RP thru skype/discord or even the PM system as was mentioned above are all good options for deal I with the downtime of your PC. Of course there are always other options such as perusing or trying out a different hobby, hang in out with friends or watching tv/movies. The key is to keep yourself busy and hoping from one thing to another.

Also keep in mind that voidsent are pretty much "kill on site" and when a person is possessed by the voidsent, they completely lose themselves to it and are driven insane. There wouldn't be a shard of humanity left after awhile and currently no cure/ritual to call it out. The only way to cure it would be to kill the body of it's host....you.

If you do happen to clear out a few spots I'd be interested in getting an invite. I'm a lvl 60 BRD so would more be just tagging along with others that wanted to fill their parties. Dunno if that makes a difference or not lol

I wouldn't recommend maintenance cycles as a viable option. However it's still possible to accomplish it. But seriously, for $18.00 just save the BS and the headaches and just transfer.

Welcome to the RPC and FFXIV! If you're not against putting real money down, choose a random server, create a few characters and then transfer them to whichever server you want for $18.00. And you can move as many of those characters you want for the same price. Or if you're feeling lucky you can try jumping in rifht as the servers come back up from maintenance. Although you're probably looking at a 10 second window or less. I've known people who've been trying to getvto Balmung for over two minths trying it that way. If you do decide to transfer, ignore the "Cannot transfer characters to a full server" limitation as it doesn't apply. You'll have nontrivial getting onto whichever server you'd like and its pretty much instant.

Housing timers are incorporated back into the game again. You know what that means, right? Time for another free weekly log in event so everyone can keep their houses and go another few months, just in time to hit another free log in weekend. So watch those wards carefully and good luck!

I'm all for increasing the number of characters allowed per server, per account. And frankly I don't really see the concern about how it makes it harder for everyone else to get on the server. Do what most everyone else had to do, pay for a transfer. It's really as simple as that.

If Female: A smile slowly spreads across the tanned seekers face "Well now ya done did it." he'd sigh. "I have a thing fer things being, unbalanced. So ya should probably plant on on the other side as well" he'd reply while rotating to his other cheek. "And once that's done, why not just seal up that gap you left in the middle, right there on the mouth?"
