Had a problem here, nailing down games that are strictly RPG's and not, say, adventures. Or games with RPG elements that otherwise really don't belong. And then I decided I'm not that fussed about the above distinction From the PC! Baldur's Gate I/II (+expansions), and NeverWinter Nights (I've not really ever put much effort into the sequel, I'm ashamed to say). Fallout, of course. More recently it's been A Tale of Two Wastelands, which was a brilliant idea to port FO3 into the FO:NV engine. Also, Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana, Super Mario RPG and Terranigma from the SNES days... oh, and A Link to the Past, of course. Would be criminal to forget that Hmm... Phantasy Star Online on the ol' Dreamcast stole many an hour, too... I'll return and add more after coffee.

I rather run the risk of being boring here, but thus far Kilid's been a fan of the ol' black and white. Although having begun experimenting, there are some shades of blue that work really very well with those eyes. Might be time to expand the wardrobe. Sigh, more expenditure!

Well, as many of you know (Given how many of you were there!), last night Jackal & Hide hosted its very first large-scale (... huge, for us) public event, the Sunny Seaside Bar. While on occasion calling it the 'Sunny' Seaside Bar wasn't quite as accurate as we'd have liked (Soggy Stormridden Seaside Bar actually. Curse those coastal Costa storms!), little things like the weather didn't seem to deter people, all of whom are clearly hardier than a little bit of rain! And so to each and every one of you that turned up last night, you beautiful, beautiful people, we here at J&H would like to say thank you. You all made it a resounding success, and a thoroughly enjoyable experience for us here behind the characters. And hopefully for yourselves too. It meant a lot to us :love: And if anyone ordered a drink that we missed, due to chatscroll... sorry! We're looking into a system that probably involves poking us in whispers next time to ensure you don't get overlooked. I'm not sure anyone -did- get overlooked, as I know Inarah and myself were scanning the chat until our eyeballs melted, along with Xivrez'to and Mihrimi, but better safe than sorry We're already plotting the next event, and would like to offer up an open invitation. If you'd like to perform, or offer some form of entertainment in any (mostly legal) way, shape or form, we'd love to hear from you either here or via whispers IG! The Chocobo racing may or may not return, we're still unsure on that one but we know of at least one person wanting to start an illicit gambling ring over it. Which could be fun It depends on how things go with the Golden Saucer's racing, I guess! (*Cough* Squee *Cough* Golden saucer!) I... I guess the truth does hurt. *Sniff* Anyway, on topic... A very interesting read, and I second Inarah in that I'm sorry that you've encountered some of the troubles you have, and in looking forward to the future posts/updates. It saddens (And frustrates) me that so much of what should be common sense/manners, needs laying out like this at times. (And by laying out, I of course mean slapping people silly until it sinks in.) Week 2, event 2 Status: Complete Result: Aww, hells yeah 8-) So, what happened? Well, most of that will appear in a write-up, which is yet to come (It's Valentione's Day, I beg your forgiveness for the delay today, folks */grovel*) but in short... there was a merchant escort job, with a twist. The twist didn't go -quite- according to the IC plan (I know... shock!), but the end result was better and perhaps a little more profitable in terms of gil and information than either Inarah or Kilid expected And more importantly... the turnout was greater! *Creeps from the shadows* Patch 5 is bringing back the Black Emporium, mirror and all! For all the talk of having the lighting in the character creator be as neutral as possible to aid in making a character you like, it was still pretty damn impossible to know just how they'd look in other situations until you were done. Soon™... Soon™, that won't be an issue. Now I'm just left wondering when we'll get some better hair options for the Qunari >_>
