Well the Astral and Umbral Moons do equate to months and their passage. And you can (if you want) express a passage of years as RL years pass - just, the game itself is not going to pass any time unless lore says it does. Ie. if there's a major plot event in the storyline that earns itself a date. These will likely still take place in the 1st Year of the Seventh Astral Era. But if you wanna RP as if years passed, etc, there's been two Heavensturn (New Years) events in real life, so we're now in the 3rd Year of the Seventh Astral Era - if that's how you wanna RP. Dates are written like this, if you wanted to take today's date as an example: 28th Sun of the Third Astral Moon of the 1st(or 3rd depending) Year of the Seventh Astral Era. This is a pretty good overview of Eorzean Time measurements if you're interested! Also individual days of the week have names based off of their element according to the Las Vegas Lore Panel. I understand that time in the game, as far as the official story goes, will not pass for the player. My question was more for the personal keeping of our characters and interactions between them. To the game, we are each the warrior of light, but none of us RP as such as it would...Well, I'm not sure an explanation is really needed to get that point across. My goal is keeping a personal record of this event happened for this character at this time, marriage- I mean Eternal Bond Anniversaries, Name Days, My character got this scar during the grindstone on *Blank*, on *blank* Rini found the world's largest chocolate chip cookie, etc etc. Random things like that. To say our RP has no time would technically be the collapse of the universe as everything would happen at once...Or something like that...Sorry if I'm confusing, my head hurts...I think I need a Doctor.

Additionally to my last replay, hard to post from my phone, it does seem as though it runs as a personal choice, but I was really hoping it would be one of those things universally agreed on so that there wouldn't be any dispute or issues among other players...Not holding my breath. I'm in agreement that I will most likely have to wait for them to comment on the year Heavensward begins, BUT I can always put the years I believe it to have happened and when the official version comes out I get to do math, yay math, and bring the events up to speed on when they actually happened. Thanks for the responses. Not sure how I will date things with a time freeze and all. I figure the 6 moons stood for a rotation of months since you can pick your birthdate. guess I'll have to wait and see.

So, blonde moment, I've looked at the timeline, and ARR started 5 years after Dalamud....Sooo...has time been normal since then? Is it currently the Third Astral Moon of 1579? Working on a character time line. Thanks all!

Ello! Welcome to the server! Nebbs and I are only the first of a giant horde of players who are likely to greet you. Rinhi has recently started an adventuring group that might perk your interest. We take on "missions" from the leve board that involve running dungeons(using a different name), chasing down hunts, chasing villains, and general day to day things. We are shooting for the "adventure" feel of taking on a job, completing it, and then spending time together. It is now my personal goal to have Rini stalk you. Tbh I've seen you passing by and such and haven't made the effort yet to meet with you on an IC or OOC level. First off, Welcome to MMO RP and FF14 RP as well. While I am unsure if you will find anyone right off who would plan out a relationship, but you will find tons who will offer RP to get you into a community. It could just be MY personal opinion, but joining one of those communities and RPing with someone where a relationship blooms naturally is waaaay better story, but don't let me dissuade you by all means. I mainly wanted to point out that you might not find a lover for your character so easily, but you will certainly make quick friends. Edit: Then again, I might have assumed wrong and you might actually be looking for just a friend right now. If so, bump into L'rinhi sometime! She loves new friends.

Rini is rarely found without her combat robes. Even when she is found without them in her "casual" wear, I play it as they are the garments under the robe. Soft fabrics with a heavy frame and almost never shows any "skin".

Redeemed mine with no issues and have yet to have them take anything from my bank account. They will most likely deduct it when the game itself releases. My friend ,however, has not been so lucky. He put his code into mog station and and it asked him to log in again, he did, and then promptly told him this code has been redeemed already. He called SE support and they told him the code is valid and that is most likely "congestion lag". Hopefully this isn't an ongoing issue, or some people are not going to be so happy.

I agree with letting a story flourish myself, but since you are looking for open doors rather than a hand to pull you through them, I'll just throw out that Rini is single, but not really looking. He could always bump into her though, I love random RP with little OOC setups. But as far as romance, gl, she hasn't a clue about relationships.

First of all!...Hi! For anyone who missed the original post, this is a tool I'm working on that can be used as a master guide to make connections with any sort of "Business" ran by players. I got the idea thinking that I personally would love a list of Plots that I knew I could go to at anytime to find a PC ran bar, or at least know the times they were open. To further this I'll be expanding to pretty much any sort of work from FCs, LSs, and players. If you would like to be added into the alpha, go ahead and respond with the name of the FC, LS, or person that will be contacted, what they do(category), and what times and possibly a place. With this moving forward, I will make a small template that people can fill out. I threw together a little something something to get more ideas from everyone, but it will be very incomplete/fragmented as I will be working on it as I get time. Here are just a few disclaimers before I begin: If you do not wish for your FC, LS, or your name to be mentioned, please address it as so. I will take whomever posts who wants in, but I am also collecting any information I can from any advertisement, that is recent, that might go here. If you do not want to be included let me know and you will be removed. This is the Alpha, no links will be created in this thread. Please give any input...Any...I want it! This is purely being done to help make connections. I'm not looking for credit or praise so please give your honest input when you give it.
