I'm just imagining Ifrit's reaction to DST, or being summoned in general now. "Oh great. Everyone getting up an hour earlier is going to do wonders for my day." "Alright! Now on a more serious note, I have always felt a good rule of thumb for portraying a character skilled in certain fields is to base it around the roleplayers side of the universe; the difference between saying your character is a talented Conjurer versus a White Mage. One is obtainable through traditional means for anyone while the other is supposedly this ultra rare phenomena, relatively speaking at least. It's just a show of tact and respect to your fellow RPers. And I agree, where's the fun in playing a super special awesome amazeballs? There's no story or depth to build from there. After all, they're amazing! I also won't even acknowledge anyone RPing actual NPCs. That just... irks me on so many levels. Come on, people. You can create your own characters. Doing so privately is one thing. Publicly? Gotta say no. Oddly enough, I have yet to see it happen somehow.

You may want to look into Wayfarers. They certainly fit into the casual, slice of life atmosphere. Haven't had a chance to meet everyone yet, but those I have met/RPed with have been awesome. ^^

A good rule of thumb is to link your wiki and/or RP profile in your sig. That can help remind people if they happen to forget. I say this having not yet done that because my wiki is still a WIP ;-;

Story of my life. ;-; I forever worry over whether my replies were as good or interesting, especially when someone response with a large paragraph I rather enjoyed. This only gets worse in group dynamics because I have difficulty keeping up with a scrolling chat box. I'm just far too accustom with 1v1 or the occasional small group. For whatever it may be worth though, I really like Roen. Another insecurity I didn't mention earlier is my tendency to be a bit verbose. Given Cassandra's backstory as having a noble of sorts upbringing, and the game itself throwing around words you don't often see elsewhere, I often work it into my own replies; primarily in her dialogue. I, personally, love the style and always fall back into it if the world I'm working in allows for it, but at the same time... I can't help wonder if it annoys people or I come across snobbish.

Primal Pigeons! Even if the drop rate is awful, I'll probably spend way too long farming them once I work out my PvE rust. Good way to keep that rust at bay in the future.

That I am horribly rusty at PvE/progression content due to becoming obsessed over crafting and meeting new RP partners. So whenever I queue up for stuff and I don't do well, I feel really bad about it. Doesn't help I've only recently converted to a keyboard/mouse setup after over twenty years of controller play. So... yeah..
