The most reasonable solution is: do not buy the plot from them and just wait for them to leave. If they're upgrading their house they'll HAVE to sooner or later.
-
All I wish for christmas is people to stop using real money to buy houses through Promise Bands and Dyes selling >_< I'm working hard to make gil for one for my FC and am starting to fear there won't be any by the time we have enough! Dear Smilebringer, please go poke Yoshida in the head for me! ((Good thread! I can't think of any in-game item I really want, but I'm sure you'll make lots of happy players!))

Clive signs up to the Adventurer's Guild!

It's not a terrible hinderance so take your time ^^; I'd hate to make you do extra work when there's other things for you to do.

Jet'a Vann Theme Stage Description A round clearing at the top of a tower in the snowy Coerthas. Blizzards intensify the lower Jet'a's Life Points go, and dragons occasionally fly by to spit a fireball that will damage both Jet'a and his opponent if they're too close to where it hits. Moveset Description Long-ranged magic attacks, low mobility but high damage. If interrupted on his casting by critical attacks, Jet'a will counter with spear-fighting movements by shaping a blade of ice on top of his stave until you're forced to back off from him. He will not move from his initial position unless a static DoT is applied to the ground. Special Moves (or Limit Breaks if you wanna be fancy) Ice Rain: Jet'a points the staff to the sky, raising a Manawall around himself as shards of ice rain over all the arena inflicting AoE damage. Can be dodged if you get close enough. Frozen Fortress: (Use at 50% Life Points) Jet'a wraps himself in a thick shell of ice, that functions the same way as Stoneskin. Jet'a cannot attack while inside, but will not be damaged until the barrier is fully broken. Hitting the barrier will have the same effect as Ice Spikes, damaging the attacker. Keeper of Fury: Can occur if a wyrm approaches the tower when Jet'a's Life Points are between 1% and 25% HP. Jet'a traps the dragon into the arena by freezing its legs to the floor with a spell. Jet'a temporarily jumps away from the arena, and the dragon goes on a frenzy sequence of attacks to free itself. Dodging 0/5 dragon attacks and having no healing skills will prompt K.O. of the opponent. Nemesis None! Intro Quotes General 1: "..." General 2: "If you were the type to change your mind, you wouldn't be here." General 3: "Know that I have no fun in this." Against Blue Vann: "Wait... Could you be...?" Against Kara Ashdale: "Meddlesome child..." Against X'elo Maimhov: "For some reason, I expected this day would come." Against a Nuhn: "I have no respect for the likes of you." Against a Seeker of the Sun woman: "You deserve better than what the Warden gave you..." Against a female of any other clan/race: "Please, do not make me do this and be on your way." Against Himself: "A Godsend invite to repent?" Win Quotes General 1 (With 75%+ Life Points left): "..." General 2 (With 25-74% Life Points left): "Blood won't stand out too much in a night of new moon." General 3 (With less than 25% Life Points left): "Nald'Thal has granted me a little more time..." Against Blue Vann: "What have I done..?!" Against Kara Ashdale: "Lesson learned, I hope." Against X'elo Maimhov: "A predictable epilogue." Against a Nuhn: "How did you even gain your title?" Against a Seeker of the Sun woman: "Had you been a Keeper, you would have been a respectable Matriarch." Against a female of any other clan/race: "Forgive me..." Against Himself: "You cannot deliver salvation to me." Lose Quotes General 1 (Opponent with 75%+ Life Points left): "I have no Hope..." General 2 (Opponent with 25-74% Life Points left): "Goddess Menphina.. Why?" General 3 (With less than 25% Life Points left): "Matriarch... Forgive me..." Against Blue Vann: "You will be safe.. Even without me" Against Kara Ashdale: "What sort of trick is this...?!" Against X'elo Maimhov: "I give up... Just leave me alone." Against a Nuhn: "Could be... that I misjudged you..." Against a Seeker of the Sun woman: "A proud daughter of the Warden..." Against a female of any other clan/race: "Perhaps it is better this way..." Against Himself: "It's on you now... Nothing will change..."

Jet'a is hopeless at humor. Like, terribly so. Understanding jokes, or making them is not something the Twelve had in mind for him. Thankfully, he doesn't seem interested in them. Blue is kind of a natural talent provided that she is taught well. But for as long as she keeps traveling with the wrong people and is affected by their teachings, she will really be a good-at-nothing. Social conventions is her major lacuna. Vincent? Killing. No matter how hard he tries to become a tougher man and all the cruelty and rough stuff he experiences, taking something or someone's life is something he simply cannot do. Chiara... cursing. She cannot curse or use vulgar language, no matter how hard her friends push her (or provoke her). As an upper class of Ul'dah, politeness and keeping classy is a natural trait for her. I haven't RPd Dylise enough to really think of what she'd be unpracticed at. Likely, trusting others. Kujh'a is hopeless at keeping cool. Squirming, panicking, and overall running his mouth at the wrongest times seems to be his prime occupation, which is likely how he always gets in trouble.... Clive cannot stay awake for longer than four hours straight. Much like a lion, sleeping is his main occupation, saving his energies for when it really matters. In decreasing order of priority, what will keep him awake are hunting Primals, having sex, training and eating. Valeria... She just can't have fun, I guess. She's all business-business 24/8.

I guess I should mention this now though it has been going on for a long while (it just never really bothered me)... For a couple months now I have no longer been receiving Alerts for being quoted in threads I did not make. I still get Alerts when: - Receiving a PM. - Someone posts on a thread I made. - Someone quotes me in a thread I made. - Someone modifies my reputation. I just don't get alerts for being quoted in others' threads (such as the Screenshot Thread etc.). I've been trying to fix it through settings but I find nothing of the sort.

An Ode to Ul'dah~ And Her Real Sultana!

It's cold as hell in this room and I can't help it in any way I already haven't. Was it REALLY necessary to make bands tradable? Now all those players with more RL money than me will claim all the houses before my FC has a chance to make that amount... UGHHHH SE, fix your servers already! I've been DCing all damn night >_< !

Middeus, Clive and Kara, pleasantly (or not?) bickering at the Quicksand. I really, really would like this to be a mount, even a very-slow one: And I really, really also wish I could pull my weapon out while on chocoback...: Did you notice the beastmen have the same running animations when wielding weapons as we do? Maybe in the distant future they could become playable, like FFXI Monstrosity...

Yup, it's doing great now, thanks!

Males should wear the Eternal Bond dress too, look how gorgeous Luc'a is!

*Blue chokes to death* *Jet'a sighs in relief, at least she died in purity*

Worry not, it will be. Aaaand yep, just tried it. It's as broken as /hug. If anyone was planning to get this done for the emote, don't bother. I don't know... I think it's more tragic to see couples that formed just a week ago marry right away. This is a decision that should take months to be taken, if not years. And people don't want to wait that long so.. either make an IC wedding and look like eager Hollywood couples, or do it OOC and get no IC reputation repercussions.

Blue embraces her inner horse.

Hmph. Twitterpated. I'm not sure what to make of this! I don't even know what that means! You can't say you have had a normal childhood if you haven't watched Bambi!
-
No one of my characters really has an interest for weddings to be honest... I have one character that has been married in the past (to an NPC), but that's about it. Will likely do this OOC for the dress and chocobo.

Carbuncle thinks Cait Sith doll is not to be trusted. ------------------------------- That Lalafell guy's face... He's having dirty thoughts, no doubt. ------------------------------- And I think I've found the grumpiest Snowman in Eorzea.

I wish the best of luck with this, however I'd like to just throw my 2-cent here. My Half-Garlean, half-Ala Mhigan character Clive Stark has a somewhat similar off-set as what you are proposing. Born in Ala Migho from a local lady and a man who had come from Garlemald as a spy, he was six when Ala Migho was invaded by the Garleans. Like all the other children in there at the time, he was brainwashed and educated in trusting the Garlemald's cause, and to despite the Twelve, beastmen and Primals. Thanks to his father's connections, he was trained in the imperial army and fought as a trooper for them (though he did not partake to Cartenau battle, being dispatched elsewhere). After Cartenau, Clive was suddenly evicted from the imperial outpost he was at, for reasons unknown to him, and forbidden to enter again. The Imperials have orders to push back anyone with the same tattoo Clive was branded with on the forehead (by the imperial themselves), and since then he has been living as a stray in the outlands. At the present time, Clive finally left the refugees camp he has lived in to join a band of adventurers. And here comes my warning for your plan: while there was initial spite on him upon learning his past and moral (he is still highly supporting of what the Imperials do, and despites Eorzea's religion as well as anything related to the Primals), the angry feeling settled down a lot quicker than even I had expected. I wasn't treated as an evil spy as I had originally thought I would be. Adventurers in Eorzea tend to be a lot more tolerant and friendly than you'd expect in a real life setting, so be prepared for that. ------------------------------------------ As a side note after all that, here's a main reason why people struggle to RP villains (aside what was said in the earlier posts already, which totally make sense). You can't really do anything that matters to be a villain. You can't destroy cities, you can't steal national treasures, you can't kill players unless there is consent (and trust me, that's very rare). And people seem to have some OOC leak in which if they see you kill "just an NPC", then it doesn't make you as villanous as killing a PC would. To RP an effective villain, you'd probably need to set up this scenario among close friends who already know the general outlines of the plot and will react accordingly. It's semi-scripted, I know, but so far it's the most fail-proof way.

Family reunion~ So is it confirmed that the same character can marry twice? I'm reading different discussions and people are being skeptical about it because of the "Eternal Bond" name.
-
I'd wait to see it in game before saying that. Even the picture for /hug made it look legit and like the two characters would be automatically engaged in it to match movements.
-
What a disappointment, nothing RP-friendly (for those who do not marry at least). Was hoping for at least a new changepose or casualwear, meh. Will totally laugh if that /embrace emote is just as broken as /hug.

I don't know what happened here, but Blue actually seems to be showing some emotion for a change.... ... unamusement. Aaand this instead is last year Starlight's screenshot for the contest. Can't wait to get a new one!
