I'm really looking forward to this. I already solo lower leveled dungeons, just because I can. So this sounds very promising!

Just adding to the already overwhelming support for EU/Balmung, but I know quite a few EU roleplayers and non seem to have a huge problem with lag. And those who do just run WTfast. So again, you should be fine!

I like this idea. Not so much for my own leveling purpose, but helping out others. I main BRD so I'll be the deeps who doesn't pull early and then blame you for not holding aggro. I also will not be the guy that stands in the flashing yellow zones and blame you for your inability to heal lol. I also have DRK to 44 and am in call to tank whatever content below my level that you need! So add me! T'khoa Tia is the in-game name. I'll be on later tonight, and if not then, over the weekend.

I just didn't know if the harder modes had different bosses or if the arenas looked different or what have you. If they are pretty much the same, just an increase of mechanics and difficulty, then I would just be satisfied with Normal mode then.

Sorry for the delay in replying! And thanks for all the advice everyone! I think I will just need to shoot for being at the lower end of the pack when it comes to raiding. And by that I mean run older content and just go from there. In the meantime I will take the advice above and go from there! Really, my desire for raiding is just to see the content and unlock all the various gear pieces etc. I'm not totally concerned with being update to date on EVERYTHING but more to be able to do decent on what out now, like Void Ark, Diadem, Experts and hardmodes, etc.

Hello all. Just recently I've decided to dip into the raiding side of FFXIV. Have been level 60 for quite some time now and have never touched a raid, nor do I have 50/60 expert roulette unlocked. I've been looking up different raids and I are that uhhh, I think Alexander Savage is what most are running now. So do I need to complete Alexander Normal to unlock Gordias/Savage or is it an entirely separate unlock? Also, my ilvl is at 216 right now. All 220 Elkyion (spelling) gear but only just got the ilvl 200 tomestone weapon last night. Hello and Welcome! As far as servers go, you can still pay $18.00 for a server transfer into Balmung. It's just looked for new characters. You can still transfer in. If you do happen to go this route, keep in mind you can transfer all 8 characters from a single server for the same $18.00. So it;s best to create a server full, wait the 3 days are whatever is required, then pay the $$ to transfer over.

Perhaps I may have mis-worded it, but just to clarify. I was more referring to as "Is it any surprise that people can become so tangled in it" not so much a "Hey we should accept them." The point being is, it's no different then the problems you can have in rel life surrounding such friendships, romances and relationships. It should be no surprise to anyone when IC/OOC lines blur because though these may just be fictional characters in a game, there is a real person, with real emotions and feelings behind them. These characters are not just merely words on a page, but watched over for by their players. Hopefully that clears it up a bit?

The level at which some people get entangled in it is crazy. Is it though? I do not mean to insinuate that it is appropriate behavior to get caught up in an IC romance with OOC feelings. But when it all boils down to it, you are dealing with basic human emotions. I do not condone such actions, but to me I find it understandable if someone is unable to distinguish between the two. Such as some people are unable to maintain the concept of "just friends" while others do not and want something more. The same situation between OOC/IC romance and relations. It's just that some people can separate the two and see clear lines between them, while another person may not. And like I said, I don't necessarily agree with that, but I understand.

Actually, one of the Xaela tribes, Malaguld, to be exact. Openly accepts Raen into their clans, as well as those exiled from other tribes. However I don'tt think that same acceptance is spread throughout any of the other named Xaela tribes. However, even SE has stated that their are many of named Xaela tribes that have not been named and feel free to make up your own. In which case, just "create" a new tribe name and you should be good to go!

The beauty of FFXIV RP is that you don't have to be the exact class of you wish to RP that class. A wide majority of players do not use the jobs IC so much as they use they use the weapons/items from said classes. And by that I mean it's perfectly acceptable if you want to RP your basic archer as a Bard, before they even have access to the actual class of Bard.

I've always viewed the Keeper/Seeker relations to each other as some sort of unspoken rivalry, but maintain at least a civil disposition for each other at most times. That being said, I'm up for either one and I'm sure both would be interesting. I do RP over Skype as well!

I always admire your upbeat attitude and the feeling you give off of probably always having some big cheesy smile on your face. From what I've seen you put in a massive amounts of work for the Grindstone and the community loves it. Keep up the awesome work!
