  1. I don't know if anyone has started a thread about this so feel free to say so if I'm being redundant ^^;; If anyone plays the SE game Knights of the Crystal on Facebook then feel free to add my characters page! It would be fun if we could get a group of roleplayers adventuring together. Please note, this isn't my personal page, it's a page I specifically set up for RP. You can either make one for your character or if you're comfortable letting people see your RL page then go ahead and put you name down as well. Lets get tons of companions and have a awesome game! Name: Seraphine Winter E-mail: [email protected]
  2. I got to goldsmithing 15 in beta and it seems if you happen to fail a few times in a row or an element becomes unstable it's best to wait. I usually save Bold for when I'm trying to HQ though since the fail rate is very high.
  3. I thought it was a pretty accurate description! As a cute story you could borrow if you want: Yesterday I got mini blue berry muffins just for her breakfast and I ended up with toast and OJ. I gave her the muffins and she started nibbling each one. Then I put my toast and OJ on the coffee table and went to check the forums. Not more then 10 seconds later she throws her arms in the air (muffins go on the floor) screams "A toast!!" like it's a warcry and shoves it in her mouth before I could do anything. Then she drank my OJ... while I cleaned up smashed muffins. She got into trouble, but I have to admit, she was so cute with the toast crammed into her little mouth it actually made me smile. Plus the only things she really says are Hi, Dad, Mom and "What is it?" so I felt a kinda proud she said a new word
  4. You love your child more then anything. More then you ever even thought possible. You go through whatever it takes to do your best for them (and sometimes it's pretty awful! my hands are blue atm because of an art project we did together today ) but at the end of the day when they cuddle up to you and smile it's worth it. Plus no matter what they do it's completely adorable... even if they're driving you nuts at the time! One thing to note is just how much of your time a child can take up. When they need something, they need it now and you're the only person who can do the job. This means if they wake you up at 4am and you have plans at 8am, well, you just lost an extra few hours of sleep so they could watch Blue's Clues (most likely the same episode you've seen 400x's) with you. And you'll like it too... because otherwise you'll let them down that's not really an option. Also, you'll never be more broke if you're a doting parent- even if you have tons money you'll spend it on making them happy. Why? - Because seeing them get all excited over something is the best feeling in the world. Even better then new things for yourself. I like getting fun stuff for myself, but I don't jump up and down when I get it, hug it, kiss it, and go to sleep with it tucked under my pillow Parenting is tough and takes nearly everything you've got, but it's the best darn feeling in the world
  5. I wish that were true, then I might actually get some work done. It actually didn't take me too long since that was all stuff on my photobucket from years ago and I didn't write the poem myself

  7. I wish I could have gone! Sadly Zane has been absorbed into Starcraft and won't let me have the computer ; ; It sounds like everyone had a great time though and I hope I can make the next one
  8. Very on topic sig, Rikitiki. To my left I have... ... A random assortment of things I'm trying to keep away from the baby on a dusty table in the corner of the living room. There's the tv remote, a foam block, a couple of coasters, a empty plastic cup, a lamp and a... thing. If I was Macgyver they would form an explosive device and a jet plane for a fast and fiery escape but instead... I'd put the thingie down to confuse the zombies as I run away to the right... Where I would be trapped behind the gate we use to keep our daughter away from the front door, be baffled by the complex lock and have my brains eaten.
  9. Thank you! You're such a lifesaver! I was going nuts trying to find a site that didn't have spy ware to download from. Much appreciated
  10. I didn't think control + r worked at the moment.
  11. I think this is very frustrating too. I guess we all just have to be a little patient and type things with two or three /tells instead of just one.
  12. I still don't know if I like the idea of labeling a server as RP specific since it might dissuade people who would be interested but don't really understand it or have the courage to give it a shot. It also might be a target for people who want to RP some pretty crazy stuff. Because we have a council we can deal with RP'ers who might be harassing other members IC or god-moding where as SE might not exactly get the concept. Hard to translate that to a JP GM and sometimes they do answer NA calls. That aside... freaking awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It shows that SE isn't actually against RP they just aren't really sure of what our needs our. He took it seriously and without remarks against the RP community. Moreover he showed a willingness to co-operate as long as it didn't take up too much of their resources. After all, these are pretty busy people and sometimes they can't finish their own projects for the game let alone other peoples Sidenote Eorzeapedia has been pretty good to us lately and I think it would be nice if we could show our gratitude somehow.
  13. Somehow being stereotyped by someone who can't even spell the word doesn't hurt that much. I guess whatever makes them feel better about not being able to put together a correct sentence...
  14. HAPPY 24TH BIRTHDAY!! Happy Birthday to the best daddy and boyfriend! Thank you for all the wonderful things you bring to our lives! As the title says, life really is a journey and I'm so glad I have such a terrific partner to share it with  But... this feels a little redundant as he already turned 1 earlier this year...
  15. Open Beta Applications are now up and they're giving away keys! Get yous before they're gone. Good luck and see ya in Beta! :cheer:
  16. Each city has a brief storyline and then it's all guildleves and crafting. However, this in itself is diverse enough to keep you busy if you try them all out. My guess is they didn't want to spoil things for us when we're actually paying to play  Right now I'm still rolling on Limsa Lominsa. It has wonderful scenery, a great storyline and it's just a fun place to be. The ocean theme is great and lends itself well to breath-taking scenery. The storyline is full of intrigue and it's the first time I've done missions in a game without being forced My only complaint is that the lower level with Fisherman's Bottom is difficult to navigate. After that Ul'dah is next in line for my favorite. I'll definitely create an alt there to see more of the storyline upon release if you can't do it all on one character. This was a surprise because I didn't think I would like it since once you step outside the city it's desolate. The cut scenes were pretty impressive and the characters appealed to me a lot. I've decided my Seraphine character has an Ul'dah accent as I love the way it sounds! The least favorite of the starter cities is Gridania which is weird because when I first heard about it I thought that's where I'd end up. The two main characters in the beginning cut scenes just annoyed me because their voices were both squeaky and high pitched. All the earthy, hippie stuff got a little old for me as well. The scenery outside the city though was the best. Wow... sorry for the wall of text >.> I didn't think I had such strong opinions yet but... surprise I guess
  17. It would have been nicer to get close to that 400 mark on the vote count. I know a lot of people on Eorzeapedia were hoping to see a big number. Still good job to everyone that voted! We all get punch and pie! :cheer:
  18. Names can't have the letters gm together. I don't know if that's part of your problem though.
  19. But it did cost the shell millions in losses before they even considered compromising with us! Just letting everyone know that being on a server with people that don't respect or work with you isn't fun.
  20. As anyone who has ever arrived at the same Dynamis area as another group or the same NM spawn point can tell ya, it's important to have a good reputation and relationship with the people on your server. Getting mowed over by a large end game group is no fun. In fact, even though my dynamis shell was amazing we got locked out of snow for about two months because one group if jerks decided to dominate the server. In the end diplomacy is what saved that situation. Yeah, it might not seem like a big deal to share a server with these people now, but when you can't get the items you want or make the money you deserve because of who you're sharing the server with it'll matter.
  21. Obviously in the excitement people are kinda overlooking it but YAY!!! :cheer: But what's most important is all the positive feedback! When I checked not one griefer in the lot
  22. At 9:50 we also broke the most users online at 47. I wonder if that will change by 10 :chocobo: :tonberry:
  23. Nope. Congrats and good job getting the word out, everyone :approve: Oh wait... broke the theme... :tonberry: :moogle: :chocobo: :bomb: :ahriman: ... :frustrated:
  24. Wow... I'll have to go look this up as Leanne is the best name ever. I'll forgive the fact she stole it from me if she's cool.
