I can offer up Olivia, who is something of a vagabond sellsword with penchant for alcohol. And by that I mean rarely finds a reason to drink. Making seedy bars right up her alley. Fun aside, I think they might actually mesh pretty well. Liv tends to say whatever comes to mind, especially if it leads to a snark off. So they have that much in common. Otherwise, she too is mostly exploring Eorzea in between odd jobs. Would love to set something up if you’re interested. ^^

Yes, I need to know the basic knowledge of the technicalities of RP on FFXIV still. You should visit some of the FFVII dedicated boards. GameFAQs has a lot of people livid at the idea this won't be turn based anymore, From the looks of it, I'm getting a FFXIII vibe since they do show explicit Attack and Defend options in lieu of just pressing buttons to do those actions.

FFXIV's dev teams strikes me as people who give far too much benefit of the doubt to their playerbase. Which is sad, because while I do like they believe that strongly in the community, some people will inevitably exploit it. From the small team they've got the amount of issues that DON'T make it live is pretty damn amazing. These guys have to be working themselves to the bone. They probably are. IIRC Yoshi had a little moment in one of the recent Live Letters in which he made a passive aggressive comment about being understaffed that caught a lot of people's attention. There's been a lot of rumor about that recently. I'm starting to believe a lot of XIV's revenue is not going back into XIV. I don't understand why Square isn't re-investing back into the game. XI wrapped up all new content, how about putting some of them on XIV's staff? Square Enix nearly bankrupted themselves after 1.0's disastrous launch, coupled with spending obscene amounts on Tomb Raider and FFXIII. The former supposedly didn't make a profit, while the latter struggled to corner the estimated market. I suspect they are using FFXIV to funnel other projects to basically reinvigorate the company. FFXIV, unfortunately, has long been viewed as a hail mary attempt to salvage a sinking ship. The fact it practically saved SE makes me think their shareholders are writing it off with the mentality, "well, if you were successful with a shoestring budget. Why should we give you more money?" Sincerely hope that isn't the case long term.

Hello, Madi! Very apologize for inexperience. We've all been there. Still fairly new to RPing in MMOs myself. In any case, I actually might have something to offer, as Olivia here is much the same in hiding her true identity. She is a bit of a wayward soul, constantly on the move, though recently settling a bit near Limsa. Kind of being a grump herself, I could possibly see them clashing at first in a somewhat comedic way. I don't yet have a wiki up, but if you want to hash out any further ideas or just set up RPs, do send a /tell or I'll hit you up. ^^

While generally a bit rigid by nature, Olivia tends to enjoy flirts/playful banter and while do so in kind, especially if you happen to catch her fancy. A possible plot development could come from Liv being of Garlean descent, though she's been on the run from them for nearly a decade. Mr. Happy mentioned in a recent video the devs apparently will be shifting to only a level lock come 4.0. This means Heavensward will be entirely skip-able, though he didn't say if ARR's content will be equally so. Unfortunately, we still have to endure a grind until they do implement something like this. If you can stomach the hours needed, Coerthas and Northern Thanalan have daily fate parties. I managed to level Dragoon from 35 to 50 in roughly 10-12 hours. And thank you, OP. Didn't know about a few of these features.

Unfortunately, most of the "joke" characters I see are lalafells. So it does make difficult to take any seriously. Hell, back when I was barely a week or so into the game, I saw some sort of naked lalafell convention, which was even advertised in shout. Now I am certainly aware there are plenty of good Lalas out there, but stuff like the aforementioned does little to help their reputation as a whole.

Trend very carefully if you're only talking about characters. The person behind the mask is likely quite different, thus the character you're "falling in love with" does not actually exist. If these feelings have propped up due to OOC interactions, well, then you have another scenario entirely. One I also advise you trend carefully, lest you end up hurt. Becoming close friends, where you enjoy talking with that person daily needn't be more than that.

I made a facebook post about this and my boss called me into his office and gave me a serious talk about understanding others because apparently getting upset about it is being an entitled brat. His explanation was: You are blonde. Blondes are stereotyped to be friendly people. This man probably liked you and thought you were attractive, so he sat next to you just to be near you. If you were an old man this would never happen, so you should be glad for it. It's appreciation that you will one day miss. If he were some cute boy you wouldn't have complained at all. And I'm too socially passive to do anything about it. I did; however, learn that I can pretend to be getting up for my stop and then move to a different seat instead of getting off the train. I don't. Unless the person I'm roleplaying with mentions them, I simply reference training as a way of explaining certain skills my character has. To me, soulstones are an example of story and gameplay segregation. They exist for the player as an achievement, but have little necessity for the roleplayer. I find backstories of a character's experiences far more interesting than defaulting to "a magic stone granted me POWAH!" Way I see it, provided you aren't breaking established lore, go about it however you like.

Sorry Vyce, but I tend to break up that flow here. Mostly if I happen to be with someone and we're talking as it's incredibly awkward for me to look up or down towards someone on an escalator. This is why stairs a good thing.

According to Steam, I have clocked 511 hours since September 1st of this year. I regret nothing! :cactuar: What I actually do is mostly leveling, since I have a lot of content to run. My FC also does a fair bit of RP, so it passes the time quickly.
