  1. The hair you see on that male elezen are 2.3's Highlander male hairstyle. It means it has been extended to all other races. So yeah, we can all have it now. The "original/locked" haircuts this round are Miqo'tes. Which means 2.6 will be Lalafell's turn (I think they're the only ones left in the haircuts rotation, before they restart over).
  2. Sounds like the opening theme of a japanese anime, honestly. <_<;
  3. Ward 7 here as well, and not leaving any time soon! We're invested already too much money in all the rooms and furniture of our orphanage.

I'm not sure what to do about Vincent's age now. I've always RPd him to have just barely turned 18 years old, and to be new to the "harsh life" as an adult and outside of the safe house walls. Claiming to be 18 always made it so that other RPers treaded him as a kid still, and I liked that. It's what I want for him. But the latest lore interview revealed that Elezen have longer life spans, and that their different ages last longer. So to be a 18 years elezen I'd likely have to look like a RL 10 years old kid, which I can't... So, to physically look like a 18 years old, IC he should be older... maybe in his twenties? And even then, they did not explain how fast elezen's minds age. Would a 10-yo-looking Elezen have the maturity of a 18-yo person? Or would their maturity come slower than ours does? Also, I am afraid that if I start to say I am in my mid-twenties, people will start treating me like an adult, which I don't want... I'm really conflicted about all this.
  5. A little update! I have managed to get a post on page 2 of the new "Ask Questions for the Devs" thread, and I took the chance to bring up the RP/IC icon request. Please hop on this post and give it a little thumb up! It's a little effort to give attention to what would be an awesome feature!
  6. Blade finds Blue alone and helpless after getting washed up in Costa del Sol. ...And carries her to his temporary living place at an abandoned house in Outer La Noscea.
  7. kjara1988 here. (Please invite me) I'm Italian and embarrassed at my little spoken English skills, so I'm quiet most of the time, but Twelve know if I need some practice ...
  8. Cheers! Then I'm totally signing up as my main character. Name is Jet'a Vann!
  9. I'm interested in this linkshell! It's so difficult to find RP these days.. er.. nights. Character name is Jet'a Vann
  10. Hello! I've had some interest in your description and I was wondering if you had an RP LS alongside the Free Company. I'd really love to join you as a linkshell member :?!
  11. Just going to throw this out there, but I think it wouldn't be a bad idea if every now and then Upper Class parties were thrown. I especially expect to see something of the sort in Ul'dah, and maybe Ishgard when it will be open to us. I think it would be very easy to do. Though it may require a linkshell, or some OOC organization of sort, because if nobles are to attend, we should at the very least know them beforehand. Big names are expected to be known among the people, especially among members of Upper Classes, who tend to be somewhat cliquey. For example, I have never roleplayed with Otto Vann as my noble lady Chiara Foschiani, but ICly I think it would be a must for her to already know him, if only just by fame. At the same time, I'd expect her name to be known, as she is the wife of a very prestigious goldsmith in Ul'dah (and a goldsmith herself, though of a different popularity as her husband's, as she excels in clockwork and minions-type of goldsmithing rather than jewels or bonecrafting). So yes, I think events to have rich people gather and meet would be great and... it would also offer some fun for wanna-be RP criminals (a bunch of riches all clustered together, what better chance to make the robbery of the century?) and, obviously, bodyguards and law enforcement.
  12. Some of my characters use the rather racist insult "Son of a Seeker" or "Son of a Nuhn", an Eorzean version of what we use in Real Life to point at someone whose mother has tendency to sleep with many men (Except, of course, the Eorzean version implies the father does, instead).
  13. Emote spam, OOC harassment, RP griefing and shout FC advertisement are my usual blacklist choices... However I also give temporary blacklist to RPers who emote things that make me uneasy (such as getting physical, kissing, and unnecessary descriptive paragraphs of their body parts and movements). I'll blacklist for as long as we're in the same /say range, after that I usually remove them from blacklisting. I am guilty of oversensitivity and a prude, but I also feel I don't really need to read of your "luxuriously sanguine lips" and of how they run all over your fiancé's face. :frustrated: :thumbsup:Please take account of the sensitivity of those around your /say range and move that stuff to /party or /tells chat please. I'm not happy to blacklist RPers.
  14. Clive and Kara... the most complicated couple in Eorzea.
  15. A few shameless wanna-be emo-badass shots during Jet'a's meditation at Urthr's Gift, just a moment before he unleashes his suppressed rage and receives the Woodsin by venting with his thaumaturgy in an uncharted area of the Twelveswood.
  16. I was going to give my 2 gil on the topic but then I saw this post and well... no point repeating the same stuff. I 100% agree with this, and every word in it stands for my own completely. Edit: Adding the PoV for all of my characters.. Blue: She was raised isolated by the outside world, and those who raised her (along with those who now travel with her) have always cautiously avoided the topic around her. As of now, she is clueless about romance or mating and struggles to understand when she overhears comments related to these subjects on her travels. Jet'a Vann: Much as any emo-badass stereotype, Jet'a seems completely asexual and not interested in having a sexual partner. He was hit on by others several times already IC ((Which is what pushed me away from open RP, got tired of meeting new RPers only to find out they were only interested in the bedroom...)) , and he always rejected them. I honestly cannot see that changing. Vincent Laucent: He is the Pure&Innocent stereotype, and just turned 18. As of now, he is not interested in romance, and he doesn't seem to attract women either ((which is hopefully a sign I can RP a teenager well)). Chiara Foschiani: She was married, so obviously she had sex at one point in her life ((with an NPC which I did not RP since this would be about her past history background)). Being the high society citizen she is, talking about intimacy among people is taboo and she gets very flustered when people around her bring it up. Dylise Rontremont: A materialistic thief. Maybe she would resort to her beauty to steal something off of others ((though it never occurred to me to RP that)), but she is otherwise too interested in making money and claim pretty things without being taught to distract herself with boys. Kujh'a Lihzeh: While he is currently engaged into a relationship, Kujh avoids bringing the topic up with others. He is more interested in epic adventures. Clive Stark: Perhaps the most sexually-driven character I have. Clive avoided commitment like plague, preferring prostitutes and one-night adventures with strangers rather than having a real relationship ((again, none of this stuff was actually RPd. I'm too shy.)). However, since he got to travel with Kara, and had to deal with her crush on him, he has been holding back on flirting with others or looking for whores, slowly letting himself grow fond of the girl. Valeria Idavoll: Valeria did get the attention of several characters up to this point, but always sternly rejected them, even with some annoyance. Clive theorized that she might be gay, but who knows if that is true.
  17. Jet'a the way 99% of people see him: And the way nobody sees him, because shirts can't be glamoured on BLM nor ALC (that's his only IC classes).
  18. Specular screenshots of Jet'a and Blue ~ Wonder when the day will come that the siblings finally find each other!
  19. Right, but if we look at the developers as GMs, Yoshida's statement should support the lore of this ritual as not being exclusive of romantically involved couples. I think it would only be fair, honestly... Romance should not be a key requirement to be eternally bound. In many fantasy tales you see lots of characters that have a form of "eternal bond" relationship without being romantically involved. Sometimes it's siblings, other times it's comrades. I am not going to say that romantic couples who do Eternal Bond shouldn't call each other's "husband" and/or "wife" (those titles are already used by NPCs in the game, though it's nowhere specified what kind of ritual they used to marry), but at the same time Eternal Bond shouldn't be kept away from other types of couples who want to make an oath to each other to display their devotion and love in all its many facets.
  20. Yoshida's repeated calls to not compare Eternal Bond to "marriage" or to not call it that way makes me think that this ritual does not pertain only romantic relationships (and frankly, I prefer it that way, since it allowed for same-gender players to partake to it without rising protests of differently politically inclined players). I imagine it may also be taken for Eternal Bonds of brotherhood, for example, or loyal friendship as well... you know, all that kind of relationships that includes love but no sexual exchanges. In this latter case, I can already think of a couple characters among my roster that may exchange Eternal Bond with their respective loyal adventuring partners.
  21. Those are totally decent pajamas and I won't have have anyone tell me otherwise! *tantrum* Exactly, that's what I use them for, pajamas. To go out in the streets like that is to me a little off ICly. My characters would stay in that set out of home only if they were in very isolated places and the situation called for it (such as taking shirt off to use as an emergency bandage).
  22. ^ That. Plus, at night desert areas actually get cold. Ideally, if you want an idea of what will make you stand out or not, you should take a look at the majority of the NPCs where you want to RP, and not just at some NPCs in certain spots of the map. The game also gave a sign of growing sense of decency when SE changed the look of prostitutes from 1.0 (where they were in underwear at most) to A Realm Reborn (Where they wear dresses, though there are small exceptions such as the one in Costa del Sol. But then again, that's Costa del Sol). Also, the lv1 hempen camise/underpants is underwear. To go around just with that on may raise questions.. at least from most of my characters it would.
  23. Some rare IC shots of Jet'a without some kind of concealing hood/mask/goggles. I tend to get waaay too many flirty comments when he isn't hiding his face (expecially OOC ones from random strangers' tells... awkwardddd....). This was back in 2013, with his starting haircut: And this is now in 2014. I frankly can't imagine any better hairstyle for an emo character as Jet'a is Also, uh.. Does anyone need a Lamb of Dalamud cameo? Jet'a isn't one IC, but I've had the luck to get the cloak from Cutter's Cry, and am more than willing to play as a nameless Lamb for whoever's needs.
  24. Chiara is publicly wealthy, though her recent friendship with some adventurers has brought her to not flaunt it with arrogance. For example, the other day she gifted them with a couple of her Draught Chocobos (she has a whole stable of them ICly and has them compete in show jumping). Being a goldsmith in Ul'dah is a pretty easy way to get wealthy quickly (though, she was born wealthy herself).
  25. Chiara is an upper-class of the Ul'dahn society. She ICly owns a manor in the Ul'dahn residential area (not the Goblet), an area off-limits to commoners. I have occasionally used the Haukke Manor instance with my friends to RP scenes on the inside, after OOCly clearing the rooms we needed. Just a shame seats there don't work.
