I once was involved with an Au Ra female Dragoon from Ishgard who possessed her own dragon's eye, who was birthed by a dragon and lived with them high above the clouds in a massive tower. Was the concept interesting? Sure was. Did my character believe her for a second? Nope. Did my character think she was crazy? Yes. Was the RP still fun. Yes. So even with RP that is so far out of lore, it's still entirely possible to have some fun RP with them. Like the roleplayers who roll MSQ characters. Do my characters for once think they are those people? Nope. Just crazy obsessed fans, like the real life girl who had all those surgeries done to look like Barbie.

Honestly, they wouldn't. It's one of those things where they rely on the threat of being punished to be more effective then they could actually govern or punish something like this. With so much gil exchanging hands through legal ways, unless someone posted in the forums or spoke about it publicly, they would have no idea and thus unable to take any action. It's like those websites still selling gill on Balmung through an external site. They don't get banned because they did not advertise in-game or through public SE websites. Instead, people go looking for them. If you are a gil buyer, you are not going to report the seller. The only thing that gets banned consitently by SE are the bots that show up all over the place right after maintenance.

Savona wasn't so much starting on her new life as much as she was dropped off in it. I don't want to say to much because of a bit of personal plot will be unfolding soon, but she's not out adventuring none to willingly.

Yeah, Skype is just kind of a cluster fuck at the moment. Discord is not without it's issues to be sure, but it's just a more enjoyable program I think. And you can set up the bots to perform various functions, like set up a "roll_1000" or whatever the command is, and much like the in-game /random it will roll for you,. making RP combat in Discord entirely possible.

If you are okay with Discord RP, feel free to take a look at the wiki in my sig and see if my character interests you. I am SOMETIMES online in the EST morning, but we're maybe talking 3-5 times a month. If even that. Discords on the other hand I can use while at work so that would be best given our time differences.

Red Wine - Being a complete lightweight when it comes to any sort of Alcohol, just a fews sips for Savona and ZINGGG! she's gone, trashed, totally wasted! At this point she is no longe rin control of her words, emotions or actions so she tries her best to stay away from it and limit herself with it. That being said....so gooood........must.....resist.....

It's a voice/text chat for gamers basically. You can create different chat channels for voice/texet and invite specific people into each group. A lot of people use it for out of game Free Company chat, and as far as RP goes, it's used the same way as Forum RP goes. Your responses just go onto a chat channel instead of in-game or a forum. I really recommend downloading it if you have friends or an FC that use it. I myself do a lot of RP over Discord.

Unless I'm misunderstanding what's posted, and I may be wrong, (and I probably am) But if you are referring to having all the powers of darkness that a DRK has, without actually being one, I think that may be a bit of a stretch. DRKs need mentors to teach them how to control the darkness and not allow it to consume them. Without that mentor to teach you how to control it, the darkness will completely consume you and you'll just be a shell of your former self. But like I said, somebodycan lore check this because I'm not sure of it myself.

Pretty much. But even then I've seen Gilgamesh randomly open during EST afternoon hours. So your chances of getting on that server is a lot higher then catching Balmung open.

Yeah honestly, the transfer fee is the only reliable way in to Balmung. Catching the servers after maintenance is no longer reliable and the open window to get a character in is probably less then 3 seconds, 5 at best!

Mmm. It depends with that healer angle, but I might be thinking more mid-game. Even SCH at the beginning level dungeons can just sort of leave their Fairy on heal-duty and play pretend-DPS with Cleric Stance. However, when you get to around the level 30-40 dungeons, not having your "key" abilities like Leeches and Lustrate can be quite the pain in the behind. Of course, you don't know you miss them until you actually have them... so it might be a moot point. And I specify SCH not just because it's the healer I main, but it'd be the one Yian would likely be using in dungeons. Nothing screw me up more on any type of class as queuing into a low level dungeon and having 3/4 of my rotation unavailable.

For me it seems like Healers and DPS have an easier time when running the early game dungeon whereas tanks have to work a little harder. Having less taunts, less aoe abilities etc. Then it seems like Tanks get rewarded with later endgame dungeons as for a lot of the boss fights you just....well , tank. Meanwhile the DPS scurries all around, failing mechanics and causing the healer to run out of mana and causes the group to wipe lol
