in 2.0, this will hopefully be represented easily, and we can even get anyone interested in playing kids. The orphanage will be tied to Molt, mostly (he has a soft spot for kids!) and will more than likely have an Oliver! musical feel as Molt teaches the kids how to pickpocket and 'survive in these trying times'. The Orphanage will be a sure thing as well, and I'll make another forum post about it when the time comes. So, any thoughts? Most importantly, anyone interested? But please remember, this is going to be a small gang first and for a bit while we get our bearings in 2.0.
  17. My original idea of the suspended animation (or time travel, whatever it is) was more or less having a crystal or something assigned to you, and you hop in when it comes time. With that idea, Molt would have found someone with one, and killed them/distracted them, then hopped in for himself just before it sealed. But then I just saw the trailer, and realized that it was probably Lenny's doing, and the main hyur from all the trailers was, for a lack of a better term, teleported. When it comes to lore and 'heroic individuals', the rules HAVE to be bent for players- mainly because they're catering to thousands of players. this means that, yeah, the brave ones are actually quite a LOT of people, but at the same time lore in most other games usually gives you a feeling that you are alone in your task of awesomeness, or your guild (or a small number of guilds) is (are) the only ones who are affected by whatever strange, magical powers, and therefore everyone else in the world (NPC's and people lfg) are more or less pictured as stand-by population numbers. With the Echo timeline, FFXIV did a good job in making you realize that quite a few people have this ability, and you certainly are not alone. But the previous loner-mindset still stands. That being said, when this comes through it is certainly still our prerogative to decide what happens to US, and what matters is HOW and WHO is chosen to pass to 2.0 (and who stays and lives or dies). Lenny is amazing, but I doubt that he teleported EVERYONE on the battlefield; just the head honchos, main trailer party, and a "small selection" of us (which of course will be thousands, but realistically speaking, it's the mindset of your main party you went through the campaign with, assuming you had a normal rag-tag team of adventurers just like the main party in all the trailers). That may help, and it may not. But remember that 2.0 is supposed to be the game 1.0 was not. 2.0 essentially starts us off at a point where it's back to the Garleans pushing from the north, and SE needed to cover ass to not make it look like they pushed a reset button. I'm interested in what they're coming up with, but by no means hold high expectations regarding their cover-story. I will say that Molt didn't do much RP wise with the Immortal Flames, so if Lenny's magic focuses on specific people, then I'm stuck. If it's a matter of area, then it's about keeping Molt informed on what's going on, and being at the right place at the right time. But there's something holding Molt back, and he may just stay to see if he can find the two only people he has any ties to. if the time shift is 5 years, I'm ok with it. if it's 20, I want to know how the time travel/suspension affects age. To me this doesn't look like an alternate dimension (and trust me, I know all about that from EQ2), so I just hope it's one time-line. And if there's any gimmick of time travel, and going back and forth, or even alternate dimensions it's probably because they're interested in keeping 1.0 around (even though there will be no support for it).
  18. I do not prefer the /random system as well. But I think it's useful sometimes...sort of. I just think that a wide /random does give room for a lot of RP, even if it is based on luck, simply because it gives a false sense of depth. Missing partially, assuming both characters are having the same 'luck', just allows us to find reasons on why this is happening and how to cope/adapt; the loose gravel under a character's foot gives in, for example. Fail epically enough, you'll slip, but in turn you can grab a handful of the dirt or sand and throw it in the opponent's face. You probably wouldn't have thought of that before, or really thought your character was -above- that kind of behavior, but then you learn under the face of death...yeah, my stoic, battle hardened Paladin is gonna use a dirty trick after all. But, /random is no excuse for not RPing out or otherwise just planning ahead with the parties involved, and this certainly does not account for bad luck. In addition, when setting up /random rules, a /999 doesn't have to mean killshot-- you can kill anyone with anything, so it doesn't have to be a gun, it can even be a rusty needle. It could mean incapacitation, or it could mean a damn-well placed blow or cut. Or being stabbed in the eye...>.>. It's still not the best system though, and I think what it comes down to is that we've all had a terrible experience with it. I know I have....even the power of love couldn't save my character. =(
  19. Thanks for the info-- I got it all clarified from the Lodestone's recent post on it, too, so thanks! Well, least I know Thief is in the future, and then some. All that's missing from the traditional class system is that and...maybe Red Mage, but the latter of course is more than likely going to be a job, too. Ah well. I guess Paladin and Bard, maybe Dragoon and White Mage
  20. Teach me some yoga and some meditation practices and I'll teach you everything you'll need to know! Err...well...teach you by finding out through someone else...I'm still pretty new myself, but welcome nonetheless =p. I think you'll find that a lot more 'open' or 'random' RP happens most often during prime time, but not always.one thingI've noticed, and I don't know of it's just me, but since w have a rather small community, you'll be able to get most of your rp kicks from the ls' our announced events. I wander around Ul'Dal icly once in a while, but not run into too many rpers out and about rping. Can you join multiple ls'? I think regardless, just a someone mentioned, joining OOC would be a great start...but then so would the rest of the ls' listed on our ls page. I hope we'll get to see you on Balmung!
  21. Can anyone explain or give a link to the job system details? Anyways, I'm disappointed there's no assassin or otherwise rogue class...
  22. Much better. Like it was said, now we just have to sit tight to see if they put the RP tag on the server. I don't think it'll be that much of a big deal. RPers always get hassle no matter the server, no matter the transfers, no matter the lakes. The only thing to do in recourse [?] is keep up the RP, keep up the events and remain ever-vigilant and welcoming
  23. I. Basic Info Characters:Moltove Amatsukaze (namechange to come, possibly more characters) Primary character:Moltove Linkshells:Backstage, Order of the Immortal Blade Primary RP linkshell:None II. RP Style Amount of RP (light, medium, heavy): Heavy to light. When I want to RP, I enjoy going all out. Like....10-paragraphs-describing-how-I-picked-up-a-cup-all out. If I'm not, I'll oblige to some light RP, as well. My best RP experiences often started with light RP. Views on RP combat and injuries: Unfortunately it's impossible to satisfy everyone. We want to 'leave our mark'. We want to fight and show you we were superior, but not only that we want to always leave you a memento for messing with us or a little reminder that if we see you again, you better watch your back-- like a scar, at the very least. I suppose I'm OK with everything but limb loss (for now, particularly because he needs all them!) and insta-death. I'm not interested in killing off this character, but a slow, even painful sickness or curse would be ok, so as long as I can collaborate with you on a long RP story arc to fix or semi-fix the curse or illness. Views on IC romance: I'm completely open to it if the RP calls/leads for it. I've had my fair share of experiences, but if it's a topic or possibility that comes up, of course there are ground rules, mostly to ensure things are completely understood and nothing steps out of bounds for either character. Views on non-romantic RP (family ties, etc): I'm all for it! I think that's a great RP opportunity for players and gives a special bond for those RPers who RP with each other as such. Moltove does not have any siblings, but there may be a possibility that his father is alive (undefined at this point), and Molt has an ex-wife and daughter out in the world. Any of these roles can be claimed by anyone interested! Views on lore: Despite wanting to be a lore-nazi...there's a lot I do not know about the lore, so it defeats the purpose. I like to be as authentic as possible, and encourage others to be the same. If there's something that does not match up to the Lore, it may irk me, and if it's significant enough I'll pass a friendly /tell, but otherwise it won't bother me and won't prevent me from RP with anyone. Unless if it has to deal with a half-vampire/half-dragon/half-succubus character. Then I will have no dealings with such. Views on chat functions (/say, /linkshell, etc): All are grounds for RP, aside from /OOC and certain other channels. It all depends on the RP. If you're out on the field, and there's a possibility of getting seperated, fighting, or if you just want to RP in a group but in private, then /group is ok. /LS is dictated by the guild itself. III. 24. Awesome, thanks for the welcome and the advice! Unfortunately, eq2 is the same. But after 2.0, I hope this game sees a little more attention.
