Well hello there, RPC! I know you've all been wondering what's been happening in the world of Jackal & Hide, and the answer to that is... Lots, actually! As Inarah touched upon in the prior post, on Saturday we ALMOST finished up our first ever company story arc. Inarah summed it up nicely, so I'll just leave you with my own screenshots from the event to go with her own!

Good news, everyone! As Kilid's getting married the day before, and as he and Inrah are delaying their honeymoon for an entire sun to host the Sunny Seaside Bar earlier the same day, I'm having to withdraw Kilid from the tourney. Now that the clear winner is no longer taking part, I wish you all the best of luck! *Flees from the bigger, stronger folk*

Yes, it's that time of the fortnight again folks, where we reveal to you which mystical magical attractions are to be held at the Sunny Seaside Bar 4![/align] [align=center]This week, in a break from tradition and in no way related to last week, the entertainment is provided by none other than... you. All of you, in fact (If you're willing). We're seeking storytellers. Orators for the ages. Bards with the ability to shape words of such power and grace so as to whisk their audience away to far-flung lands, captivate them with chronicles of great adventures, daring-do and feats of such bravery to inspire the listener to take up the sword and fight! Fight for all they hold dear! Tales to titillate, stories of illicit l'amour under the loving eyes of Menphina, of love so strong it shines a light to rival that of Azeyma's sun. Stories to shed tears of laughter over misadventures and mockery. We'll even stretch to allowing budding songstresses to serenade us, should there be any willing.[/align] [align=center]It's a story night, in short! Come along in your finest formal beachwear, sup from the most marvelous cocktails, and relax in the atmosphere that only the beautiful Hidden Falls can provide! As with prior bar nights, we'll be opening ourselves up for business at the 19th bell, with storytelling beginning at... roughly, the 20th. Give or take. The course of true love never did run smooth, and we do so love you all*, so allow some leeway! We hope to see (and hear) you all there! *We love you so much that Inarah and Kilid will be delaying their honeymoon by a full day to see that the bar opens! Such is their dedication to you all. Tales that make the pair giggle will be most appreciated.[/align] [align=center]0rELYuM7QlU [/align] As ever folks, we'll be present at the bar from 6:30-ish onwards, with an official opening at 7pm GMT, and the main attraction beginning at 8! The usual closing time of 10pm GMT also remains in place, to allow plenty of time to make your way to the other events of the night should you wish. There'll no prizes this week, beyond the adoration of the crowd and the joy of seeing them hang 'pon your every word, as we're seeking a more relaxed kind of evening for all present. All are welcome to attend, and storytelling is, of course, not mandatory! Everyone present would no doubt appreciate it, however. See you all there!

Been turning on AO in reshade for a few screenies, of late. Love the look it gives, but I really can't wait for the DX11 client, so there's an AO implementation we can use that doesn't slaughter our FPS. Have an Inarah! :love:

We've been busy, that's where! On the PvE side of life, we've begun the long Coil ascent! It's early days, but we're now putting together more organised groups to go along with the impromptu dungeon runs designed to help folks gear up. How well will this work out? I'd like to think fairly well! We've got some experienced hands in the crew, and those of us new to Coil are eager to learn more! So fingers are crossed that the drops are as sweet as the people running it. On the RP side of things... Inarah's ran a small event with our more sneaky Hobbitses, Tata and Thara to further certain very important plans that have nothing to do with the wedding andifanyonefromtheGoldsmith'sguildnoticestworingsmissingitwasn'tusokay? Secondly, last night Stone Wall hosted another event for the FC, this time a training event designed to give everyone present an insight into how their brothers- and sisters-in-arms fight, promoting a sense of unity and camaraderie within the pack! Xiv brought his date along, of course, whereas Tata and his friend Aeron brought along some choice cuts of buffalo, which were promptly turned into a rather moreish stew by Inarah, who continues to delight and surprise everyone with a hitherto hidden talent as a chef. Oh, and Thya introduced her mentor, who seems to be an honest-to-goodness Warrior. He and Kilid duelled. Kilid's pretty much bedridden for a few suns with headtrauma. Fun times! Looking forward to more of them.

[align=center]The Sunny Seaside Bar 3: Veni, Vidi, Beachi[/align] The bar has been lowered! is now over for another fortnight! The talent competition had some... interesting entries. Some of us will forever see a Lalafell wearing nothing but three strategically placed seashells every time we close our eyes, for the rest of our suns... *Sob* But more on that in a moment... where was I? Oh... yeah. The bar! As with all the prior openings, it was a fun time for us in Jackal & Hide, and we hope it was just as enjoyable for those who turned up, whether for the first time of as old hands. And as ever, we'd like to take a moment to offer many thanks to all who turned up and made it what it was. It just wouldn't be fun without you folks! :love: We love* you Eorzea! Drinks were sold, Inarah's pies and cake were consumed, and laughs (we think that's what the tears were) were had from the aforementioned scarring talent show! Congratulations to Devin and Yoral who both share the top spot with a joint number of votes, and a very well done to Solis and his acrobatics that netted him the second-place spot! It was good to see that Eorzea does indeed, have some form of talent out there. Screenshots incoming! */stretch* So, what's been going on with Jackal & Hide of late, I hear you ask! (Because I'm psychic. OOoooooOOOOOOoohhh! *Waggles fingers*) Well! As Inarah mentioned in the previous post, we had our presence at the Mid-Moon Meanders Market Meetup, joint-hosted by the Kindred, and the Harbingers of Dawn. Inarah's cooking went down a storm, friends and contacts were made, and our resident smith, Thya, found some admirers for her wares!

Crushes? Just the one, and he's now engaged to that crush. Such is the power of wearing no shirt, I guess! Having read this, and discussed it with Inarah, we'd like to put Jackal & Hide down for this. It looks like it could be a useful gathering, and maybe bring some more LS' out of their housing-based shells. We're EU-based though (GMT) so it really does depend on the day, and the time.
